Idéal pour un séjour de repos au bord du lac majeur en famille avec chien
La petite maison est très soignée et très bien équipée. L’accueil est chaleureux et discret. Nous avons eu la joie de rencontrer la famille et notre chien s'est beaucoup amusé dans le parc clos avec le chien Kiri de la maison. Malgré la fermeture de nombreux sites touristiques en cette saison,nous recommandons le vieux port d'Arona avec le restaurant Aldo et sa très bonne cuisine et service , la boulangerie Strobino avec ses chocolats chauds et autres douceurs , l'excursion à l'ile des pécheurs depuis Stresa à 16KMS, après-midi de l'autre coté du lac (Angera, Ranco) . Bref 4 jours de dépaysement reconstituant. A recommander!

Belle vue sur le Lac Majeur et maison très fonctionnelle
La maison est située non loin de celle de la propriétaire, ce qui est pratique pour avoir d'éventuels renseignements. La vue est très belle, on peut d'ailleurs apercevoir le lac depuis une des deux chambres. Elles se composent chacune d'une salle de bains privative, ce qui est fort plaisant. La pièce à vivre comprend une cuisine bien équipée, avec une table et un canapé. Une baie vitrée permet également de voir le lac. On peut d'autant mieux l'apprécier de l'extérieur, grâce à la terrasse.
Il y a cependant quelques points négatifs, comme le fait que la maison se trouve au bord d'une route départementale, les scooters et autres véhicules étant gênants le soir, tout comme l'absence de volets dans la chambre du fond.
La propriétaire nous a accueilli avec amabilité dès notre arrivée et a su nous donner tous les renseignements nécessaires.
Globalement, nous sommes très satisfaits de notre location et nous la recommanderions bien à nos proches.

Good Base to Explore Lake Maggiore with Lovely Lake Views
We stayed at Casa Blu for a week on a self-catering basis.
When we arrived, everything was very clean and tidy.
Our favourite bit of Casa Blu was the covered outside dining area with views over Lake Maggiore. We enjoyed using this outside area for eating, reading and relaxing.
The two double bedrooms each with their own bathroom were good for our group (retirees travelling with adult son). The beds were comfortable and there was adequate clothes storage. The outside window blinds were appreciated at night.
Both bathrooms were well designed with very good showers. The over the sink lighting with mirrors in both was excellent. There was also a very good washing machine in one of the bathrooms.
There was a TV in both bedrooms but sadly there was no DVD player.
Unfortunately, there was no TV in the main lounge/diner/kitchen room. We did not spend much time in the main room apart from cooking.
The kitchen part of the main room was manageable for self-caterers. There was an excellent gas hob, good crockery/pans and cutlery. There was a very good dishwasher and the fridge was good too. Although there was no oven this was not an issue for us.
We also enjoyed lovely fresh figs that the owners gave us from the tree in the garden.
There is off road parking available adjacent to the property.
Access to the southern side of Lake Maggiore is excellent. There is a station at Meina which has brilliant free parking and is close to Casa Blu. From Meina station, you can catch one of the regular trains south to Milan or north to Domodossola and on. However, Meina is unmanned (and has no ticket machine) so we bought our tickets in advance from Arona station.
We also enjoyed trips to the Borromean Islands and from Arona to Alghero.
Overall, this is a good base to explore Lake Maggiore. On any return trip to the Lake, Casa Blu would be on our list.

tranquilla con un bel panorama
i proprietari gentili, la casa confortevole con vista sul lago ,in luogo tranquillo,e abbastanza vicino ai centri piu' conosciuti.

Schöner, erholsamer Kurzurlaub mit traumhafter Aussicht"
Das Haus bietet alles was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht und hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick auf den Lago Maggiore. Dies vermisst man schon wenn man wieder zu Hause ist.
Das Haus liegt an einem kleinen Hügel in Meina, eine sehr ruhige Stadt mit ein paar kleinen Läden. Zu den Touristenstädten Arona und Stresa ist es sehr nah. Arona hat eine sehr schöne Altstadt mit Cafés und Bars und auch guten Restaurants. Stresa ist "die Stadt" am Lago Maggiore mit einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und den Borromäischen Inseln.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es auch in Lesa, das liegt 5 Autominuten von Meina entfernt. Das Geschäft an der Hauptstraße ist auch am Sonntag geöffnet.
Im Haus selber ist alles vorhanden (Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen, Föhn, Mikrowelle....) was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und wohnen auf dem gleichen Gründstück nebenan. Man ist aber trotzdem für sich und fühlt sich ungestört. Haustiere sind herzlich willkommen, aber das Grundstück ist nicht komplett eingezäunt und wird ja auch von den Vermietern genutzt. Daher muss man schon etwas aufpassen. Ansonsten war alles super und wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Un très bon séjour dans une maison fort sympathique et très bien tenue. Le coin vaut le détour, mais nous sommes heureux de l'avoir fait hors saison.

Maison très propre et bien agencée.
Belle vue sur le lac majeur et jardin agréable et pratique lorsque l'on a des animaux de compagnie.
WI FI avec un très bon débit.
Bon accueil de la maîtresse de maison.
Emplacement idéal pour rayonner au sud ouest du lac majeur.

Maison très agrable
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette maison. Rien a redire. C était parfait : accueil, propreté, taille de la maison, très bonne literie, et surtout vue magnifique sur le lac. Je la conseille.

Excellent place to stay at Lago Maggiore
We've had a very pleasant stay in La Casa Blu. The house is very proper and the owner is very kind helps you with all you need.
On the pictures it seems to be a little house, but it was much bigger as we expected.
The two spacious bathrooms with excellent showercabins were very good.
The garden is like it's shown on the pictures. Very spacious and great for playing with the kids.
You do need a car to get at the places you want. For little shopping you can walk to the village of meina, but we always went to Arona (supermarket Coop).
We only had problems with finding a good public beach. There's a beach with swimming pool in Meina, but there you pay entrance. (5€ for each person). We finally went to the beach in Baveno (Behind Hotel Splendid).
So if you doubt about this house, don't doubt anymore. Go for it !
