We stayed 1 week at the Trulli and it was great: the pool, the house - everything is beautiful designed and perfect for a relaxing stay.

un luogo d'incanto
I Trulli dei Carrubi sorgono a pochi km da Cisternino con uno sguardo sulla vallata che mozza il fiato : l'occhio si perde tra ulivi e piccoli Trulli in lontananza. In un piano terrazzato a cui si accede grazie a pochi gradini una spettacolare piscina ,grande e pulitissima , contornata da una vegetazione curata e disposta con gusto. In ogni angolo si può godere di tranquillità e privacy .
i Trulli sono stati restaurati dai proprietari con grande cura dei particolari rispettando la tradizione e arricchendola di comodità moderne (aria condizionata e riscaldamento, televisione ,Wi-Fi, zanzariere ecc.)che non disturbano l'incanto degl'interni, molto ampi e ben organizzati ,;gli arredamenti delle stanze mantengono la linea pulita e allo stesso tempo rustica del luogo. Cucina fornita di ogni necessitá e per di più una griglia per l'esterno . I contatti con il proprietario sono stati facili e molto cordiali , l'accoglienza perfetta e ogni necessità nel luogo ha trovato una risposta premurosa. Abbiamo passato una settimana di sogno godendo della quiete della proprietá ma anche esplorando i dintorni Cisternino ,Locorotondo, Alberobello, sono paesi vicini di grande fascino e offrono ristoranti , boutiques, e "movida" serale con concerti e mostre d'arte.
Purtroppo la nostra permanenza , una settimana, non ci ha permesso di visitare tanti altri luoghi poco distanti dai Trulli ma ci rifaremo senz'altro in futuro.

A joyous revelation
We had the most wonderful time staying at this trullo: it has a simple and deliciously cool interior, which is equipped for comfort (and wi-fi) and is beautifully clean. The blockbuster feature has to be the spectacular private swimming pool, which is set against a lush rural backdrop. The pool is flanked by shady verandas, which are ideal for relaxing and al fresco dining. It's the perfect place to stay if you are thinking about exploring Puglia as a couple or with a small and young family. Conveniently close to Cisternino, shops, and various wonderful eateries (Taverna de la Torre and Sant' Anna), it is also a comfortable car ride away from Alberobello, Ceglie Messapica, Locarotondo, Ostuni, Martina Franca and many more. It's also possible to take days trips to Matera and Lecce from here (recommended). If you love food, great architecture, and are not too keen on crowded touristy places, seriously consider coming here. We're already thinking of coming back.

A glorious haven
An amazing experience at this beautiful trulli. The accommodation is perfect and the grounds and pool are quite spectacular. You do need a car but it is located very close to Cisternino, the lovely local town. There is so much to see and do in the Puglia region. Stefano, the owner of the trulli was a great source of information with some superb restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend a visit.

why travel far, paradise is just around the corner
the Trulli dei Carrubi truly are one piece of paradise. not only the relaxing location in the mid of olive trees but also the lots of things to see and do in the area are worth a visit. not to mention the delicious wine and food you will find there (why mention, it's what we expect in Italy, right?)
and in case you don't feel like driving around the pool will provide enough entertainment possibilities for the little ones and the ones that never grow up. And WLAN worked perfectly so none of us suffered from isolation.
there is one supermarket is just around the corner, another a little farther, but also cisternino village is close by. A lovely little town where you will be able to observe la dolce vita. Go get the morning coffee with a cornetto marmelata/cioccolata or plane one in one of the little caffeterias and you will feel like a local immediately.
for a perfect lunch I recommend: fresh tomatoes (you can literally taste the sun), they have to come with mozzarella (get burrata!) and prosciutto of course. fresh fruits for a desert, of course.
In case you fancy sweets you need to go to Caranna where you'll find the best Tiramisu ever! Seriously! I cannot recall the restaurant's name but the owners will for sure be able to tell you.
For day trips I can recommend a day at the beach. The nearest is in Torre Canne.
For buying souvenirs we went to Ostuni; the old town is super sweet and there are lots of nice restaurants.
As well visit Polignano a Mare! Stunning, not much more I can add here.
Close by at the train station there is a super good restaurant; some guests were walking there according to the notes in the guestbook but I rather preferred going there by car - make sure you appoint a driver beforehand, they really have good wine there.
last but not least one tip for ending the perfect day: cool some beer, prosecco or whatever you like and enjoy the piece and quiet under the pergola by the pool or the one in front of the house. this occurred to evolve to our daily routine, no matter how exhausting the touristic program of the day was.
For me Trulli dei Carrubi are the perfect getaway; easy to reach from all over Europe (our group was really international), lots of things to do and see for everyone and the best food&wine in the world!

