COVID-19 Guidance for Margate House Guests Dear Holiday Maker, We are making every effort to ensure your stay with us as enjoyable and as safe as possible. In terms of your safety we are adhering to all Government guidelines for staying safe and ask that you help us in achieving the best conditions for a safe holiday with us. This is placing new responsibilities on us as a host, and you as a guest. We are more than happy to do our part to ensure the health and well-being of you, the other guests and staff in our home, and ask that you join us in making the arrangements work. On Arrival We will greet you at the front door and step outside to welcome you our accommodation. We will then discuss the COVID 19 guidance in place during your stay. You will be asked if you are experiencing any of the main symptoms of coronavirus are: • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature) • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual) • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal Non-contact temperature gauge We have procured a non-contact temperature gauge. All staff will be tested on a daily basis and guests will be tested on arrival. The temperature of 36.1C (97F) to 37.2C (99F) is considered a normal range for body. PLEASE NOTE: For the safety of you, other guests and staff, if anyone is found to present symptoms of COVID-19, unfortunately we will have no alternative other than to asked those effected to leave the premises immediately, in accordance with Government guidelines to safeguard the other guests and staff. With this in mind please do not travel to our accommodation if you or anyone in their household has COVID-19 symptoms. What should you bring? There are some additional considerations when going on holiday during this period. Please bring masks, gloves, soap, shampoo, hand sanitiser. It is advisable bring their own supplies of food and drink to reduce reliance and congestion in local shops. COVID 19 Guidance during your stay Our focus is to minimalize the spread of infection. There is now an enhanced, deep cleaning regime in all communal areas and following a guest’s departure in readiness for the next guest. We are asking that guests wear gloves and masks whilst passing through communal areas. This will mainly be from outside the front door to your accommodation. If you need any information or advice during your stay you will be able to contact John Cripps. On leaving When you are leaving, we are asking guests to leave a window open on the latch (unless it is very windy/rainy) and confirm (electronically) with John that they have done so and place sheets, pillowcases, towels in the bag provided. THE SPACE The loft apartment is an ideal retreat with no sounds from neighbours as the house is detached. The balcony is a great place to view Margate and the beach, and the dining room table is positioned so that you can enjoy breakfast and meals with the patio doors open looking onto the sea and the Turner Gallery in the background. We aim to provide a clean spacious retreat with beautiful features of a house from the 1800s When you book, John our very knowledgeable manager will contact you and provide you with any information you require and arrange booking in details to suit your travel plans. On arrival John or one of the team will meet you and walk you around the property showing you the facilities.
