There was a mess up with our booking so we had to go in one apartment and then move to another three nights later. These things happen - no big deal. At least Paola was able to accommodate us. The first apartment was fantastic, I think it must have been a lot then we paid. The second apartment was fine. Not as good as the first, but adequate. The pool was fantastic. It is close to a couple of beaches. The main town is only ten minutes away. In the second apartment there was only air con the main bed room. The other down side was that the apartment overlook Tyrrhenian Beach Village and they play music at night and many nights it was very very loud. Once in the apartments with the windows and doors shut you couldn't hear it. But sat outside you certainly could.

Wir waren für 12 Tage in Alcamo Marina. Der Empfang war vorbereitet und unser Domizil war sehr sauber und schön gelegen. Die Vermieterin kam 4 Tage später und bescherte uns einen wundervollen Abend mit typischen Speisen der Region. FANTASTISCH!! Immer wieder wurden wir mit kleinen regionalen Spezialitäten versorgt. Auch eine Betreuung für Ausflüge konnte Paola anbieten. Der Pool war super gelegen und sehr sauber. Schade war, dass wir einen Schrank in der Küche garnicht fanden, da er unter der Ablage angebracht war. So war die Ausstattung der Küche etwas gering.

Dopo circa 7 anni siamo ritornati con tutta la famiglia in questo posto meraviglioso.Il Residence, in questi anni è cambiato molto strutturalmente con il rinnovo di tutti gli appartamenti, ma soprattutto la creazione della piscina (spettacolare), angolo lavanderia, docce esterne, zona Barbecue, ma la cosa che non è cambiata è sempre la gentilezza, la cortesia, la disponibilità della Sig.ra Paola che ci ha sempre dimostrato, deliziando grandi e piccini con organizzazione di feste...grigliate e senza dimenticare gli assaggi di dolci fatti in casa e prodotti tipici della sua campagna. Staying at the Sabbie D'Oro Residence during our tour in Sicily provided us with a warm and authentic experience of Sicilian hospitality and culture. The apartments were spacious and well furnished and the hospitality and meals that were provided are excellent. Location a couple of minutes away from Castellamare was very convenient.

Fantastisk värd, Paola fick oss att känna oss som om vi tillhörde familjen. Underbar utsikt mot havet från vår uteplats. Lägenheten hade det man kan förvänta sig av ett semesterboende. Trevligt med brödbilen som kom varje morgon med färskt nybakt bröd. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta boende och jag kommer gärna tillbaks igen. Tack Camillo och Paula för eran generositet och gästvänlighet!

We traveled to Castellammare del Golfo for a family wedding. Our group included 2 other family members and their small children, totaling 7 little cousins aged 2-7 years. This property is a lovely yellow stucco building perched halfway up a hill overlooking the ocean. There is a private parking area for cars just behind and above it. Each family had their own apartment, but we were all next to each other. The entire building was surrounded by lush planting, and a walled courtyard (outdoor shower!) that provided the children a safe environment, allowed sweeping views of the ocean as well as a feeling of privacy. In the morning, we could walk to the beach, or, alternately, drive to one of the other beaches in the immediate area. There was usually a lovely breeze, and when we chose to cook, we always ate outdoors. Although we lived as a large group, each apartment has its own porch, and area for table and chairs outside. We could hang towels and bathing suits on clothes lines discreetly placed, and there is even a washing machine available for a very small fee based on the honor system. Although the property is technically in Marina Alcamo, the city of Castellammare del Golfo is only a 5 minute drive right along the water. It was very easy to navigate to and from the autostrada, or to other towns. All in all, this was a warm and welcoming place with a lovely host who lives in one of the apartments, and who is always accommodating to her guests' needs.

Unforgettable days... a huge flat with an amazing balcony and a wonderful sea view...I still wake up thinking about all that calm and gorgeous light blue in front of me, like during my holiday at Residence Sabbie Doro. Miss Paula and her family are really kind and willing...they gave us useful informations about places to visit and where to eat. We have booked the ship to reach riserva dello Zingaro e San Vito Lo Capo where the best beaches are situated. They have also organized a big party with american relatives and other guests of the residence, the day before our departure. I really suggest this place to all those who love the sea and the good company. Sono stati giorni indimenticabili, enorme appartamento con terrazza vista mare... la mattina mi sveglio ancora pensando di avere tutto quell'azzurro calmo e seducente davanti ai miei occhi come nella settimana al Residence Sabbie Doro. L'ospitalità e la simpatia di Paola e dei suoi figli, che gestiscono gli alloggi e i rapporti con i turisti, è disarmante; io e i miei 2 amici abbiamo ricevuto informazioni utilissime sui posti da visitare, dove mangiare, come prenotare la barca che porta alle vicinissime e meravigliose spiaggie e calette della riserva dello Zingaro e San Vito Lo Capo. A sorpresa anche una grande festa con parenti americani e altri ragazzi ospiti al Residence la notte prima della partenza. Consiglio questo posto agli amanti del mare e della bella compagnia!

The house was really nice and clean. It is just in front of the sea (400mt on foot)and you can always enjoy a gentle breeze. The owners are very kind and hospitable so you feel like you are part of a big family! Castellammare is a great place to stay for your holidays. You can find a lot of nice restaurants, bars and shops and the sea is absolutely amazing!You can easily reach a lot of beautiful places like San Vito lo Capo, Scopello, Riserva dello Zingaro, Segesta and also Palermo, Monreale, Favignana and Marettimo.
