We were in Greece 3 times before, but the trip to Crete was the top, I could say one of or best holiday, and that is mostly because of the accommodation. We rented the villa for a week, 3 families with children. Kids loved the swimming pool, the ladies enjoyed the jacuzzi. The house has pretty much everything one would need, the owner, thought about everything, even a ping-pong table. Location is on top of the hill, close to Mariou Tavern. The view is breathtaking! Many thanks to the host, Giorgios, who was very careful with us.

Unser Aufenthalt in Plakias Sunset Villa war wunderbar. Das Haus ist hell, modern und freundlich angelegt und gestaltet. Bei der Einrichtung und Gestaltung bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage am Berg mit Blick auf das Meer ist einfach traumhaft und nicht zu toppen. Das Schwimmen im Pool oder Baden im Jacuzzi mit Blick auf Meer ist perfekt! Sehr angenehm waren die Gepflegtheit und die Sauberkeit des Hauses und der ganzen Anlage! Unser ganz besonderer Dank gilt unserm Gastgeber. Er war super freundlich und hilfsbereit, das war echt Hammer! Die nahegelegene Taverne, der schöne Ort Plakias und die tolle Umgebung haben das Ganze abgerundet. Dieser Aufenthalt und unser toller Gastgeber werden uns noch lange in bester Erinnerung bleiben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We were in 9 and had a wonderful time. The Villa lacks absolutely nothing. It's a beautiful piece of building and there are so many small things like the sub woovers that make your stay unremarkable. We had a great time and are looking forward to return again! Thanks to the amazing host and sorry to the neighbours about beeing a little loud while parting :)

Ho soggiornato nella villa quest'estate con la mia famiglia e degli amici, devo dire che ho trovato la villa splendida e i servizi ottimi sicuramente tornerò, è vicino a delle spiagge incantevoli e ad un ottimo ristorante. Per una vacanza da sogno è perfetta.

Siamo stati a fine luglio in due famiglie composte da quattro adulti e cinque ragazzi. La casa oltre a possedere una vista magnifica è stata sicuramente apprezzata in quanto si è presentata meglio delle foto!. L’ospitalità del titolare è stata super in quanto oltre al classico frigo attrezzato di benvenuto ci ha messo in condizioni di poter pranzare più volte con le specialità preparate dal suo locale di proprietà fronte spiaggia. Infatti la baia che si vede dai terrazzi della casa è proprio quella della spiaggia di Damnoni raggiungibile in auto in pochi minuti dove ha sede anche lo splendido e ottimo locale del proprietario che anche la pertinenza della spiaggia. Si aggiunge a tutto questo quindi anche l’opportunità di poter prenotare gli ombrelloni nella deliziosa baia di Damnoni abbinando un incantevole mare alla tipica taverna del proprietario all’occorrenza. La piscina è stupenda e tenuta in maniera perfetta, la casa impeccabile e e dotata di ogni comfort addirittura Wi-Fi molto potente e una PlayStation aggiornata. Altro particolare interessante è la presenza di un altro locale eccezionale di proprietà di alcuni suoi parenti esattamente a 100 m dalla casa che, attrezzato per l’asporto, può risolvere ogni eventuale possibilità familiare. A tutto questo si abbina la discreta e allo stesso tempo presente cortesia e ospitalità di Gheorghiu con il quale è impossibile non diventare subito amici. Sicuramente essendo una zona ormai a me gradita farò di questa opportunità un appuntamento fisso annuale e lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia godere di questa esperienza nell’isola di Creta con o senza famiglia.

Ein tolles Haus, alles neu, großzügig und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Küche perfekt ausgestattet. Absolut ruhige Lage mit fantastischem Meerblick und sehr schönem Aussenbereich mit mehreren gemütlichen Sitzbereichen. Besonders der Pool und Whirlpool hat unsere Kinder begeistert! Mehrere schöne Strände und Ausflugsziele in kurzer Entfernung. Zudem gute Taverne ca 100 Meter vom Haus entfernt, man kann das Essen auch auf die eigene Terasse mitnehmen. Alles war blitzsauber, es gab sogar eine Zwischenreinigung in der Woche. Sehr netter, immer erreichbarer Vermieter, der bei Ankunft schon den Kühlschrank gefüllt und zudem noch selbstgebackenen, sehr leckeren Kuchen vorbeibrachte! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

- We stayed for 8 nights, 4 adults and 4 children - The villa is located in the remote village of Mariou. Perfect if you want something quiet and relaxing - The landscape is beautiful and well maintained, with a little playground for small children and table tennis - The private pool is amazing and offers a great alternative to going down to the beach. There are 8 deck chairs to sunbathe next to the pool - When the landlord heard that we would come with a 6 months old baby, he supplied a little baby swing for the garden, baby cot and high chair - The villa is very new and spacious with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is built to a very high standard. It was clean and has contemporary decoration - The roof terrace is perfect for relaxation. It is also completely shielded from the wind in the summer months. It is possible to remove the sun roof and enjoy the beautiful night sky - The villa's kitchen is well equipped and there wasn't anything we didn't find. There is even a barbecue with all the equipment needed - The living space is large with TV and eating areas - The veranda has a large eating area, ideal for breakfast, lunch and dinner - The cleaning was offered twice a week with new towels - We couldn't find a spot on the premises that wasn't covered by wi-fi - The agency frequently checked in with us to see if everything was well and if anything was missing - Taverna Mariou is literally 100 meter from the property down the hill. It has raving reviews and is an absolute hit with locals and tourists. If you don't feel like sitting down, they let you know when the food is finished for pick up and eating at the villa - No other tourists will disturb you out there - The villa is accessible via old and narrow country roads. The agency will provide the coordinates for Google Maps. Don't be surprised by the roards and keep on going (don't use car GPS) - Supermarkets can be found in Plakias, but we recommend to pick up all essentials at Lidl in Rethimno which you will pass when coming from the airport - Preveli and Shinaria beaches can be reached in only 15 min - The booking experience was very straight forward - Communication with the agent was prompt and no issues with deposit and payments - The recommended local car rental saved us quite some money compared to the bigger brands and turned out to be a very good service
