I've stayed at the 7 Island Surf House 3 times in the past 12 months and I absolutely love it there. The house is big, clean and modern and is a real home from home. It has Wifi, a flat screen TV and lots of DVD's (both surf and non surf related). The kitchen has everything you need to cater for yourself but there are also takeaways and a restaurant close by if you want to eat out. The garden is perfect to chill out in and catch some rays or practice your balance on the indo boards provided.
Tom and Sara are a great couple and their boys, Matthew and Nick, are lovely too. As a family they are very welcoming and they live close by so they are on hand should you need anything. I actually injured myself whilst I was out in Fuerte and they were great. They took me to the hospital and Sara stayed with me for moral support and to translate.
The other guests in the house are generally great and there is always someone to have a chat too or head out to the local bar or restaurant with. Most guests are surfing with 7 island too so there is a real camaraderie amongst the group as your holiday progresses. There are those who are already intermediate or advanced surfers that also stay at the house but do their own thing with surfing.
Ideally its good to have a car if you want to go in and out of town frequently, however, La Capellania is served by the local bus and taxis are not expensive so having a car is not essential.
All in all, I completely recommend staying at the house. In fact, I'm flying out for another stay in a few days time:)
