So often, the accommodation is the first thing you plan and it has to be just right. We were delighted as soon as we arrived at Gunnado. Before we had got in the front door we had been shown the patio area with seating and the beautiful garden/sun terrace available for our private use throughout our stay. We knew then that we hade made an excellent choice. Then we were shown the well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation. We were set up, a perfect base for our travels around Cornwall and the perfect place to relax when we had exhausted ourselves. The view from the garden and the lounge bedroom window is delightful.
Nice touches like tea, coffee and milk to start off our self catering holiday and a dishwasher with tablets meant we are soon up and running.
Cath and Rob are the perfect hosts, kind and helpful, whether that be replenishing needs such as towels and dishwasher tablets, supplying recommendations on places to visit or just having a chat.
The location is perfect for visits to the Eden Project, Gardens of Heligan, the harbours at Charlestown and Mevagissey and Fowey. Trips to Tintagel, Port Isaac and Hollywell Bay take around 30 to 40 minutes but are well worth doing.

Fantastic Apartment
This is the perfect apartment for a stay near to St Austell.
Great views from the outdoor seating area.
Perfect location within a short drive distance to the beaches and coastal walks.

Great find in St Austell
Lovely apartment. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Warm and very comfortable.Fabulous view from the large sitting room window and a sun trap when it’s shining. Owners are there if you need them but unobtrusive. Lovely own outside seating area. You can walk into town but would recommend a car to get to all the beautiful places the area has to offer.

Great stay
Everything was great. It was really clean. The views were beautiful. It has lovely garden and patio with chairs. Kitchen was fully equipped with literally everything you may need. Its dog friendly and garden is fully secured. We would highly recommend it to everyone.

needed a place to stay to survey some properties in cornwall,a great place to unwind after a hard day travelling around and central to all the work i had to do highly recommend it

Never disappointed when we arrive here.Great hosts,fantastic apartment,a great place to unwind.A good base to get out and about to visit anywhere in Cornwall. Cath and Rob make the experience worth staying here, they are so obliging and we consider them friends now after our 5th stay with them.There is no where else we would stay.

Amazing
The best place we have ever stayed by far, Cath the hostess was so brilliant she answered all our questions and nothing was to much trouble. Rob the maintenance man was brilliant as well full of local knowledge and information advised us of where best to eat and where to go during the day would highly recommend to anyone.

Unbelievably comfortable!
Beautifully appointed, self-contained apartment with fantastic rural views over woods and green pastures. Kathy was very welcoming and we fell in love with the place straight away. Every need has been anticipated, everything is clean and extremely comfortable. It's very handy for downtown St Austell and for the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an excellent quiet stay.

Can't fault it.
Great location for exploring Cornwall , and the apartment is why we keep going back !! Not forgetting Cath and Rob who are so friendly and welcoming , that we have already booked up for next year .Beautiful view from your own decking of woods and cows , and your own privacy. Can't fault anything, love it , love it ,love it !!!

Perfect!
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Gunnado and once again we were not disappointed. The apartment is spotless and a lovely ‘home from home’ feeling. Rob and Cath are so welcoming and helpful and gave us lots of ideas of places to visit, printing off maps and putting in a lot of time and effort to make our holiday so enjoyable. It’s a perfect location to visit beautiful Cornwall and we will definitely be booking to go back next year.
