What an extraordinary lovely little cottage! We stayed two weeks. You can feel it is a much loved family holiday cottage yet it is steeped in history. If only those beautiful stone walls, characterful old stone floor, the big inglenook fireplace and upstairs wooden floors could tell the stories of past inhabitants: their lives, hardship, joys and endurance. The owners have tastefully added a very well fitted and cute kitchen. They have recently refurbished the shower room with a very powerful shower, heated towel rack and lovely light green tiles paired with very light pink painted walls. Very tastefully done. We especially enjoyed the cute little garden with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. All the neighbours are super friendly and Heather, the lady who looks after the house is incredibly friendly, helpful and very patient. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house.

fantastica
Grazie Micheline per averci ospitato nel suo cottage a dir poco magico io e la mia famiglia abbiamo passato 15 giorni fuori dal tempo lasciandoci trasportare dai panorami mozzafiato ,spiagge meravigliose e rimanendo ammaliati da tutto quello che è la Cornovaglia.

Authentiek
Charmant en auntentiek huisje. Klein, maar gezellig ingericht, net als het tuintje met zeezicht. Tips van eigenaar voor pubs en bezienswaardigheden waren ook heel relevant. Fietsen en wandelen kon meteen vanuit het huis, enkel wat ver naar een strandje.

perfect for scenery and walks
location fantastic coastal walks dog loved it cottage very comfortable had everything you needed only one little thing was husband has bad knees and could have done with a hand rail down the stairs but minor issue loved every thing about the holiday

I wish I could own this place!!! We loved it.
We stayed here for one week, the first vacation my husband and I have had without children since our honeymoon. We loved everything: the people, the land, the ocean, the sky, the tin mining history, the ancient sites and the hikes on the South Coastal Pathway. We wanted rustic and quaint and we were completely satisfied. The first night we stumbled across a vixen and her cubs just a stone's throw from the cottage, frolicking in a field. The last night we went to The Stars Inn in St. Just for Open Mic night and had so much fun meeting people. Another highlight was seeing 'Under Milkweed" at the Minack Theatre. We also had a lovely time chatting with the owners of the adjoining cottage who were also down for the week. Thank you Michelene for this wonderful place to stay.

We are so happy you had such a good holiday! When we first rented this cottage 40 years ago we fell in love with it too and we have been renting it out ever since we were able to buy it in 1978. Memorable stay at Geevor Tin Miner's Cottage
My mum and I enjoyed the most wonderful two days in this cottage. It was like going back to a simpler time. Even though it is 200 years old, the cottage is comfortable and well maintained without losing the feel of a bygone era. We needed no more than was provided in the cottage. Heather, the housekeeper, was amazing and so helpful. The surrounding countryside is beautiful; walking the moors to the beach or crossing the fields to the tin mine was exactly the change of pace we needed. We loved it!

Rustic cottage in a beautiful location
Great little cottage in a beautiful, historical area with some nice local walks. Upstairs was more spacious than expected with a very comfy bed. The kitchen is pretty basic but has everything you might need and eating outside was really nice watching the sun set over the sea.
The location is nice and remote but there is a handy local shop with a good range of food and drinks so you don't have to travel far to stock up. There are also two pubs within walking distance so not TOO remote :)
Didn't get to try out the log burner - I expect it would be very cozy in the autumn/winter.

Hope you come again to try out the log burner! Also we are having the "basic" kitchen up-dated this autumn and it hopefully will still keep its rustic charm.

Characterful cottage in a wonderful place
My partner and I had a lovely week in this rustic little cottage. The place has the inimitable feel of a much loved family holiday home, and it took me me back to holidays as a kid. If you need all mod-cons, look elsewhere, but if it's character and charm you like, this place has plenty - and it is comfy and well equipped, just in it's own special way. The local area also has a good shop and pubs, and the walks are simply spectacular: we ventured up onto the moors and visited ancient monuments, spent days wandering along the coastal path, explored ruined tin mines... We came by public transport and never felt trapped here - if anything, keeping everything within walking distance made the holiday even better. Great place.

Lovely review! And the good news is that we are having the kitchen up-dated this autumn with new full size hob and oven, new fridge and sink, counters, etc. Hopefully still keeping the "character and charm" that we love. It is a very much loved family home of nearly 40 years! Micheline

Traditional cottage with lots of character.
Great part of Cornwall. Lots to do. stunning views. Friendly locals. Meadery a must to visit. Lots of places to walk and beautiful scenery.
