Me, my boyfriend and another friend stayed in one of the l'Antafa apartments in April 2019. We had booked for 4 days, but stayed only 3 days. The apartment was not extraordinary, but clean and spacious, with a possibility to cook and five-minute walk to a beach with a few restaurants. My problem with our stay is not the apartment, but the fact that we saw the owner (Markus) abuse, beat, strangle and torture his two dogs at several occasions. The first couple of days we noticed cries and sounds coming from the dogs, but didn't know the cause of them. At one occasion, my friend saw Markus beat his two dogs, and told us about this. The dogs were, also while beaten, constantly tied up in a 1-meter leash, because as we were explained: "if they are free, they are just pooping everywhere". The last day of our stay, we were standing in the garden area when I saw Markus beat, torture, and strangle one of the dogs again. I confronted him by asking why he was doing this, and he told me it was none of my business to tell him what to do with his dogs. We had a heated argument, as we realized that during the three days - where we had spent only the mornings and late nights in the apartment - we had heard him beating his dogs four to five times. He got really angry at me for confronting him about the animal abuse and said that we should leave if we didn't like what he did. We left the apartment immediately after. As mentioned, the apartments are fine. But if you dislike animal abuse, I will strongly advise you to not support this man by staying in his apartments.

Notre séjour a l’antafa c’est très bien passé. Nous avons été bien accueillis par Markus le propriétaire, qui est également aux petits soins avec nous. Le bungalow est très bien situé: 5min a pieds de la plage, des restaurants, des taxis et bajaj ainsi que d’ambatoloaka le quartier animé de Nosy Be. Markus est également de très bon conseil pour tout ce qu’il y a faire à Nosy Be. Les bungalows sont propres, le confortables et bien sécurisés. Nous avons passés un excellent séjour en famille!

Ho soggiornato 6 settimane all'Antafa da aprile a maggio 2019: esperienza perfetta! Markus è un padrone di casa riservato e efficiente, in grado di aiutare e dare supporto per la conoscenza dell'isola e allo stesso tempo lasciando ai suoi ospiti il massimo della privacy. L'appartamento in cui abbiamo soggiornato è il più ampio, posizionato al secondo piano: pulitissimo, spazioso, fresco, dotato di una cucina atrezzata e un ampio terrazzo che affaccia sul bel giardino dell'Antafa, sempre perfettamente curato. La posizione dell'appartamento è perfetta: Ambondrona è vicina praticamente a tutto, senza però il caos turistico di Ambotoloaka che è comuqnue a 10 minuti di Tuk Tuk. Un buon modo cioè di vivere la realtà locale, in tutta sicurezza, immersi nel verde e a pochi metri dalla spiaggia. Nelle vicinanze ci sono ottimi ristoranti e un piccolo emporio dove poter comprare lo stretto necessario. Ogni mattina è possibile acquistare frutta, pane e pesce dai locali che vengono nel cortile a offrire le loro prelibatezze. In alternativa si può raggiungere mercato e supermercati con un tuk tuk, sempre disponibili (anche la sera) a pochi passi dall'Antafa o affittando un motorino. Markus ci ha aiutato anche in questo senso mettendoci in contatto con un locale che ne affittava. Esperienza perfetta a Nosy Be è la definizione giusta per chi scieglie L'Antafa! Marcus was the best host and nothing was too much trouble for him. He speaks perfect English and set us up with a great driver called Jacki who I would also highly recommend. Before arrival we were emailing Marcus to find out about different activities ect and he send a taxi to the airport to meet us. When we arrived the lodge was beautiful with a spacious front garden with sunbed and swings to relax on. The lodge itself was beautiful with a balcony kitchen area and a large room and bed which was very comfy and a daily maid service which I wasn't expecting. The lodge is a 2 minute walk from the beach just behind a set of hotels which means it's very quiet there and you don't get the hussle bussle of those on the beach early. There are food sellers which come into the lodge complex if you want to buy fruit, bread etc otherwise there's a little shack on the corner on the way to the beach to get bottled water and plenty of places to eat all within a max 10 minute walk. If you are here to dive the dive center is also only 2 minutes away on the beach next to the nosybe Lodge where you can use the swimming poole for free (so don't bother paying to stay there just use they're ammenities). If I come back to nosy be I would definite be staying with Marcus again I couldn't find fault with anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nous sommes ravi de notre long séjour de 6 semaines à l'Antafa. Les apparts ou bungalow sont super. Spacieux, bien pensé. La cuisine bien équipé est un vraie plus. Eau chaude et groupe de secours quand coupure électrique. Marcus et son staff sont au petits soins. Toujours à l'écoute et toujours un bon conseil. Tous parlent français. L'Antafa est très bien placé sur l'ile. Juste au milieu de tout. Plage juste à côté magnifique. Très belles balades a pieds. Bon restaurant a proximité. Un rapport qualité prix très bon sur Nosy Be.

Génial, on s'est senti comme à la maison avec la plage à quelques pas. Appartement idéal pour les familles qui veulent profiter de la mer tout en restant au calme. Merci à Marcus et à toute l'équipe pour l'accueil. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Markus has made our one-week stay in Nosy Be very much enjoyable. He and his wife are very friendly and helpful host. His bungalows are perfect for family vacation. It's conveniently located in a quiet place with walkable access to the beach. Markus has recommended us a great cook, Placide, as well as a driver. It's a hidden gem and we were very happy staying at L'antafa.

Le bungalow de Markus est idéal pour une petite famille qui cherche à trouver leur autonomie à l'écart des grands hôtels de l'île. La cuisine est tres bien équipée et nous n'avons manqué de rien. Le logement est très propre et le ménage est effectué tous les jours. La plage est situé à quelques centaines de mètres via un chemin qui contourne les habitation du rivage. Vous n'aurez pas de problème pour vous restaurer proche du bungalow. Markus est un hôte parfait. Très disponible et réceptif. Sa petite famille est adorable. Nous avons malheureusement dû quitter le logement plus tôt et Markus nous a accordé un remboursement :-)

The apartments are in a very private and peaceful space, just one minute walk to the beach. There is also hotel with a delicious restaurant and pool on the beach front which you can use. The home is very spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you'll need. It is also serviced daily. Markus was very welcoming and told us everything we needed to know about the area. We chose this apartment because it's located within a minute walk of a really good diving center - but we would have stayed there regardless. Really good experience. Thanks Markus!

Le domaine de l`antafa est situer a 5Minutes d`une petite plage très jolie, c`est jardin arborer et c`est décoration sont très agréable a voir avec des arbres du voyageur. Les appartement sont bien décorer, complet il ne manquer de rien frigo, anti moustic, ventilo ,cafetière four,... L`espace et calme et venter la recette parfaite pour un séjour reposant et agréable encore Merci au propriétaire Marcus qui sera vous accueillir comme il ce doit.
