Don’t need to say much other than the place was a complete mess and disgusting , didn’t even stay the night booked. Avoid

I need to thank Coco and his staff for making our stay bearable. The property however is a shambles and I would not recommend it to anyone. One of our travellers received an electric shock from a bedroom lamp. The electrical safety switches had to be reset at least twice a day due to overloading and the weather was not even too hot. The decking and shower timbers were rotten and need replacing as they represent a safety hazard. We paid over $200 AUD per night for this property and I would have felt ripped of at $20 per night. If you have children then you need to avoid this place. The location is very good as the restaurants nearby provide excellent food at reasonable prices. Also Coco and the and the other staff treated us really well.

This place was very disappointing, it could be a really lovely villa! Unfortunately it has not been maintained well at all. The pictures in bookings.com are used from a magazine shoot years ago and it still looks the same but nothing has been updated. After reading previous reviews I would take into account what previous people have said to make this a better stay. It wouldn’t be hard to improve a little bit. 1. It would be easy to equip the kitchen a little better, nice glasses, wine glasses, tea towels. Some of the drawers in our villa need fixing. 2. There were a lot of complaints from guests about lack of towels. Guests like to have separate pool towels and shower towels. Could use some hand towels and bath mats too. 3. I would have felt more comfortable if I could lock my bedroom door at night. Also I had a roof top room with a glass door and metal handle. I literally could not touch it at the heat of the day as it would burn my fingers. 4. Maybe provide mosquito coils or zappers? It would be a nice gesture. This place has potential and with an upgrade and some thoughtful extras it would be an attractive option! The staff however were very helpful and lovely. A special shout out to Coco who was incredible!!!!

Very dirty and rundown property. Every curtain was broken, torn and dirty. All the glass windows/ walls have large gaps to let in mosquitos and bugs. The second bedroom was the worse as the glass walls with gaps was facing a dank, dark ‘mosquito haven’ unkept garden. We moved a suitcase kept in that room and about 50 mosquitos flew out of it. We were eaten alive even with constant spraying and mosquito coils. The floors are stained and very slippery. The second toilets leaks and was going to be repaired using glue! The fan switch on the wall sparks. The pool deck is filthy and the pool has loose cement tiles. They kept the mop that was used to clean the floors in a damp dark garden in the mud. This place dank and dirty.

Unfortunately, upon our arrival at the villa we immediately noticed large amounts of black mould throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms. This created a potential health hazard. Consequently, we left the villa. The staff that handled this premature leavinv and were sympathetic and courteous to our late cancellation.

I stayed at this villa just over 2 weeks ago. My partner and I ordered a burger from the room service menu and got extremely sick with food poisoning. The burger showed up 2 hours after we ordered it, cold, and no explanation was given. The master bathroom toilet leaked and the whole villa frequently filled with a sewerage smell. The change room near the master bedroom had water on the floor from a water leak also. The cutlery and plates were dirty and we got an overall germy feeling about the villa as it appeared to have not had a proper clean in a long time. The bathroom is outside, so mosquitos were constantly swarming around, particularly given the leaking toilet water on the floor. The day after we left the villa, my partner and I got really bad chest infections. This meant we lost precious days of our trip in bed sick. The property was unresponsive when we complained after our stay through the booking provider. We tried to resolve the issues while we were staying there, but the staff speak little english, so it was very difficult to communicate. I would not recommend this villa to anyone.

