My wife and I stayed in Villa Sandy for three nights in November 2021. The place was spotlessly clean and had maid service every day. The private pool was a nice way to relax in the afternoons. We would definitely recommend Villa Sandy. The only thing that was slightly negative is that the bed was hard and pillow selection was not what we would normally use. Hearing the howler monkeys in the morning and evening was fun. Villa Sandy is close to town and a perfect place to stay if you have a car.

We just returned from an amazing 10-day stay at Samara Rocks Villa Sandy. The stunning property is surrounded by amazing gardens, flowers, wildlife and trees, making it the perfect location to relax. Our Villa (which was immaculately clean) was equipped with a full kitchen that included cooking utensils, a cook top stove, a microwave oven and a refrigerator. The villa also had a beautiful outdoor patio/dining area with a hammock, chairs, shower and an outdoor grill overlooking the beautiful pool. Roberto (and staff) were very responsive and so welcoming. Any request that we had, they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! During our stay at Samara Rocks, Roberto prepared an amazing 5-course Italian dinner that was so delicious and special. We highly recommend Samara Rocks Villa Sandy! We can’t wait to return!!!!!

We stayed at Villa Sandy once again and again we were pleased with the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Samara Costa Rica is a great location for offshore fishing, going to the beach and just relaxing. The area has a number of excellent restaurants and the people are very friendly.

Lovely uncrowded beach where one can sit in front of the ocean and spend the day under umbrellas or shady trees, drinking coffee or beer, reading a book while enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner. Restaurants are open all day, located at the beach and the food was great. Roberto, the proprietor of Kalimba Villas was most friendly and attentive to the needs of his customers, I must say also that he is a remarkable chef so we were able to have first class Italian food. We stayed at one of his 4 bedroom houses, up on a hill overlooking the forest and five minutes by car from the little town. The house was beautifully designed, of Spanish and Italian style, perfectly equipped, with a blue Italian tile pool just in front of the patio entrance. One of the best beach spots I've visited. We will be back next year.

Villas Kalimbas offers an exceptional value in one of the most beautiful locations in Costa Rica. Roberto and his staff provide a clean and secure environment to enjoy all that Samara has to offer. In this our second year staying at the Villas Kalimbas, we have developed meaningful friendships with locals there. People are eager to please whether in a restaurant or simply renting lounge chairs on the beach. Filled with Italians, Samara offers exceptional cuisine including Roberto's outstanding meals that he prepares on occasion in an open air setting by the pool. We talked friends and family into joining us this year and every single person wants to return. Since we were entertaining guests we rented "Sandy" and loved having our own private pool with beautiful views of the spectacular sunsets. Both the casitas in the town and our house are impeccably clean with maid and pool service every day. Our linens were changed every two or three days. The properties are comfortable providing ensuite bathrooms at both the casitas and the house we rented. This year's three-week stay still seemed inadequate. We are already booked for 2019.

I'm used to staying in all inclusive resorts however the change that villa sandy provides is par none. You have the luxury of a private villa with two protective gates while only being minutes from a cute town. A cleaning service is provided as well as the comfort of a kitchen for a quiet night in. Great experience, great house, great country! Will be back for sure

The best activity was the canopy/jip line experience. Next is the beach with body surfing or surfing and just relaxation In shore fishing was not the best but, we are spoiled as we live in Key West The quiet, the quiet with no phones or TVs or dysfunctional news was the best.

This was our fourth stay at Villa Bruga with our friends and it now feels like a second home. The location between two spectacular beaches (Playa Samara and Playa Carillo) is perfect. The villa is scrupulously clean, very well appointed and secure. Mario takes excellent care of the pool and the grounds. Any problems (and they have been rare) are dealt with promptly. For example, a malfunctioning air conditioner received immediate attention. The daily cleaning service was perfect for our needs. We enjoy cooking for ourselves and even cleaning up. But the overall maintenance provided by Marcela made us feel that we were on holiday. Roberto, who oversees the property and runs Villas Kalimba in Samara, occasionally prepares not-to-be-missed dinners for his guests. A great break from our own culinary efforts! Already, we're planning our return.
