Over all a nice experience. Close to Akumal beach and Dana was very professional and courteous as her husband too. They gave us written points of interest which came very helpful, especially as to what not to pay and some great places to visit. The place has two pools which are private and clean. Our unit had two rooms with A/C and it work quite well. The kitchen was well equipped. An ice chest will come in handy but that's the only thing you need to get. They have bicycles, life chest for the beach and the people are very friendly, including the ones working in the complex. The place also has hammacks, BBQ pit, a gondola with chairs and tables. We had a rental car which made it easy to move around, but that's optional. The highway or road where you move around is about a 1/4 mile from the complex.

A bit off the beaten path, which is actually nice. Located off a dirt road in the jungle, a short ride away from Akumal beaches and Akumal Pueblo. This is a great place to relax while being close to all of the sights in the area (30 minutes North from Tulum and Tulum ruins), Akumal itself has amazing beaches, snorkeling at Yal Ku lagoon and swim with the sea turtles right from the beach~! Great restaurants nearby, convenient location for 'collectivo' bus rides or taxi from main road just a moderate walk from the front door. Akumal is simply beautiful and retains the small charm that is not Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, or even Tulum (though not too distant, as Akumal is located about 30 minutes South of Playa Del Carmen). Wake up to singing birds and sounds of the jungle, yet near all the local sights. Simple living for those seeking more 'experience' than just a hotel. The best part is that Fabian and Dana, your hosts, are located nearby and can give local and interior travel advice and are just wonderful. Highly recommended. A small, yet well appointed kitchenette is a bonus if you prefer to save by cooking your own meals. If you have friends or family, want to plan a small romantic or large family gathering, I am sure that Fabian and Dana can accommodate. Those with rental cars will find this location most convenient, and those with an adventurous spirit will appreciate not being in the concrete jungle, but waking up in the real thing.

Nos hospedamos en Camp Akumal 10 noches, un lugar excelente, nos encanto la villa, tiene todas las comodidades por muy buen precio y las instalaciones están súper bien, es un lugar perfecto para pasar unas buenas vacaciones cerca de las principales playas de la riviera maya,todo lo que se ofrece y muestra en las fotos es lo que encontraras al llegar, los propietarios Fabian y Dana muy amables y atentos, nos encanto mucho nuestra estancia que seguro regresamos y lo recomendamos sin duda alguna.

Nessuna nota negativa per questo posto, camere (anzi appartamenti) bellissimi, puliti e curati, non manca niente.Finalmente un letto king size e a disposizione un barbecue a gas che ho usato tutte le sere.Hanno anche la piscina che non ho sfruttato perchè tanto il mare di akumal è stupendo.L unica cosa che posso dire, visto che si trova in un posto stupendo all interno della jungla, se non avevo la macchina mi rimaneva molto difficile arrivarci e muovermi, quindi mettetevi in conto o di affittare una macchina o un numero di taxi a disposizione

We loved staying at this peaceful get away, surrounded by nature, lovely gardens, birds and otherwise quiet space. It's a little out of way so having a car to get around was helpful. The swimming pool was fantastic! The beds and pillows were super comfortable! We all slept so well there. Having Wifi and AC was such a nice luxury! I couldn't believe what a great price for such luxuries! And of course the owners were so helpful and friendly! Thank you Dana & Fabian for a fabulous stay! We can't wait for our next vacation so we can stay at your villa again!

Pasamos 5 noches hospedados en Camp Akumal, fue muy cómodo y conveniente para visitar las playas cercanas. Las instalaciones son muy adecuadas y prácticas para nuestras necesidades, ya que viajamos con niños pequeños. El lugar es muy tranquilo y tiene todos los servicios necesarios, lo recomendamos ampliamente. Es necesario tener un vehículo propio para desplazarse.

Fabian and Dana are so accommodating and laid back... this jungle condo was a great, centrally located "nature retreat" for our action-packed family vacation. Lovely flora and fauna & unexpected jungle sounds... including monkeys and interesting tropical birds :) We chose the spot for its proximity to akumal beach, which was an easy drive, but not walkable with kids b/c of the distance and big highway to cross. Car was necessary. We loved using the beach chairs and boogie boards generously shared :) The condo itself was clean and simple with tasteful, modern furnishings, including on-demand hot water and aC with humidity control... pretty luxurious for their rates! Wish we had stayed longer to just hang out more on the patios, in the pool, etc. Only one minor complaint: pillows were too large for our old, cranky necks, but we fixed that by rolling up the comforter across the head of the bed. : ) Thank you for everything, Fabian and Dana!

Fabian, Dana, and their kids were great hosts for us. They offered a clean, full-equipped space and a lot of advice on the local sites, restaurants, and beaches. We were there over New Year's Eve and they even had a party in the complex, which was perfect as we didn't want to do anything crazy or be out driving late at night with the drunks. You will definitely want a rental car if you choose this place, but we were going to get one anyways...since we wanted the freedom to go to Coba (1 hour) and Tulum (less than 30 minutes) without an expensive and cheezy tour company. The a/C and wifi were perfect. This is truly a jungle property...you wake up hearing birds and monkeys and see iguanas as you walk to your car. Snorkeling with the sea turtles is truly a 5 minute drive. Thanks again to Fabian and Dana!