We have left Kawung 2 bedroom villa today. The location and the friendly staff is the only positive things I can say about the villa. Very disappointed in the standard/ maintenance of this property. We wish we had of made more of a point to complain and move onto another hotel/villa. The cleanliness is very poor to average., made difficult by the age of the fittings and fixtures in the villa. Everything was damp, mould growing. Windows that don’t seal, lighting that is faulty. The bathroom leaked like a sieve. The toilet seat fell off , was repaired and fell off again. The shower is outside and had terrible pressure, barely hot water and leaves and bugs all around you. The bathroom and dressing room areas were very dark with minimal lighting making it difficult to find your clothing or do any sort of makeup. At night the mosquitos were swarming, despite efforts from staff to spray our rooms routinely. Because the windows/doors do not seal, it is a losing battle. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. So the living area where the only tv was located was sweltering hot. For the price of this accommodation there should be televisions in the air conditioned bedrooms. The pool Itself was ok, nicely shaded and cool. Difficult to get in and out of due to no railing or steps so I would definitely not recommend for children or anyone less that fully capable of lifting themselves out. The deck to the pool was so rotten and damaged that you literally felt like you would fall through it at any moment. There was three glass door entries to the villa however only one was lockable. Meaning your belongings are not secure when you are out and about. One door had a faulty lock and the pool access from /bedroom door was not lockable at all. Only the main bedroom had a safe, so the coupe staying with us carried their money and passports the whole time. The wifi dropped in and out consistently. Canggu is a beautiful destination and there are so many options for accommodation. This villa needs some serious money spent by the owners and a really good clean to make it acceptable. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful.

This is by far the worst villa we have ever stayed in while in Bali. The pictures advertised do not reflect the current condition of the villa. It is extremely dirty, to the point where there is mould growing in both bathrooms. The villa needs a thorough clean and bulk money spent to upgrade the facilities. Although the villa is in a good location, that’s where it stops! Every day we had to get the maintenance person to come and fix issues with the villa. The toilet seats constantly came off the toilet, the shower heads had to be changed multiple times as there was either water flying out everywhere or not coming out at all, and there was also a lack of hot water. A Green like fungus came out of the taps and the whole place feels dirty. There was no lighting in bedrooms, just really dull lighting lamps. The sliding doors doors were really hard to open and one of the doors would not lock. The staff were nice and were always willing to help when something went wrong, however this should not happen when you’re paying $200 a night!! The villa owners should be ashamed of themselves charging the amount they are in the current condition it is in. Suggestions improvements: - lights to be added to both bathrooms - renovates all bathrooms (current ones are in a disgusting state) - rebuild pool deck - clean the whole villa from top to bottom - add smart tv’s in bedrooms - advertise that Two bedrooms are NOT equal in size! One is much bigger than the other. - new doors added to whole villa - aircon needs to be added in main lounge area - new microwave - new kitchen facilities I have stayed in better backpacker places than this mess of a place. Avoid at all costs and stay somewhere else! )please see photos

Arrived here for our 4 night stay. We couldn’t wait as this was the last stop on our trip and from the photos the place looked amazing. When we arrived we were a little taken back as the property was down a little side road full of half built buildings. We got the keys to the villa from rather late as we’d been travel from the last destination so we didn’t see just how bad it was until the morning. The next morning we got up to have a good look around and was appalled at how run down and dirty the place was. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. There was damp, rust, rotting wood on the ceiling. The place hadn’t had a deep clean for a VERY long time. Completely unacceptable and completely different to the photos. The decking of the pool was rotting. There was rust all over the toilet and the sick. There was damp all over the walls and the glass of the showers were filthy. There was stains all over the rugs and curtains in the bedrooms and wires hanging down from the lighting in the bathroom. Just a mess. I didn’t even want to go in there. The only area that lives up to the photos was the living room. However they offered us another property that they said was in better condition as it was a newer villa so if we stayed where we was we could move to that the next day. We waited and waited to see the other property, eating into the last few days of our holiday and when we eventually did. It wasn’t much better. Tired and unkept so we decided to pack up and leave. We were so unhappy that we asked for a refund because they place was that bad and we went and found another hotel. The team there were very helpfull and understood the reasons why we didn’t want to stay and gave us a full refund of the nights and so they should have because they should be ashamed that they are charging the money they are for this place.

These villas are well located in Canggu, the staff are attentive and helpful, and the private pool was just wonderful. It's easy to get to the nearby beach on foot, or the staff can help you hire a scooter. We enjoyed our time here, although our villa was a bit tired and could have done with a bit of work.
