The house was great and our host arranged a night walk, ziplining and coffee tours for us. Wish we had booked another day.

First of all, the place is immaculate. The kitchen is well equipped, and you have absolutely everything you need. There is a reason everyone raves about her “welcome package” of banana bread and fresh juice....it’s the best we’ve ever had. Best of all, Sarah and Danny are the dynamic duo...they are the epitome of hospitality. Danny, one of the best naturalists/guides in CR, took my husband on the night hike—you see all kinds of dangerous beasties. They are so interested in the wellbeing of their guests, you want the best for them as well and hope for their success. We are sad we have to leave! Do yourself a favor and make the trip!

Initial location was a bit of a challenge because of our lack of knowledge of the ways to use GPS in CostaRica (predominantly using landmarks), but when we arrived, we were greeted by Sarah - the most helpful host to date. Fresh juice and cake when we arrived, excellent knowledge and connections - got us an awesome guide at MonteVerde Cloud Forest (his name is Olman). Great location - close to soda, grocery store, had a deck of cards and scrabble for us to play after it got dark (at 530 pm). Make a note that she takes cash only - we had to go to an ATM which was closeby. In short, lovely rooms and decor, very good location - superlative customer service.

Ottima accoglienza, appartamento pulito e con tutto il necessario per un soggiorno piacevole. Siamo stati benissimo; se siete alla ricerca di un posto per visitare Monteverde e dintorni non cercate oltre!

Located on a quiet street yet within walking distance of restaurants, shops and activities. We were so comfortable and happy in this home for me, my husband and three children in their twenties. We slept well, made meals together, played board games and enjoyed just hanging out when we weren't out zip lining, hiking, swimming etc. in beautiful Monteverde and the surrounding area. Sarah is a perfect host making herself available for activity suggestions plus helping us with reservations. She and her husband are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Super ! nous avons loué une des casitas. Tout y était très propre, beau et de qualité et bien équipé. Les maisons/appartements sont très bien situés entre Monteverde et Santa Elena. Nous pouvions voir et entendre les singes hurleurs de là. Le plus de l'endroit sont les propriétaires qui nous ont pris en charge du début à la fin. Sarah s'est assurée que l'on trouve le chemin et les accommodements AVANT d'arriver en faisant le suivi avec Nous. Un gâteau nous attendait même à notre arrivée. Son mari Danilo Brenes, qui est Guide naturaliste à Monteverde a été une mine d'informations pour quoi faire et avec qui dans les alentours. Nous avons fait un tour de nuit avec lui et nous avons adoré l'expérience ; nos enfants aussi. Nous avons manqué de temps pour faire le tour de jour qu'il propose à la réserve de Curi Cancha, mais l'avoir eu, nous l'aurions aussi fait avec Danilo plutôt qu'un gros tour organisé. Ce fut notre temps fort de notre voyage !

Danielo the owner was not only a gracious host but a sensational guide...took us on a night hike and canopy walk and found the most amazing things/animals...he is a treasure! The casitas were very nice...v comfortable beds, close to everything...could walk everywhere yet enough away to enjoy the solitude of this beautiful part of Costa Rica

We had a very nice stay here at Saritas Family Home. The hosts were very helpful to make sure we saw the best of Monteverde during our short stay. 4 of us had lots of room in the spacious house! It was nice to have a full kitchen to use as well! Clean, convienent location, friendly family.

This is a great place to stay for a few nights while seeing the Monteverde Cloud Forest area. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space...and amazing value! There are good restaurants & a small supermarket a short walk away. ...the highlight, however, was the owners who know the area very well & took excellent care of us
