We stayed in this villa for ten days,5 guests,This villa needs refurbishing,it had a bad review in 2019 and nothing has been done to improve it.The pool table and barbecue are not fit for purpose.The patio table is rusting away.Only 1 of the en-suite bedrooms has a toilet,the showers are in the bedroom.The toilet door handle in the hall is broken.Not enough storage space in bedrooms.The swimming pool area is very slippery and needs more decking round it.We have photos of all damaged areas.The advert for this villa is a misrepresentation and the owner doesn’t appear to care.The house manage Sue was very helpful and apologised for the state of the place!.

The villa is located in a gated compound, well, the entrance is gated but the exit was permanently open, which is odd because it means the inconvenience of getting out of the car to enter a code to the gate but completely lacking the benefit of security. The general area is a bit rough, burnt out car on the road leading up to it etc. The villa was sold to us as a 4 bed, what was delivered is a 3 bed. 1 of them was comfortable. The pool area becomes a death trap as soon as the tiles get wet, my daughter fell and had to be brought to a doctor on the 1st day, the rest of us had near misses. On entering the master bedroom the first thing I saw was a can of cockroach spray, which was handy because the second thing I saw was a cockroach. The bed is the master is very uncomfortable and a weird leaf shape, there is also a jacuzzi in this room and a shower + was basin. No shower tray so the water goes every where, the jacuzzi had a pubic hair in it so we didn't use it. We did clean it properly.. but didn't use it. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of storage and good cooking facilities. The previous guests had left food in the presses which may explain the amount of insects that we came across. There is a pool table at the side of the villa that I was looking forward to using. Unfortunately its on such a slant that it's useless. Looks like a very shoddy repair job was done on the legs but the slant still makes it useless. Don't be fooled by the published photos, I'm sure it did look like this as some stage but not anymore, there is barely a wall that doesn't have a mark on it. It's generally worn around the edges and is by no stretch of the imagination "luxury". You will need a car if you want to stay here, make sure you book one because you are not within walking distance from anywhere you want to go, like the town, supermarket, shops etc. We moved out after 2 days because it didn't meet our requirements. The owner did agree to a refund . No refund forthcoming as yet.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Stayed at this villa 9th – 19th August 19 and to say we were disappointed is an understatement! We don’t usually write reviews, but felt the need to do so on this occasion to hopefully stop others wasting their hard earned money. We arrived in the evening at the main entrance gate which was in complete darkness. The security panel was broken, and we were unsure how to enter. We finally found that the single gate wasn’t locked, so eventually found the villa (not feeling very safe at this point). We struggled to open the outside door for around 10 minutes, which was stressful when you have three tired children waiting to get in! Initial impressions of the villa were good, and couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning. The excitement soon disappeared when all we could hear from 7am (sometimes earlier) was dogs barking from the villa behind, and close by. This is a massive problem where the villa is located, and totally spoiled any relaxing time we planned to have. We reported the issue to the owner who assured us this wasn’t normal for the area, and the police would be called if it carried on? Well the dogs carried on barking until we went to bed, and we reported the issue again which was completely dismissed by the owner as she reminded us we were in a residential area, and we should be enjoying the local “culture” WOW. Pool, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned (properly) in quite some time. Heavy scum marks around the sides, and dirt at the bottom. This was reported to the owner who sent the pool cleaner the next day. This was blamed on suncream from us due to not showering prior, but it was only the 2nd day, and was clearly a build-up of weeks/months! Anyway, he tried to resolve the issue with salts, but this didn’t work, so after a second complaint, he returned later in the week with some de-greaser, and had the hose-pipe in the pool all day washing the complete pool out. We went out for the day, and returned to find the hose-pipe had been left running all day (and that night), so we didn’t remove it presuming it was being flushed. The owner has since blamed us (on HomeAway site) for flooding the decking area with the hose pipe??! Seriously?? Other issues outside included very worn and unstable pool table (informed it was a new one prior to our stay!). Mouldy and broken sun loungers and generally worn/old furniture. Then the BBQ!! Absolutely disgusting and unusable. Small make shift bbq with old grills full of rust. Lights around pool not working. All around the pool is slippery tiles and all around the tiles are cactus = recipe for disaster! It’s not for children at all. Some of the issues in the villa were initially overlooked by ourselves as we tried to enjoy our stay, but as more and more things were found broken or unusable it became simply frustrating. Our main and biggest issue (which the owner continued to completely ignore) was the mouldy blinds in the front bedroom where our children slept. We then had more mould to our bed sheets! Owner argued ‘impossible’ but after a photo she accepted it was! Replacement sheets brought in whilst out which was thrown on our bed- opened it out on the night to find a huge tear through it and the smell of them was vile, at this point I thought surely this is some sort of joke. Having already made the owner aware of a list of things wrong and that we were unhappy about we expected better service then this. 1. They Were not changed for us and the mouldy sheets removed and 2. These weren’t checked before given to us!! Crazy!!! We were pretty fed up by this point and turned the mouldy sheets over and continued with them that night and washed them ourselves the next day. More issues included; lack of essential items such as sweeping brush, bath mat. A very mis match kitchen with chips in glasses etc. (which we have since been accused of!!)! Main toilet that is shared between guests in the other three bedrooms was awful. Patched up in so many areas (duck tape holding all the pipework together!) a horrible smell coming from it the whole time- and a broken toilet seat for us! Oh and then the Air con- Only one bedroom (the pink room) has air con that runs continuously, all of the others you have to switch on yourself every 2 hours so be prepared to be waking up rather hot and have to get up and switch them all back on again, and then mop up if they overflow into the bedroom like it did for us, all through the wardrobe and onto our clothes. Also Please don’t be fooled that this villa has 4 bedrooms, there’s 3 with some sort of store room with a curtain across being classed as a bedroom!! This certainly was far from the sort of luxury villa we was expecting. We’re not sure if the owner actually has any idea what the pool cleaner or the cleaners are doing or maybe she does and is turning a blind eye. She comes across very nice and helpful throughout UNTIL you have complaints then she shows her true colours! We felt very let down with our stay as most of our complaints/issues were disregarded and we were told ‘the type of people who make these complaints are the ones who are wanting some sort of refund- you are receiving what you paid for-enjoy.’

