Splendido
La località è una classica di vacanze con tutti i servizi necessari. Ma quello che è stato splendido è la casa House up on the beach 1: è come vivere in spiaggia, il giardino della casa è a 3 metri dal mare! Puoi stare tranquillo sulle sdraio nel tuo giardino poi apri il cancello e ti butti in acqua dopo solo tre metri! Ti alzi il mattino e praticamente fai colazione in spiaggia, lo stesso è per il resto della giornata! hai poi uno spazio dove fare una grigliata e mangiare praticamente in spiaggia! Insomma è il massimo che si possa desiderare!

Perfect location but lack of communication
We had a week here. I had sent messages to the hosts for address, location, phone number and had no response. This was 2 weeks before arrival as we were coming from Italy. We had a late flight arrival which they had acknowledged originally was fine. When we got lost driving, using the written directions sent, we ended up tired and upset with another very kind hotelier who helped us. I managed to locate the call owner button from the tripadvisor app,battery on very low by now. Melania answered and said she had gone to bed and wasn’t coming. Luckily the hotelier spoke to her in Greek and told her to get someone out to collect us. They did. Not a good start. This continued. I asked her why she hadn’t called us to see if we were OK as other rentals have. She had my number. She couldn’t reply.
The apartment was clean but everything was tired, looked like stuff from a car boot sale. No soap, tea towel, coffee pot, sponge, cork screw, wine glasses, the crockery and utensils were at a complete minimum, including no salt or pepper. Mostly made from plastic. The fridge is tiny and there is an oven hob combined. We had to ask for various things like the key to the laundry room. There was also no written instructions about how things work. Also no written numbers for emergencies etc. Also no maps. There was a complete lack of communication and I felt the hosts are unprofessional in their approach.
The location however is lovely. Once you get used to the glamping. You needed to turn the boiler on and off and not put loo roll down the loo. The air conditioning worked.
We were lucky that the other apartment had been taken by a lovely London family. It could be problematic if you are sharing the space with others who have different ideas of holiday. It’s pot luck I suppose. You take your chance for the location.

Sehr schöne kleine Fewo direkt am Strand
Wir waren vom 10.06. bis zum 18.06.2018 im house up on the beach in Malia.Ein wirklich traumhafter ruhiger Ort um seine Ferien zu verbringen.Das kleine Haus liegt direkt am Strand so das man seinen Morgenkaffee mit den Füssen im Meer baumelnd genießen konnte. Einfach herrlich. Michalis der Besitzer hat uns vom Flughafen abgeholt und dafür gesorgt das wir auch zum Rückflug pünktlich wieder dort waren, Ein perfekter Urlaub.

Superb location
Lovely to have the beach on your doorstep, without the crowds. Amenities of Malia 10-15 minutes walk away if you required them. Some lovely restaurants within easy walking distance too.
Self catering not as easy as could be as limited equipment and space. Barbeque outside though was used more than once.
Any problems that we encountered were dealt with very quickly and efficiently by Michalis.

Terasse les pieds dans l'eau
Proche de l'agitation touristique mais au calme, sur une petite crique isolée à quelques mètres de l'eau. Une bien agréable place. Terrasse partagée entre 2 appartements.
Propriétaire à l'écoute et disponible.

A really good venue
Lovely place next to the beach ,family friendly great for kids .
We were looked after very well by Michalis nothing to much trouble and available all the time.The apartment No 1 has a lovely view of the sea,amenities were good but basic,everything was spotless.
We would return no problem.

La location a repondu a toutes nos attentes accueil sympa de michalis et où nous avons passé un superbe séjour si nous retournons dans ce secteur elle l sera notre priorité

"A Truly Enjoyable Holiday"
This was our first experience for my wife and I of a villa like this with self catering so we have nothing similar to compare it with but we were not disappointed. The view of the sea outside the back door was just as the photo depicts and we spent hours just relaxing in the comfortable beach directly outside. We were prepared with suitable footwear for the rocks but having a kingfisher diving into the shallows within metres of us was a first! We took some great photos of our holiday.
The villa was clean and Michalis treated us like family taking good care of us - bringing sheets, towels, etc, etc... thank you Michalis! Our meals out on the patio were really memorable for us as it was such a relaxing view and experience.
We intended to hire a car but went up to a near mountain village, (costing 20 euros each way by taxi), and had a lovely meal in the square. The town of Stalios nearby had a café called sweet world with a really friendly staff. Also an excellent bakers next to the taxi stand in Malia had a wonderful selection of 'goodies' too. Next time we would have to hire a car to go a bit further but it was hot for 10 days in early Sept. and we just needed a good rest.
The supermarket in town was much better value than the one nearby but found it a hot walk to there around the mid-day times. Food is dearer than England so be prepared. Cooking at the villa was not a problem but a kettle would have saved us time. No real grumbles, though - it gets the good ratings it deserves and we would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone...

Lovely place in great location.
Lovely location right next to the sea. Very relaxing. Large patio area with barbq was excellent. Far enough out of Malia to be quiet and calm but easy walk in for tavernas and bars. Mechalis was perfect host. Both accomodating and helpfull. Made himself available if needed.

Family holiday
This was our second stay here and can't recommend it enough. The house is basic but has everything you need and the setting is fantastic.
You have a large outside area with bbq, sun loungers and tables and chairs. The best thing though is you have your own gate taking you on to a lovely little beach. The beach is great for kids as the water is very shallow and they can play safely.
We love it here and had an amazing holiday. Michalis is a great host and always on hand to help. The only thing I would suggest though would be to maybe leave a bottle of water in the fridge for guests arriving. We didn't get there till two in the morning then had to walk to shops for this. I have been to accommodation like this before where they leave a few essentials which would be a nice touch.
