It was a very clean and cozy place for us 2 adults and 2 teens! In our opinion, it would have been better if the shower head had a softer spray only hard spray worked and an air conditioner in the room with the bunk beds is needed unless you want to leave that door open. All in all a good experience! Just a short walking distance about 15 min to the lake was nice!

Not the best
The whole place was shoddily put together. For the price we paid we would have liked it to be more comfortable and cleaner. It was like a flipped house with beach decor. The location was fine and Brad communicated well but on our road trip every place we’ve stayed in has been way nicer. I’ve never written a bad review and hesitate to do so but all the reviews were so great, we thought it would be much better. I thought others might like another take on what our experience was.

Nice Stay in South Haven
Cottage was very clean and welcoming. Close to beach and South Haven shopping. We had 3 people staying. 4 would be comfortable. More would be a little crowded . Host was very prompt to respond to my text questions. I would definitely stay again.

Awesome Owner, Great Stay
We had a wonderful weekend, lots of beach time and golf. Very clean cottage in a nice neighborhood. Close to beaches, golf course and the town of South Haven just minutes away. Brad answered all my questions and made us feel very welcomed into his home for our weekend stay. Thank You!

Great visit
We were very happy with our stay in Brad’s cottage. It was clean, comfortable and all was in working order. The walk to the beach at Kids Córner took a leisurely 13 minutes. South beach was a further 7 minute walk along the shoreline. We grilled steaks on the gas grill and I baked berry cobbler with blueberries we picked on our way to South Haven. Neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I enjoyed walking to the beach and admiring all the beautiful flower gardens along the way. All in all a lovely stay.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this cute cottage. It was very clean and had everything needed for a vacation rental. It was close to the lake, just about 4-5 blocks to the blue stairs beach.
There are 2 bedrooms, one with bunk beds and the other with 2 twin beds. It would be nice to have one queen bed instead of the 2 twins since there are bunk beds in the other room. There were window air conditioners which is fine but one is placed just above the head of the bed in one room. Luckily, it was cooler the days we were there so we didn't use them. There ceiling fans in each room were perfect. There was a large driveway that could fit 3 or 4 cars if needed. Great to have a grill and table in the yard though we didn't need to use them.
The rental is even better than the pictures. I added a few updated pics.
I must mention that new mattresses would be an awesome investment for this rental. The mattresses seemed old and not comfortable at all in my opinion. A good night sleep is so important on vacation. Also, mattress pads that don't sound like plastic every time you move would be wonderful!
I agree with a previous review, a deadbolt lock on the side door is needed. A full length mirror would be a plus too!
Great communication from the owner. I think this is a great rental and the price is right.
I would like to add that I have been coming to South Haven since I was a child. I know the area very well and have rented vacation homes many times in the past 25 years. This rental was great! I always like to give honest feedback to help other renters. Thank you!

Excellent vacation!
I was looking for a small home as a base for my mother-in-law and I to spend time with my family while they were in South Haven. This home filled my needs perfectly. I would definitely rent again. Brad was a perfect host, super attentive, kind & patient.

Perfect little spot
The house was clean and we had a great stay! Very close by to the kids park and the beach access! We would definitely book again!

Even better than the photos!
We were super happy with our stay. This place is clean and cozy! The location is perfect and the walk is an easy few blocks to the water. The neighborhood is beautiful and makes for a great weekend in South Haven. Brad was very attentive and helpful during our stay. This place was a great find!

Nice little cottage very close to beach
Beautifully kept, quiet neighborhood. My kids loved the bunk bed. A 3min drive (or healthy walk) to the beach where we spent most of our time. Easy to get to town and enjoy some cool candy shops, toy shops, and marina restaurants/bars. There’s something for everyone in this area. Very pleased with the property and communication w/ owner. Thank you!!
