Beautiful and cosy house in a outstanding location. Fantastic host who gave us all the tips to visit aosta valley which we did. Can't wait to go back! We recommend to anyone who likes a relaxing environment and good hiking holiday!

This was our second fantastic stay at the house of light. The owner, Guglielmo, has been very kind to allow us to stay and is always very attentive to the needs of visitors. The house of light is incredible, with panoramic views over the Gran Paradiso national park. The kitchen is very well equipped, with plenty of space to work your kitchen magic. This is a great place to stay for both couples and families. We will make sure to visit again if we find ourselves in the area!!

Nous avons passé deux très agréables semaines dans cet appartement, situé dans le petit hameau de Venoz, haut perché dans la montagne au dessus de Nus, dans la vallée d'Aoste. Le cadre y est splendide, le calme y est garanti, d'autant qu'il n'y a aucun commerce, juste quelques voisins dans les maisons à côté. L'appartement est très joliment aménagé et dispose de beaucoup de confort. Nous avons juste trouvé que les crédits de connexion internet s'épuisaient très vite, malgré que nous ne téléchargions aucun film et ne faisions aucun streaming. Le lieu est donc très bien situé pour des vacances de repos, mais aussi pour des ballades partant à proximité du hameau. Toutefois, les avantages de la tranquillité ont aussi leur inconvénients, puisqu'il faut gérer au mieux les trajets en voiture jusqu'à la vallée pour se rendre en ville, à Aoste, pour faire des courses plus conséquentes. Des courses alimentaires de base sont toutefois possibles au village de Nus, qui est le premier vrai village en descendant vers la vallée. L'appartement permet aussi de rejoindre le village de Cogne, porte d'entrée du parc national du Grand Paradis, mais il faut compter un peu plus d'une heure en voiture jusque là. Toutefois, ça vaut la peine, à découvrir! A noter enfin: les glaces du pâtissier/glacier Buzzi, à Nus, sont vraiment remarquables! Enfin, impossible de ne pas parler des propriétaires, qui sont charmants et chaleureux, et font tout ce qui est possible pour l'accueil de leurs locataires. On les remercie vivement.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en famille. Il ne manque rien dans ce chalet au coeur d'un petit village typique. Calme et reposant avec une vue extraordinaire ! Seul petit bémol, la proximité pour faire des courses. Heureusement que Guglielmo est de bon conseil... Bref, nous y retournerons certainement. Merci encore à Guglielmo pour l'accueil et la confiance.

Ho alloggiato insieme a mio marito e mio figlio a Dicembre 2015! Non c'è che dire,posti del genere sono ormai più unici che rari!!!! Alloggio spazioso, ben arredato, dotato di ogni comfort e utensileria per qualsiasi necessità, vista mozzafiato, ubicazione perfetta resa ancora più magica dal calore della stufa nelle sere d'inverno. Gentilissimi Guglielmo e Grazia che ci hanno fatto subito sentire a "casa nostra",abbiamo passato una settimana bellissima e, in futuro senza dubbio, avremo piacere a tornarci sicuramente! Ideale per chi vuole staccare la spina godendosi la più totale tranquillità, possibilità di fare camminate e, per chi come noi ha bambini, non distante un bel parco giochi pulito e curato, vicino a una trattoria ottima ed economica. Consiglio assolutamente!!!

My partner and I are staying at the House of Light with our 3 year old. When we arrived, we were only supposed to stay 1 week but we extended the stay by 10 days. The landscape is exceptionally beautiful. Perched up on a mountain top, we have a panoramic vista to the mountains on the other side of the valley, and within a short walk you can see the valleys below, expanses of meadows dotted with villages and long winding roads to the town of Nus below. The weather has been amazing; warm sunny days perfect for walking on some of the many trails nearby, and this morning, we awoke to a beautiful snow covered landscape with an expanse of blue sky as its backdrop. The house is beautiful, so cosy and warm and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We love the furnishings, the beautiful old kitchen table, the comfy couches... It really feels like a home away from home. Grazia and Guglielmo have been perfect hosts, so friendly and warm and greeting us upon arrival to explain everything. They're always contactable for great insiders advice while we are staying here... Very helpful! We absolutely adore this place and we hope to be back sometime in the future... Wish we lived closer.

A lovely apartment with a gorgeous view and a cosy, spacy interior. Fully furnished. 'Everything is there', says Guglielmo, and he's right : the kitchen or bathroom is not missing anything, there is even a washing machine and stove for cold days. There is internet as well, despite the remote location. Guglielmo is a great host and provided us with lots of valuable tips on what to do in the region. In the surroundings there are lovely walks to do (including a very beautiful one to the Oratorio di Cuney). Also do not miss out on eating ice cream from Buzzi in the village Nus in the valley. You can even visit the Astronomical Observatory of the nearby village of Saint Barthélemy - something we hope to do the next time.

Nous avons passés une semaine dans ce gite magnifiquement situé. Calme et sérénité. Promenades magnifiques. Gîte bien équipé. Vue à couper le souffle. Propriétaire charmant et serviable (conseil excellent). Une semaine de vacance réussie.

Abbiamo appena terminato un soggiorno di 5 notti e saremmo tentati dal dire che il posto è bruttissimo e la casa ancor peggio solo per far si che resti un luogo conosciuto da pochi, dove poter tornare certi che tutto resti uguale...ma non sarebbe giusto...i proprietari sono molto gentili e premurosi ma mai invadenti, la casa è una perla incastonata in un luogo tanto isolato quanto affascinante ma dal quale, senza neppure impiegarci troppo tempo, si raggiungono tutte le principali località della Valle d'aosta ..abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno di Vanessa ed il nostro 14esimo anno di fidanzamento...una sola parola: fantastico.

We stayed 10 days at the House of Light and Nature and enjoyed every minute of our time in the house, in the village of Venoz and in the Aosta valley. The house is spacious and well equipped with a stunning view on a secondary valley. The air is pure and the surroundings super clean. Hiking trails can be followed nearby the house. A small children park is located at a few minutes car distance. For excursions and supplies one needs to drive down to the town of Nus and then back up again to the house, but we did not mind doing the zigzag tour twice a day.