Einfach mal abschalten
Wer einfach mal abschalten möchte und den Alltag hinter sich lassen, der ist hier genau richtig.
Das Trullo liegt am Rande eines kleinen Olivenhains unweit von Cisternino. Was einem sofort bei Ankunft auffällt ist die Ruhe und die herrlich natürliche Umgebung.
Das grosszügig angelegte Trullo selber ist sehr modern ausgestattet und vollständig eingerichtet. Die einzelnen Zimmer sind liebevoll gestaltet, 4 Personen finden hier genügend Platz. Auf der grossen Terrasse direkt vor dem Haus kann man unter der grossen Pergola gut draussen frühstücken oder am Abend ein gutes Glas Wein geniessen. Definitiv ein Highlight ist der zum Trullo gehörende Pool. Man fühlt sich hier sofort wohl und gut aufgehoben.
Ein Supermarkt ist in der Nähe, wo man alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs bekommt.
In der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es kleine und grosse Städte, die zum entdecken einladen. Auch wer gute italienische Küche mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel findet man sehr gute Restaurants.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr empfehlenswert, auch für Familien geeignet. Man kommt immer gerne wieder - dies war schon der zweite, aber bestimmt nicht der letzte Aufenthalt

Relaxing experience in trulli
We spent a great week in trulli dei carrubi into the nature. The villa was clean and charming with an amazing pool.
Cisternino is a beautiful town full of pictoresque restaurants and views.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY IN PUGLIA
I spent one week in TRULLI DEI CARRUBI with my husband during August. The trullo villa is set in a breathtaking location at Cisternino countryside (Valle d'Itria). the most amazing thing of the villa is the PRIVATE POOL surrounded by olive trees and a colorful garden.
Felt safe and relaxed to stay here which is the most important thing for me to pick accommodations. Highly recommended.

Magnificent Pool and Terraces!
We booked this villa through Pure Puglia, it was our second trulli we stayed at for our 3 week stay in this beautiful area of Italy. Pure Puglia are excellent as many trulli's and villas are in the country and can be tricky to find, but they will meet you at a convenient nearby location and lead you to your accommodation. They kindly left a bottle of red wine, small bottle of local olive oil and italian aperitif nibbles.
The trulli has had the outside area stunningly renovated and landscaped. The pool and pool terrace area is better than some hotels. The pool was an average 26C and huge, also had roman steps at shallow end of 1m and nearly 2m at the deep end. There was a lovely breeze which came over the terrace, the view across the valley beyond was fabulous especially from the upper terrace where a dining table was located. The swallows loved ducking down to drink the water and flap their wings into the pool whilst still flying. Butterflies were also abundant. The pool looks over a field of olive trees. Located directly under the upper terrace is a garage (great for keeping the car cool) and we found blow up pool toys and we left a number too. At the back of tiled floor garage there is a small shower room with toilet which saves you (& kids) dripping into the trulli.
The trulli itself is small and 2 bedroomed / 1 shower room. It has a through dining/lounge area with open fireplace and a long narrow kitchen with utility room beyond with laundry facililites (though ironing board is a small table top affair). There are no plastic large glasses for use of juices by the pool. There were some very large wine glasses but we bought some stocky smaller ones which were not so delicate and could easily fit in the dishwasher. Lots of Denby style plates and bowls to use and we were worried of dropping them on the trulli stone floor - we didn't thankfully - these are stored in the sideboard and not in the kitchen. Found the salad bowl in a cupboard towards the end of our week here so need to have a good hunt round. We always take sharp knives on rental holidays too.
One disappointment was the lack of basics - we have stayed in a large number of rentals over the years and always find simple basics like salt & pepper, liquid soap, washing up liquid etc. Here there was unfortunately nothing. We bought and left ground salt and pepper, WU liquid, hand soap for shower room and kitchen, 3 litre laundry liquid etc.
There is a simple charcoal bbq in the garage which we brought up and located it for the week on the upper terrace, there was also a large gas bbq in the garage but had no cylinder and assumed it was there for the use of the owner.
Because the pool and terrace area was so fabulous we slowed right down here and didn't venture too far, night or day. Cisternino - pronounced Chisternino - is a beautiful town, easy to find your way around quickly, lots of good restuarants and bars and local shops. Market day is exciting. Go out early as everything shuts down from 1pm till around 5.30pm for lunch then siesta. Evening is the best time of day for strolling around town and everyone is out and about.
We sunbathed till 7pm-7.30pm as the sun sets on the pool, but beware as mozzies start to come alive from c6.30pm.
There is WiFi which would at first seem very simple to set up, I went through all the steps but at the u/name and p/w stage it just kept going round in a loop stating that u/name or p/w was incorrect or expired - even though the company had just txt it to me. We did try to ring a company on the home page to no avail.
