We opted to pay the extra for the lovely and friendly Micheal and Claire to collect us from Malaga airport! We also decided to go for the extra tv channel package, which my husband was delighted about, as he could watch the Rugby match! The apartment is finished to a high standard, nothing has been forgotten, the kitchen has all the tools you would need, as well as a lovely welcome package, of sangria, milk, bread and home made jam, as well as tea and coffee etc. Even down to washing up liquid! The balcony is large, and overlooks the Marina, and pool.
There is so much to do in the area, you will be spoiled for choice, we tended to go across the road to the marina and port area, where there were lots of little places to eat, and drink, and very reasonable, not too far to walk, and nice views of the marina, and more peaceful, if you do not care for the nightlife! Los Bolices is worth a visit for the charm of the town and tapas areas, also a very good beach, with comfortable sunbeds.
Fish Alley is a 5 minute walk to the right of PYR, and many places to choose from
that its difficult to decide! We were only there for 5 nights, so we did not get to as many places as we would have liked, so next time will be going for longer! Also the municipal market near the train station, great for fresh fish, meat and fruit and veg, we bought some gigantic prawns, and huge bulb of garlic, and sat on the balcony with fresh bread and wine, brilliant! The best supermarket nearby, is not the one directly across the road, but if you cross the road and walk on the left of the seafront, there is one called Provissimo {i think?} much cheaper, more choice! To left of PYR is pepys bar good for a nightcap, and over the road from there is a great take away pizza place, best we have tasted in ages! Do choose the pick up and collection that Michael and Claire offer 50 euros, we had very early flight home, so it was good to have that in place,as well as the wake u call!
