We spent a fantastic week at Casa Vaddeddi; the villa is set in beautiful countryside with views to the sea on one side and over rolling almond and olive groves on the other. We loved the range of outdoor seating/ lounging/dining spaces, whether by the pool or the villa, sun or shade. The house is modern in design and fit-out and very well-maintained. The owner, Alfonso, is very quick to respond to any queries. The gorgeous town of Noto is only a few kilometres away with a great range of eating; there are plenty of local shops in Noto and a small supermarket with good butcher and deli counters. Syracusa is not to be missed but we also loved Scicli.

We have visited this property on several occasions and find it a delightful place to spend time. It is located in a quite country setting close to the sea, Vendicari nature reserve & its wonderful beaches, and the city of Noto. The house has a modern but comfortable and laid back design, and it is very well maintained and clean (a key criteria for us). The owners are exceptionally kind and helpful people. I would not hesitate to return to Villa Vaddeddi.

Wir haben zu zweit von Anfang bis Mitte Oktober zehn wunderbar erholsame und spätsommerlich warme Urlaubstage im Südosten Siziliens verbracht und hatten das Glück, in der Casa Vaddeddi unsere Unterkunft zu haben. Das Haus liegt - mit dem PKW gut erreichbar - auf einem riesigen, schönen, mit Mandel- und Olivenbäumen bestandenen Grundstück, ausgesprochen ruhig, aber nicht - wie leicht befürchtet - einsam, mehre Nachbarhäuser liegen verstreut in der Umgebung. Das Haus ist sauber, zweckmässig und gut ausgestattet, das Schlafzimmer zwar klein, aber mit einem guten Bett ausgestattet. Verschiedene Terrassen, ein grosser, luftiger Balkon ( Blick auf das vielleicht drei Kilometer entfernte Mittelmeer ) und mehrere Sitzecken bieten für jede Tageszeit einen Platz zum Essen oder Ausspannen unter freiem Himmel. Mit dem Fahrrad oder PKW sind die schönen Naturstrände im Naturschutzgebiet Vendicari schnell zu erreichen. Die Vermieter kümmern sich per email, telefonisch und - wenn vor Ort auch persönlich - sehr zuverlässig, freundlich, schnell und unaufdringlich. Tip: Unbedingt Mückenschutz mitnehmen - oder im ca. 6 km entfernten Supermarkt kaufen.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at casa Vaddeddi. We really can't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful location, if a little tricky to find in the dark due to the ever changing local road systems. Spacious, clean, stylish (if a little sparse) with a really comfortable bed and great air con. The self catering facilities were good although there wasn't a kettle. However the cooker boiled a pan of water really quickly so we weren't too put out. Loads of deckchairs and other poolside furniture and so private - we really only saw a passing shepherd with his flock a couple of times; no one else! It was only a short drive to the supermarket, so the seclusion wasn't a problem. A few minutes more up the road found us a Lidl which was a lot cheaper if not so authentic! Excellent WiFi! We didn't rent the bikes, although they would be perfect for the short run down to the sea. Pretty much flat all the way and virtually no traffic. Not sure we would have used them for anything else as the Sicilian roads are a bit scary for us north Europeans!!!! Perfect location for checking out Inspector Montalbano locations and while Noto is spectacular, we thought that Syracuse (Ortyggia) was the highlight. Our recommendations to the owners would only be to get a kettle and maybe some small bedside tables.

stayed for a few nights with my wife and mother, we really enjoyed our time here , lovely peaceful location great views, well appointed property with plenty of outside areas to relax with a book . nice private pool to cool down in , air con and wifi both appreciated additions. you can be out of bed and in the sea in 15 minutes in the morning a great way to start the day. local sandy beaches are gorgeous and if up early (8ish) you find them almost empty. Pretty sure one of them was a nudist beach but we will let you find out which one for yourselves! there is a local supermarket 10 mins drive on main road into Noto, good butchers in store.

We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed it very much. The hosts were very kind and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. The Vila is in a quiet rural location with lovely fruit and nut trees everywhere. It is a very modern building with all you could need and has lovely outdoor eating areas. The view out to sea from the terrace is wonderful. There is lots of space for families and a great pool to cool off in. You need a car to see all the wonderful attractions nearby like Noto, Siracusa and beaches at Vendacari reserve. We would happily go back to Casa Vaddeddi next time in Sicily.

We rented the house early April and found it a marvelous place to spend a relaxing week. It is located on the country side between the lemon and almond trees, but with a view on the see from the balcony. So it is a very quiet place with hardly any disturbance of cars or other people. A supermarket is only 10 minutes away (close to Noto) and you can easily visit all of southern Sicily from here. The house is very modern and well equipped, perfect for the four of us, as our teenagers could use the upstairs bedroom. We enjoyed the different spots to sit in the garden around the house (as the weather was a mix of hot sun and a sometimes chilly wind). The pool was already open, but the water was still too cold to use it. The heating system (which is also the airco) was very useful for the cold evenings. There are 2 good mountain bikes available. The only complaint our teenagers had was that the speed of the Internet is not always very good, but isn’t that what is holiday is about ? ;-).

Wunderbar ruhig gelegen, schönes Haus mit klarer Architektur. Wir waren im Hochsommer dort, der ganz nah gelegene Naturpark Vendicari muss aber auch im Winter wunderschön sein. Sehr sympathische und verlässliche Vermieter. Wir kommen bestimmt einmal wieder.

We have rented the house for 14 days and enjoyed our stay a lot. The key memories are the sun dawns on the hills of Sicily, watching falling stars while we were swimming in the pool, the sheep silently moving across the neighbor fields in the evening and the upper terries with the view to the sea. The reception was very warm and friendly. The best supermarkets we can recommend are in Avola. Also try the Kukua Beach in Fontane Bianche and swimming in the Cavagrande! A must have!

The house is in a very private location, with fantastic views of the sea from the balcony (moonrise over the sea one evening) and sunset over olive trees and distant hills from the terrace. The house is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in - looks good, with a clever minimalist design that works well for a couple, and would be fine for a family of four once the kids are old enough to enjoy the steep staircase. The pool provides an additional sitting area and a way of cooling off with a long thin shape that means you can swim properly in it. You can drive into Noto in ten minutes, with a supermarket and petrol station on the left as you drive in, and some impressive baroque architecture. The Vendicari nature reserve gives access to a beautiful coastline - a great bay (deserted when we arrived), and an abandoned tuna fish processing factory that looks like a ruined temple! The Cassible river north of Noto has a fantastic limestone gorge you can walk down into (or just look at) from a car park reached from a side road north of Avola Antica. The only downside is that the area has a large population of flying biting insects that were particularly active in late afternoon and early evening. Our solution was to use plenty of insect repellant and spend the evening on the balcony (most of them didn’t seem to fly that high). A good place to stay despite the bites!
