Beautiful house and garden, very dog friendly with great walks from the door to the beach, the SW coast path or down a quiet green lane to Croyde. The house was very spacious and perfect for our needs. Use of tennis court was a bonus too. We were two families staying together and it worked really well although it would have been even better if there had been an extra bedroom as although it sleeps 8 its only 3 bedrooms. Could do a with a few more glasses/tumblers. Some great family and dog friendly pubs nearby in Georgeham with great food. Would love to return one day as great location close to stunning Putsborough beach and can walk there in 5 minutes - bit longer on way back as steep hill!

Devon is beautiful
Since our daughter stayed at a Boarding-school in the area, we have been going to this beautiful House in Putsborough every autumn. It‘s perfect for a big family, for a stay with friends. We love to play tennis, go surfing and hiking. We also love to have 3 pubs/restaurants and the beach in walking distance. The garden of the house is beautiful and it is well equipped.

Beautiful pet friendly cottage within walking distance from a lovely clean sandy beach
We stayed in the Barn cottage, which was perfect for us. Fabulous location, walking distance from Putsborough Sands, which is a beautiful long clean dog friendly beach. Our cottage had a small garden patio area. If you needed more room for your dog to run around there is also an enclosed field, play area next to the tennis courts that's two mins walk. The cottage is lovely and done in a very high standard; it has everything you would need if you wanted to self-cater. Excellent pubs in the area for delicious food too.

A beautifully secluded and comfortable cottage within easy walking distance of magnificent beach
Putsborough is a tiny hamlet nestled in a sheltered spot well off the beaten track yet only a short walk along a bridle way from the bustling village of Croyde and an even shorter, largely cross country walk to Putsborough beach with its acres of almost flat sand, gentle (when we were there) waves and excellent swimming.
The cottage itself is modern, has three double bedrooms (one of which has a double and two single beds) two with en-suites and a third family bathroom which is next door to the only room without its own en-suite. All the bed rooms are comfortable and spacious. A well equipped utility room is just off the entrance hall and the ground floor is tiled throughout with large slate tiles which made life simpler than carpets etc.
The kitchen is modern with all mod cons and sits alongside a dining table and seating area with large comfortable seating for all in a large square living area with easy access to an outside seating area and the beautiful garden.
The garden is a delight with flower beds, fruit trees, soft fruit cages, greenhouses and grassed areas all nicely maintained by gardeners. Dogs will enjoy the house, garden and the fields only 20 metres from the garden gate. Walks to the vast dog friendly beach entail using only very short stretches of a narrow road. Access to the South West Coastal path is found half way to the beach.
For the week we were staying we had exclusive use of a hard court tennis court a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. Fortunately our party all played tennis and our routine evolved into tennis in the mornings followed by afternoons on the beach and then a stroll into Croyde for supper.
Our group were unanimous in scoring the cottage top marks for comfort, fixtures and fittings, situation and local amenities. We had an errant fire alarm one weekend evening and after leaving a message on the “help line” number we were pleasantly surprised when the friendly and helpful owners appeared with a ladder to solve the problem..
The location, situation, facilities and the cottage were all excellent and the whole package is highly recommended for individuals and groups who love the coast yet prefer to be based in a tranquil location within easy reach of what makes North Devon so special.

A hidden Gem In North Devon
I stayed here for 2 weeks over November while my house was being renovated and we loved it!
As a cook, the kitchen was perfect for trying out new recipes while socialising in the open plan area.
It’s a 5 mins run to the beach where we spent most our time surfing.
Beds were comfortable and showers were hot.
Tucked away in a peaceful location and not overlooked.

Absolutely perfect holiday cottage in a superb location
The cottage is fantastic - spacious, spotlessly clean, fabulously equipped and there's even a spa bath! The location is brilliant - a 5min walk to one of the best (if not the best) beach in North Devon. Croyde is also just a short stroll away (where's there's some lovely places to eat/drink) as are many fantastic cliff top walks. We can't wait to come back!

Fantastic beautifully designed cottage within walking distance of Putsborough Sands
This cottage has a superb open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room with lovely views of the garden. The whole cottage is very comfortable with great bathrooms and facilities. You can walk to Putsborough Sands and in all directions from the house. Don’t hesitate, book it!
