As we arrived at the appartment, nobody was there. Okay, no problem, we wrote the owner a few days before, at which time we will arrive at the appartment, so first we thougt, the owner will be late maybe. With our luggage we were sitting in front of the house. But after 2 hours of waiting we were a bit worried! The phone-number they gave as was not working, we had no family name of the owner, so we did not know were to ring, I also sent an e-mail...so time went by and we were really worried, because we stayed in Torre Annunziata, booked and payed and nobody was there...after a long journey from Germany and with our son, it was not nice...
Howewer, as I speak a little italien, I spoke to the people on the street. if they know something about the appartment. First they did not know, but then they asked other people, calling with the phone other people. Thank god for this very helpful and friendly people and thank god, that I speak a litte italian, because nobody was speaking English. Howewer, after another hour, the people spoke to the owner of the appartment and we could finally get into the appartment. It was really a big shock...they just forgot to send one mail, or something...
A few words to the appartment: It was big enough, but in the second bedroom there was no space for the clothes, the small lockers were full of things and laundry from the owner. The furniture is old, that is no problem, but it really needs some more cleaning. For example in the master bedroom, there was one small dresser for socks or underwear to put in, don't use it, it was full of dust...
We left the appartment in the same condition, that we found it at the arrivel! We cleaned it, we wiped it, used the vacuum for the carpet and so on...but we did not cleanded the dirt, that was there before! For example the dust, the toilet or the spots on the carpet!
Howewer, our trip was not horrible, we spent a lot of tome travelling around with public transport and have seen many beautiful places, Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii, Napoli...you can get everywere, after walking about 15 minutes to the train station. The beach in Torre is not so beautiful, but it is okay for swimming.
Torre Annunziata is a small town and it is not a touristic place at all. It is not really beautiful, but here you can see and feel the real italian life and really, the people there are very friendly and helpful. Campania is a place for holiday, that is very beautiful, but in the next time I will stay at another place and pay some more money.
What a pity...
