The views are spectacular, the cottage is just right for a lovely retreat in the country side.
We had a wonderful time, as a family of 4.
My children enjoyed walking out of the cottage to go feed the horses in the adjacent field.
It was a magical holiday and the hosts were extremely helpful and delightful.
I highly recommend staying at the Byre.

Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved our stay here! Lovely house, had everything we needed and even a delicious freshly baked cake! Only 30 minutes from Longleat and nice roads there too! Couldn’t recommend more, and the hosts were so lovely. Thank you :)

Lovely location
The property was very clean and well presented, everything you need was already there. Whilst located in a quiet rural location, main towns were not that far away to stock up or visit. We had a great and relaxing time.

A 800 mile trip
The place was lovely and peaceful and the owners were very friendly.
I wouldn't call it child friendly though as there is nothing separating the main road from the bungalows, door locks have no key inside. But it was clean and welcoming
The double bed definitely needs replacing making all sorts of noises and I woke up in severe pain in my hip in the middle of the night plus the heating didnt work in one room or the hall, and the stank in the garden hasn't been sealed so every now and then there's a wiff in the air.
Over all I would stay again if these issues are resolved.

Our door locks do not need keys inside as the lock opens from the inside on a thumb turn.These were changed to comply with the fire regulations & advice from the fire safety officer. The double bed is firm as many people like a firmer bed and is very new.

Comfortable cottage
This was a great place to stay near to Avebury and other interesting and ancient sites. The cottage was warm and comfortable, has gorgeous surrounding countryside and suited what we wanted. The nearby road was a bit noisy though not overwhelmingly so.

Excellent location
We've just had a three night break in this cottage. Great location, lovely cottage and a very warm welcome from the owners. Thank you, Bridget, for the very welcome pint of milk and the absolutely delicious Victoria sponge!

New year eve night away
We booked the Byres 3 for an overnight stay with our 2 young children. The cottage was perfect, clean and cosy and just what we wanted for a little New year's get away. The owners were lovely and welcomed us with cake and a vase of flowers ( and also milk in the fridge) which were all lovely touches. The cottage is in a peaceful and beautiful setting and lots of nice pubs and local places to visit nearby. We would highly recommend the Byres and would love to return for a longer stay in the summer months

Beautiful cottage in a perfect setting
We stayed for 4 nights and were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We were given milk and a gorgeous homemade Victoria sponge on arrival, a very nice touch! The cottage has everything you need, everything is top quality brands and the dishwasher was an added bonus! The views are beautiful. Definitely need a car to visit all the must see's around Wiltshire. We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning. Thank you

Lovely holiday accomodation
The accomodation was perfect for families or 2 sets of friends, more than enough room for 2 adults 2 and children.
The owner was very helpful about where to eat locally.
The only negative was how close it was to the road which was quite busy but I'm sure it was only because we had all the Windows open due to the hot weather.
All in all we would definitely recommend.