Booked through James Villa last August. On arrival at the complex we went through the main gate in the dark to the 5th villa as stated, Perla Amour is actually the 59th villa which is very confusing when arriving in the dark. On trying to enter the villa the lock on the door is virtually impossible to open but with a bit of perseverance we eventually gained entry. Finding the villa extremely warm we then tried to operate the free a/c which was found to be broken so we had to retire to bed feeling very uncomfortable. I had requested a rep visit and when Jenni arrived I pointed out the problem with the a/c and she said that it was broken but there were fans in every room, there was a fan in one room. She said she would contact the owner to have this issue resolved. On returning to the villa early that evening nothing had been done or no message received, I phoned Jenni who told me that the owner was on his way. He duly arrived with a portable a/c unit which to be honest was not up to the job as it was a unit with an extraction hose which had to be put through an open door or window, a/c doesn't operate properly if a door or window is open. While the owner was leaving water was running down the hall which didn't seem to bother him at all and he said his goodbyes and left promising more fans would be delivered next day. After he left we discovered the flood was coming from the jacuzzi bath so we mopped it up. Following this the shower in the other room stopped draining so we had to call Jenni once more. The owner duly arrived, which I appreciated, but became very defensive and said this hadn't happened before but he would try and get a plumber the following day. This left us, a party of nine with one operational shower/toilet. I mentioned the portable a/c unit and the fact it wasn't up to the job because of the open door issue. He suggested there wasn't any issue and we could just leave the door open when we were out, I stated this didn't sound like a very good idea only for him to assure me there hadn't been a break in before, not a chance I was willing to take. He left insisting more fans would be delivered. When the plumber arrived the following day to clear the blocked drain he stated, last time this happened it was ....., a total contradiction to the owner. The blockage was cleared satisfactorily. Jenni called to confirm the repair had been carried out and asked about the fans that had been promised if they had been delivered and I told her they hadn't so she said she would call the owner, the additional fans were eventually delivered. Other points I felt to be unsatisfactory were:- Jacuzzi Bath was only half operational because of a missing power button which I pointed out to the owner but no repair was attempted. Pool Light Cover which kept falling off. The tiles around the pool were very dangerously slippy and with a pool surrounded by very sharp cacti it was a serious health and safety issue. The Pergola was nothing like the one pictured and was very dirty with ingrained dirt on the cushions. Bar Stools, one was burst. Decorative Vase had previously been broken and had been glued together. Alarm Sensors, some were found to be missing. Coffee Table in the living area had a leg hanging off. En-suite in one room had rusty handles. This villa is classed as 'Best of James' and there is no way it lives up to this. I have stayed in other James Villas and chose this as a holiday destination to celebrate a family occasion and it fell very short of what it promised.

Nell'annuncio ci sono alcune inesattezze, la villa non dispone di 4 camere da letto, ma solo 3, la terza è una stanza che dà direttamente sul soggiorno, senza finestre, senza un bagno, con uno scorrevole. In tutta la casa per 8 persone ci sono due wc, l'annuncio dice 3 bagni. In Italia 3 bagni significa 3 wc, oltre doccia e lavabi. Entrambi senza finestre e ventilazione. Quello in camera poi senza porta!!! Mancano alcune cose basilari, come una macchina per il caffè od almeno una caffettiera!! delle coperte, abbiamo dovuto chiederle. La proprietaria si è attivata subito e le ha portate. Un asciugacapelli per 8 persone, il televisore non funzionava. La casa è gradevole e spaziosa, anche se un po' eccessiva negli arredi e nei colori. Lo spazio esterno buono. Ma il servizio scarso. In una settimana non abbiamo avuto il cambio degli asciugamani ed una pulizia. Inoltre abbiamo dovuto acquistare le cose basilari per farlo. Insomma "villa di lusso" è un'altra cosa. Ho affittato spesso case in altri Paesi, ma il servizio era ben diverso.
