Voor een derde maal, hebben we bij George & Olive gelogeerd voor onze reis naar de Algarve. Wederom zijn we uitstekend verwelkomt geweest door de vriendelijke eigenaars. Het appartement was, zoals steeds, kraaknet. Enig minpuntje was dat de wasmachine buiten gebruik was. Zelf "Minky",de wit-zwarte poes van de geburen,kwam ons elke ochtend goeidag wensen. Het verblijf ligt centraal in de Algarve gelegen zodat het goed gelegen is voor uitstappen. Bij een volgende reis naar Portugal, zullen we zeker terug aan "Casa do Sonos Avocado" van George & Olive denken. Dear George & Olive, we want to thank you again for our stay. Excelente
Nos gustó todo, estuvimos en el apartamento Avocado. La casa muy cómoda y limpia. Camas muy cómodas y amplias. La cocina muy equipada, había de todo y todo nuevo y limpio. Nos dejaron muchísimas toallas, algo que en otros apartamentos hemos echado de menos.
La zona común de la piscina también estaba estupenda, es tal y como se ve en las fotos, jardín cuidado y zona de barbacoa con todas las comodidades, aunque no la usamos porque nos faltó tiempo. La piscina es pequeñita pero perfecta para un chapuzón al volver del día de playa. Nuestro anfitrión nos iluminaba la piscina por la noche así que las cenas eran perfectas, con baño nocturno incluido.
Aunque hay otros dos apartamentos más pequeños, hay privacidad total.
Los dueños muy amables y pendientes de todo.
También está bien situado, porque aunque la casa está en el campo, el acceso a la A22 que es la autopista del Algarve es sencillo y rápido.
El pueblo más cercano es Olhao que tiene todo tipo de servicios, muchos supermercados y restaurantes. Tiene un mercado muy bonito y en la zona que da al puerto ponen unas terrazas muy agradables para tomar una copa por la noche.
La zona de la ría Formosa es dónde están las playas más cercanas. Las playas de las islas son especialmente bonitas, me gustó Fuseta sobre las demás, aunque demasiado concurridas en agosto.
Recomiendo la playa Dos Tomates (es una zona de la playa Falesia cerca de Vilamoura)
Tiene parking de pago, 2'5 euros todo el día, pero es de fácil acceso, la playa es espectacular y tiene un pequeño chiringuito muy agradable que acababa de abrir, al que le estaban instalando duchas, algo inusual en la mayoría de playas del Algarve y que se agradece.
En resumen, para repetir porque con una semana falta tiempo para ver todo lo que ofrece el Algarve, quizá mejor en otro mes que no sea agosto o en primavera.

Lovely place for a getaway
Lovely place to stay if visiting the East Algarve. Apartment and garden very clean and spacious plus has good facilities. Only a 10min drive away to Olhão where there are supermarkets, and restaurants, plus beaches nearby. We made use of the BBQ plus has pizzas one night using the wood fired pizza oven!

Uitstekend verblijf bij vriendelijke eigenaars
Zoals vorige keer bij ons verblijf in Casa dos Sonhos zijn we uitstekend ontvangen geweest door de eigenaars. Het appartement was perfect onderhouden en we konden slapen in een goed bed met heerlijk ruikende lakens (vers gewassen).
We konden ook het voedselpakket (koffie, melk, water, bier, fruit en een fles wijn) die de eigenaars voorzien hadden, wel heel erg appreciëren. We hadden tevens geluk met het weer met temperaturen tot 22° wat ons verlof heel aangenaam maakte.
De eigenaars hadden een airco geïnstalleerd die we konden gebruiken om de frisse avonden wat op te warmen. Bij een volgend verlof in de Algarve komen we zeker nogmaals terug.
Dear George; we were very happy that we were able to get to know Olive this time and that you recieved us excellent in your "Dream house". Hopefully we will see us soon in november.

Modern eingerichtete Unterkunft mit schönem Garten
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei George & Olive. Das Appartement ist sehr modern eingerichtet und verfügt über sehr viel Ausstattung. Wir haben gleich zu Anfang Tipps bekommen, sodass wir uns sehr schnell in der Umgebung zurecht finden konnten (ein Mietwagen wird dringend empfohlen). Die Unterkunft können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Perfect family friendly apartment
Very comfortable and clean apartment with everything you need. We really loved the garden and the pool. George and Olive are extremely helpful!!! We would visit again!

Merci beaucoup à George pour son accueil chaleureux et les infos sur l'environnement de la location. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les attentions manifestées à notre arrivée: avocats et citrons de la propriété, boissons fraîches et vin. Le logement est tout à fait conforme à la description faite, très agréable et confortable, sans oublier les extérieurs. Notre séjour, tôt dans la saison, ne nous a pas permis de goûter au plaisir de la piscine après une journée de découvertes de la région, mais nous imaginons très bien à quel point cela doit être agréable.
Merci encore de nous avoir permis de passer un agréable séjour chez vous George. Et nous n'hésiterons pas à recommander ce lieu.

Fantastic villa, clean and friendly service
We've stayed here as a family three times now and enjoyed our stay every time. George and Olive are the best hosts and happy to help with anything you may require during your stay.
Rooms are lovely and clean and well equipped.
Swimming pool is fantastic.
Located for easy reach of Faro, Tavira and Olhao, as well as anywhere you may wish to visit on the Algarve.

Een van onze beste ervaringen.
De reden om dit appartement te kiezen waren de uitstekende reviews op tripadvisor en inderdaad de goede beoordelingen zijn zeker en vast verdiend. Het ruime, maar vooral proper appartement had alle comfort. Er waren voldoende potten, pannen, glazen en borden aanwezig zodat we niet alle dagen hoefden af te wassen. De tuin was ruim uitgerust met stoelen, tafels en ligstoelen zodat we in de late namiddag nog enkele uurtjes van de zon konden genieten. Tevens was er mogelijkheid tot barbeque.
Wat ons ook opviel, was dat de lakens lekker fris roken de eerste nacht dat we gingen slapen. Bij aankomst had George ons verwend met een soort van verwelkomingspakket, zodat er fruitsap, water, fles rode wijn en enkele pilsjes op ons stonden te wachten in de koelkast. Handdoeken waren ook ruim aanwezig. Wat ik ook kon apprecieren was dat het appartement met voldoende veiligheidsmiddellen was uitgerust (brandblusser, voldoende rookmelders, brandverlichting enz.)
Voor ons dus een plek om niet te vergeten en indien mogelijk ook om weer te keren.

Welcoming apartment and ideal location to explore East Algarve
Casa dos Sonos is a perfect base to explore East Algarve. Lovely, clean, apartment. Plenty of space, everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including a wonderful welcome pack. Great outdoor space, with pool and BBQ area. George and Olive proved to be extremely welcoming, helpful, and kind. For example, they assisted in helping us arrange alternative car hire when our fell through. Plenty of toys for our 2 year old to play with.
Can highly recommend this area. Plenty of supermarkets and quality restaurants within driving distance. Great beaches and places to explore. We will definitely return!
