The Cowhous rests in Whixall and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. This single-storey property consists of an open-plan living space with a kitchen with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, ample dining seating and a sitting area with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with an en-suite and two doubles, also with en-suites. Outside, there is a patio area and lawned garden with furniture, as well as off-road parking for three cars. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Apologies, no pets and no smoking allowed. Within 3.3 miles there is a shop and within 2.2 miles, a pub. Region: A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: Nestled immediately north of the Shropshire Hills AONB, close the Welsh and English borders, this small market town in Shropshire has a warm and charming air to it. This town houses a town hall, train station, real ale pubs, pleasant cafes and friendly restaurants, as well as a few specialised stores brimming with delights, and is the administrative centre for Shropshire council's northern area committee. This is the excellent area to visit if you prefer walking, as there are several trails and pathways that will take you through beautiful scenery. Visit the nearby Tudor town of Shrewsbury, which has a historic castle, a gorgeous abbey, and a fascinating museum and art gallery. This town is notable for being the birthplace of Charles Darwin, whose statue stands outside the public library.
