Situated at the edge of the delightful town of Garachico, we found the house to be quite charming and comfortable. Evenings became a little cold due to there being no doors between the kitchen and interior courtyard, but a heater was provided. However, we enjoyed our month in the house and the restaurant / bar next door was very convenient. The backdrop of volcanic mountains was spectacular and we loved sitting on the terrace in the afternoon sunshine. The town is very interesting with lots of restaurants and bars to visit. Snr Domingo was there to greet us on arrival and showed us round the house.

Garachico is a great base to explore the north coast of Tenerife and Domingo’s traditional Canarian Town House is the place to stay. The house is central with parking and many restaurants nearby within walking distance. The house itself is like a living museum but with all the modern conveniences including wifi, washing machine, dishwasher and hot powerful showers!

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay at this property; Domingo was there to greet us as we walked towards the house. This is a truly unique property and it has been tastefully renovated to a high standard. The small town of Garachico has a vast selection of restaurants and cafes; we enjoyed some amazing meals and service. The only thing lacking was a kettle and toaster so we could make our breakfast, hopefully Domingo purchases these. Overall we would fully recommend a stay at La Casita Del Muelle.

Nel mese di Agosto sono stato in 3 case diverse a Tenerife con la mia famiglia. Senza dubbio la casita del muelle è stato il soggiorno migliore. E' una casa antica e bellissima che consente di vivere pienamente le ricchezze del posto. Quando andrò nuovamente a Tenerife tornerò sicuramente in questa casa e nella parte nord dell'isola tralasciando completamente la parte sud. Consigliatissima.

Garachico war die perfekte Wahl für unseren Teneriffa-Urlaub: ein hübsches Städtchen mit hervorragender Küstenlage, von dem aus sich alle Ziele an der Nord- und Westküste problemlos mit dem Auto erreichen lassen. In der Casita del Muelle haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt; besonders gefallen hat uns die Dachterrasse, auf der man den Tag sehr schön bei einem Gläschen Wein ausklingen lassen kann. Wer im hinteren der beiden Zimmer schläft, kann außerdem zu Meeresrauschen einschlafen, denn die Casita del Muelle ist nur wenige Minuten von einem kleinen Strand entfernt. Wer lieber in den Lavabecken schwimmen gehen möchte, hat es auch nicht weit. Wir können Stadt und Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

The house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. A good location in the center of town and we could usually park outside. The not so good features were that the kitchen, which was very pretty, was not very practical. The plug didn't fit in the sink so it was difficult to wash up. Also there is no draining rack. Cooking facilities are limited to a hob, but no oven, grill or toaster. We were there in February which was quite cold and we asked the owner for some extra heaters which he was happy to supply.

Das Haus ist perfekt restauriert und in hervorragendem Zustand. Die Ausstattung ist umfassend, geschmackvoll und sehr ansprechend. Für vier Personen ist viel Platz. Bei unser Ankunft sind wir sehr nett empfangen worden und haben das Haus äußert sauber vorgefunden. Wir hatten eine Woche gutes Wetter und haben die Dachterrasse ausgiebig genutzt. Die Räume im Erdgeschoss haben nur kleine Fenster und sind daher etwas dunkel, aber gut beleuchtet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind gemütlich und mit guten Betten ausgestattet. Die Küche läßt kaum Wünsche offen und in der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft gibt es mehrere Restaurants, Bars und Cafés. Der kleine Strand von Garachico liegt direkt gegenüber auf der anderen Seite der Küstenstraße und lädt zu einem Bad vor dem Frühstück ein. Garachico ist ein gepflegtes, historisches Städtchen mit kleinen Plätzen, großen Kirchen und wilder Lavaküste. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt, einige kleine Geschäfte und ein große Auswahl an Gastronomie. Der Ort ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um im Tenogebirge, am Teide oder im Orotavatal zu wandern. Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert.

Excellent spacious classic Canarian house. Two comfortable bedrooms with plenty storage space and two bathrooms - one up one down. All very tastefully decorated with traditional style. We had two friends staying with us for two of our four weeks. Big kitchen was perfect for home cooked meals with all you need and conveniently arranged. TV, Wi-Fi, DVD player all worked perfectly. Comfortable homely sitting room with useful local guides. We used heater about three times over the month. Weather supplied one superb week one fairly cold wet week and two middling. Car useful to go find sun and we settled on car park at foot of San Pedro road which was 50 yards away but always quiet. Always plenty hot water. Bar next door very friendly and not a problem with late night noise. Loads of restaurants within easy walking distance and all classes and types of food. Alduela for special, la Perla for friendly local, bar next door for coffee and brandy. La Caleta d'interian along coast for nice sandy beach. Walk from Santiago del Tiede to Masca. Or Buena Vista to el burgado restaurant and spectacular cliffs. Domingo greeted us on arrival and told us all we needed to know. We would stay here again. The house the town and the general location all perfect if you want to see the beautiful countryside of Tenerife. Maybe later in the year next time when we can use the sun terrace more often.

We had a wonderful 10 days in this lovely house brimful of character. We were met on arrival, everything was explained and there was everything we could possibly need. The village of Garachico is charming and was a great base to explore nirthern Tenerife. The traditional layout of the house was great and we really enjoyed the inner courtyard and roof terrace. We would definitely go back and thoroughly recommend La Casita.
