I have been so pleased with this apartment. It has everything. Huge kitchen, every needed appliance incl. washer and dryer. High Speed internet. A balcony with the most amazing view. It is located only a 7 min walk from downtown but is in a hidden valley that seems a world away. Spotlessly clean. It has all the amenities of a resort (golf, spa, gym. etc) but it is the beauty of its location that I find so refreshing.

Great Price Great View, Great Location
Stayed for two months and wanted to stay longer. We enjoyed the morning birdsong on the balcony and the lovely view across the valley. Although quite close to town , we were glad we had a car to explore the beautiful Chiriqui countryside. Although the furnishings were somewhat worn, the bed was very comfortable and the condo felt roomy.We loved the clubhouse and the beautiful grounds at the resort. Definitely the best price at this luxury resort. Thank you Brenda! -Susanne and Bruce

Blissful Boquete
The unit was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We had all we needed to make our 5 week stay in Boquete very enjoyable. It was very peaceful and relaxing and there were no barking dogs or crowing roosters which are very prevalent in other parts of Panama. Beautiful gardens and lush surroundings and top notch facilities (surcharge $50 pp). Only issue was with the daily power outages. After a few days we figured out that the TV needed to be unplugged and turned off in the back after a power outage for it to work again. I would highly recommend this condo for a vacation rental and Boquete is a very lovely area to explore.

Rocky Start
Upon our arrival, we were notified that there was a "slight issue" as the hotel staff at the resort (which manages the rental unit) had given our unit to another group of individuals. They placed us in a hotel room until they had the situation fixed a day later. Once in the unit discovered the fan in the living room and the overhead lights in the bedroom did not work, and all of the other lights (bathroom, hallway kitchen, etc) had only one operational light bulb making it difficult to read, cook etc. Other than that the unit was very clean and stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, etc....

I have already responded in detail privately to this guest and offered my personal apologies. Briefly, this guest's experience was the result of an unfortunate collection of personal errors and staff training issues. The Panama service industry is still evolving, and sometimes service standards are not what they ought to be, even in a top notch hotel like Valle Escondido. However, the locals are friendly and try their best. When issues are courteously highlighted to them, they usually respond positively and quickly.

Rest and Relaxation
We came for a month to Valle Escondido to relax and that is what we did. The 9 hole golf course had a few overgrown potholes/ soggy fairways, but was fun. The Indoor Spa facilities we also quite good. The apt. was clean and well stocked minus a few key items such as a tea towel, oven mitts, can opener which we purchased at the dollar store. The rate was quoted as $20/pp for the month but it was actually $ 53.50/pp to use the golf course and spa facilities which was still a good deal. You can walk into town approx. 8 min or call for a $2 cab ride. The apt itself was quiet and overlooked the 5 green. If you are adverse to wind to not go to Boquete - as the trade winds blow from Nov-Feb and were very strong when we were there. We would love to go back to Brenda's unit next time we are there, as the value cannot be beat.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the absence of the essential items that you mentioned (which are actually in the inventory and should have been all there), and also for the Resort increasing its temporary country club card processing fee without informing me.

Absolutely beautiful area.
The condo is quite nice with a gorgeous view of one of the most beautiful gated communities -- Valle Escondido -- anywhere. The condo could use some sound baffling such as curtains pictures to break up the sound reverberations because of the very high ceilings. The only real complaint we had was that the hotel cleaning crew which is responsible for cleaning the condo did a terrible job.
Highlights include a short ten minute walk to the town of Boquette and the Valle Escondido restaurant provides outstanding breakfast and coffee. The grounds are spectacular

I've since had words with Hotel Management and the Head of Housekeeping promised to exercise more supervision. I am glad to report that the next lot of guests reported that they found the condo "beautiful and clean".
