Daniela’s ohana is perfect for one or two people. It is well equipped and very private. Very close to Waimea town and 15 min. to beaches.

3 reasons to stay in Waimea: 1. The two nicest beaches in the state are a short drive away. 2. A small town away from the resort/condo sprawl/touristy feel of other areas of the island/state. 3. The proximity to many scenic drives and outdoor activities. 3 reasons to stay at the Green Mango: 1. The nicest host you will ever meet. 2. A nice neighborhood with a very quiet place to rest and relax. 3. A backyard/patio/grill that makes a quiet dinner at home easy and relaxing. Comments about the area: The wind can blow occasionally. While the Green Mango is on the dry side of the island, it can be cloudy and cool. The simple solution is to drive down to Hapuna Beach State Park or other beaches in that area and enjoy. Our stay in January was our second at the Green Mango. We love the area and feel at home. Abbiamo prenotato tre giorni prima del nostro arrivo e Daniela è stata da subito efficiente. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato un appartamento al di sopra delle nostre aspettative e molto curato nei dettagli! C’era un piccolo regalino e il frigo pieno per le nostre colazioni! Daniela abita con suo marito nella parte superiore della casa, si è dimostrata disponibile per ogni nostro bisogno, partendo dal consigliarci cosa vedere a Big Island, fino ad organizzarci un pranzo coi fiocchi il giorno della nostra partenza, ma non è mai stata in alcun modo invadente. Ci siamo sentiti letteralmente a casa perché Daniela mette tutta se stessa in quello che fa! Inoltre la posizione è molto comoda, a una ventina di minuti dalle bellissime spiagge della costa ovest, in un quartiere molto tranquillo. Consigliamo questa sistemazione a chiunque volesse godersi a pieno quest’isola.

My husband and I had another great stay at Green Mango Ohana. Daniela is a wonderful and friendly host. Although this is simply an apartment rental and not a B&B, Daniela stocks it with lots of food and drink, such as bread, sandwich materials, butter, eggs, milk, yogurt, juice, soda, fruit, cookies, snacks and more. She even gave us her homemade mango ice cream which was delicious. The apartment, with its deck and garden, is a very comfortable place to hang out and central to lots of great activities. Thank you Daniela!

Our stay was perfect for us. Daniela was so kind and thoughtful. The fridge was stocked with local foods and great Hawai'i treats when we arrived and food kept coming, including a lovely meal with Dany and her husband. The space was just the right size and we enjoyed the beautiful lani and garden. We enjoyed the many walking trips and daily adventures that Dani described for us - she even came along as a guide. Nothing was left out-for example we even had Tommy Beach chairs and were told about lovely beaches where we could find secluded spots to read in the sun. The Green Mango contained a fully stocked library that we enjoyed, and in the evenings we had access to Netflix. Free Wifi was included along with a space to park our rental car. Everything was simply lovely and we felt like family. I would rate this a must-experience to believe!

We arrived to the Green Mango Ohana in Waimea to a fridge stocked with food, smiles and warm welcomes. The hospitality continued throughout. We learned of hiking trails, beaches, and anything we could possibly need or ask for was at our disposal from Tommy beach chairs to a fully stocked library and Netflicks for the evening hours when the sun went down over the beautiful ocean. What a place! We will have a home cooked meal with our hosts before we leave of authentic Italian cuisine. I never imagined anything like this and at such a reasonable rate. Until you have experienced Dani and Brad's warmth and happiness you have not really been to Hawai'i.

Daniela is a wonderful host and the place worked great for my wife and 11 month old daughter. Daniela had the mini-fridge stocked with some snacks and breakfast items, she dropped in with snacks from time to time, made us a meal, and even bought a pack 'n play for my daughter to sleep in. The beach gear available (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler, bag, boogie boards, bucket) made our beach visits easy. By the way, Beach 69, Hapuna beach, and the Mauna Kea beach aren't far from here and they are great (Beach 69 is great for a combo of shade and *great* snorkeling). Waimea is about 10 degrees cooler than the west coast, which is really nice. It's a little drippy in Waimea, but you aren't going to be spending your time touring Waimea anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem (it wasn't for us - always dry 15-20 minutes away at the beach!).

Our stay at Dani's loft was just perfect. The location was ideal very close to the FoodLand supermarket and just a 15'-20' drive from all the best spots of the North side of the island (beach 69, Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach, Waipi'o Valley...), she had everything we needed and we really felt like in a 5-star rental. The apartment is nicely furnished with plenty of space for the 3 of us (couple + a baby) with a very nice patio and access to the garden (BBQ available), the parking spot was icing on the cake. She had a fully equipped kitchen and left Italian treats, we had all the beach equipments we needed (sunshades and beach chairs from Tommy Bahama, 2 boogies boards and several coolers). She even provided us with Baby Shower Gel! She was always available and very friendly making sure you enjoy your stay, she is definitely one of the best host we ever had! Thanks Dani!

This is a lovely and spacious accommodation, the entire ground floor of a house. It includes a beautiful backyard with lots of flowers and plants and of course the humongous mango tree. It's central to everything there is to do in the northern Big Island. The owners, Daniela and Brad, are delightful and friendly people. We enjoyed 6 days of relaxation and short day trips, exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely return for another visit in the next couple of years.
