I was a little hesitant because the reviews marked it high but the price was surprisingly low. Wow, I'm glad the reviews were right. Thanks TripAdvisor network! Clean modern rooms, WiFi, free semi-continental breakfast, clean parking lot, grounds, and lobby. Price was shockingly low and a welcome relief to my wallet. Great job Comfort Inn Monticello.

Booked late and there were few locations left around Charlottesville. Those remaining had either poor reviews or were quite pricey. Comfort Inn, while not inexpensive, had a reasonably good balance of positive reviews, ok location, middle tier pricing (for this area), and free breakfast and wi-fi to boot. The room was clean, though the bathroom shower curtain had a faint whiff of mold (there was no curtain liner), and the air exhaust duct was choked with dust. Upon arrival and using the toilet we discovered a small leak at the base of the commode. The hotel staff came out promptly to assess the problem which was fixed the next day. Ample towels in the room served as a stop gap to stanch the small volume of seepage. Outside of that the place met our basic needs and then some with a good quality breakfast bar featuring standards like toast, muffins, cereal, and fruit, and also eggs with meats, waffle makers with a nice blend of pumpkin spice batter, juice, and coffee machines, as well as yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Wi-fi was easy to set up and the signal was strong. All in all an acceptable experience.

Comfort Inns are pretty standard and this one was pretty good. Not the newest, but the rooms were clean, Wifi fast, and breakfast good. We stayed three nights. It's up a hill right off I64, so you might miss it the first time. Nothing is right next to it, but a number of restaurants within 1 mile and Charlottesville is only 10 minutes away.

Room had been recently remodelled and was nicely done. Beds were not the same height but were comfortable. Only issue to note for some, if you have a room on the second floor, is that the building does not currently have an elevator (but we were told it is a planned addition). We would stay there again.
