Gli ultimi 200 metri che portano all'ingresso della villa fanno parte di una strada di campagna che forse troverai difficile affrontare un veicolo di grandi dimensioni. Naturalmente si può fare, niente di impossibile, quindi dipende da voi cari ospiti! :)

Where do I start. This is the most beautifully positioned villa, and you honestly could not ask for more in terms of view, serenity and location. Poppi (a beautiful little unspoilt town) is a breathtaking 20min drive away, with lovely authentic shops to buy fresh pasta, cheese and meats. And a couple of delicious family-run restaurants.
The villa itself was very clean and is packed with rustic Italian charm. The numerous outdoor spaces make it a fab place to stay in for dinner and simply enjoy the view.
The hosts are the warmest, friendliest and most accommodating that I have ever come across. Stella was on hand to help us with our every need, all hours of the day. And having mentioned that we wanted to use the pizza oven one evening, we returned that afternoon to find that Gigi (Stella's father) had been to lay the firewood and set everything up for us.
Bellissimo all round. We'll definitely be back!

Highly recommended
We stayed in this beautiful villa in the hills above the medieval town of Poppi.
In short, our stay was excellent, relaxing and joyful.
The hosts were most accomodating and catered to our every need. They provided us with information about the surrounding area, activities to do such as wine tasting at Casa Giannino, cooking class at the villa and tourist attractions such as the medieval castle of Poppi.
The pool was cleaned every day during our stay.
The hosts took time out their schedule to teach us how to work the pizza oven, situated on the front porch.
The villa is situated on the hillside far away from the main roads, in fact at a dead end of a small country road.
The 15 minutes it takes to drive from Poppi is rewarded with traquility, privacy and breathtaking views over the valley.
La Podere la Casina is perfect for a wonderful Toscana vacation.

Bellissimo
Bellissimo is a word we often used at Podere, beautiful house, area, country and wonderful people. Nice welcome, and wonderful stay. Perfect for a big family like us. The road is narrow through the countryside , and it takes 15 min to town, but you soon got used to the road. Wonderful vacation. Thank you again :)

A wonderful stay at a beautiful spot
The villa is located in a beautiful spot with a view over Poppi, a village with medieval castle, shops with gourmet food and a variety of restaurants. The villa had plenty of room to accommodate us and the surrounding is so beautiful and always something to discover.
We traveled a bit, to Arezzo and Florence and it's roughly an hours drive in either direction. We also drove to Cortona which I recommend to everyone, its a magnificent place to visit.
Nicolo was always ready to answer any questions beforehand, so we were well informed and ready for our vacation. Stella and Luigi were wonderful and so helpful when we arrived and were always a phone call away.
I've totally fallen in love with Italy and this spot is absolutely wonderful to start a journey. The Italians are so hospitable and wonderful people to visit.
I will visit again, as soon as possible!

A place to come back.
We had a great time at Podere la Casina. We were eight people (4 adults and 4 children), and had more space than we could actually use. The house is very big, and the rooms are bigger than they look by the pictures. There are many rooms, so easy to isolate yourself if you want, but also there are plenty of great comunal areas to spend time together. We stayed for 2 weeks and didnt want to leave the house, but the location has so many interesting touristic attractions that we ended up going to Arezzo, La Verna, Anghiari, Florence, and the castle in Poppi, which were all great.
The house is quite remote, but it had all that we needed.
The views are absolutely stunning and we took pictures daily to try to capture and remember the beauty of it. In addition, the family was very helpful in coming every day to clean the pool and water the plants at the early hour (we almost didnt see them) and leaving us some delicious italian meals. They were also very responsive and accomodating, as we arrived 6 hours later than originally expected.
We all thought this to be the most memorable house and place we stayed so far (and we have been in quite a few) and definitely plan to come back. Thanks Stella, Anna, Giggi, Paolo and Nicolo for the great vacations we had!

Capodanno bellissimo!
È stato un soggiorno molto rilassante e divertente, la casa è bellissima! I proprietari sono stati molto gentili ed accoglienti, non avremmo potuto chiedere di meglio!

5 Star villa set high in the hills above a gorgeous Tuscan valley
I cannot say enough about this beautiful home or the family who owns and manages it! Dad "Gigi" met us in the small piazza in Ponte a Poppi so that he could lead us up the winding road to the villa. The drive up there was rustic and gorgeous, up higher and higher through woods, grape vines and olive groves. Once we got to the house, my whole family was speechless. It is picture perfect! You could immediately see that every inch of it is taken care of with love, and a keen attention to detail. In the week we spent there, I found new and interesting details every day. I am going to add photos to this review because nothing I could say will do this house justice. There were 9 of us, and we were all able to sleep comfortably, have private space and share amazing meals at the many dining tables throughout the house. The 1st morning I woke up there, I opened my window and was treated to the sound of church bells and a valley view that I could look at for the rest of my life and never get bored. Everything you need is there and whatever isn't, is a text away to the family- they took care of everything immediately. Every morning, fresh bread, pastries and anything else we asked for was delivered to our door to save us from having to go down the hill for breakfast. My brother in law especially enjoyed his morning talks with Gigi- they speak different languages, but always managed to communicate well. He has tremendous respect for him. We alternated enjoying the house for the day and going on day trips to Cortona, Florence, Arezzo and various wineries- nothing more than 1.5 hours away and always a beautiful drive. Podere di Pomaio "green" winery is a MUST! The castle in Poppi (which is visible every day and night from the house), is fascinating; built in the 1200's- be sure to make the climb to the bell tower- the view is breathtaking. And Cortona was a dream- the unassuming Basilica di Santa Margherita and Fortezza del Girifalco don't look like much from the outside, but do step in- they were magical. In the church, I was moved to tears with it's beauty and reverence and standing on the fort's walls affords a view like you've never seen before. So much beauty and rich culture at the villa and around it! If you're looking for a centrally located, peaceful garden of Eden in Tuscany, please stay at this home and get to know this wonderful family.

Beauty beyond description and total tranquility
It is hard to describe how beautiful the setting of this wonderful house is - the views are breathtaking, and the many fantastic outdoor spaces make this the perfect place to stay. We spent a week here with our young kids and are pretty sure we will never stay somewhere quite like this again. The pool, hammock, many gardens and terraces and places to sit and enjoy the silence and scenery, the fruit and olive trees all around, were made all the more special by the fantastic warm and helpful hosts. It is pretty remote but with a car this is a great place to combine time relaxing, reading, and just being, with visits to beautiful villages and towns in the region. It is the kind of place people write books about. I hope we are lucky enough to return one day.

Amazing views from a beautiful Tuscan home .
We can not say enough about the hospitality and warmth we felt at Podere La Casina. We were four adults and four children. Yes the ride up is daunting, the views very much worth it! And the ride gets easier after a few attempts. The loving family that opened up their home to us could not have been more accommodating. The children loved the pool and us the outdoor dining space and stunning views. It is remote so you must plan accordingly.The home is clean and well maintained. The kids had a great time playing hide and seek through out the expansive home and property. If you are looking for a retreat away this Villa is perfect! We made pizza one night in the outdoor brick oven, facilitated by Gigi the owner. The children looked forward to Gigi's morning visits and the basket of goodies on arrival and pastries Gigi brought later in the week were a special treat. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this beautiful space for family and friends looking for time together in a beautiful setting.
