Outstanding location:This great Apt. is located just outside of the Old City's Pile gate ( the major pickup point for numerous local and day trip tours as well as one of the main entrance gates to the old city). In less than a 5 min. "flat" walk ( other than the old city's main street, not much "flat walking" - stairs everywhere lol!) you have several restaurants, 2 small grocery stores, a bakery, sandwich shop, city bus stops & the visitor center. The modern updated Apt.has double glass windows, making it a quiet place to sleep. The bedroom and bathroom are of good size with a small kitchen all of which met all our needs - perfect size for a couple. Our host (owner's daughter) Irina was a great host always looking to please her guests - Thank You for everything Irina !! We stayed a week and highly recommend this comfortable apt with its great location and host. Tips: Several outdoor restaurants along the main street in the old city have live music to listen to, very relaxing atmosphere in the evening after a day of sightseeing; we found the "restaurant row" just "one street above " the main street ( on your left as enter the old city from the Pile gate entrance - just past the church, to have good food, reasonable pricing and a more quiet atmosphere for lunch or dinner; when you walk the city walls ( although not cheap, it is a must do!) do early as possible or late in the afternoon as it can get hot with little to no shade during summer months - great views! Also, we did the city walls walk with a tour guide with a combo city walk, not very expensive when bought as a combo package, and did the two tours on separate days to keep our sightseeing on a relaxing pace. Note: You miss a lot of history and background about the old city and Croatia if you do not take a least a city tour.

Marina, the hostess, was so helpful with absolutely everything, before and during our trip. The apartment, as with all the apartments in this wonderful location, is old. However it is very comfortable and has all the necessary requirements.With a supermarket across the road, buses within 200m walk and the old town 500m walk the location could not have been better.

The location of this apartment is perfect. It's very, very close to Pile Gate giving excellent access to the old town and to the various transports available. It is also very close to the West Harbour, a lovely place to sit and while away some time with a book. A few yards further is a small sheltered beach ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There are only a few easy steps from the apartment into the old town, this is not to be underestimated in Dubrovnik!! It is ideally located for visiting local restaurants and is perfect for organizing trips and tours. The old harbour is only a ten minute walk away to get a boat to Lokrum or Cavtat. Marina and her daughter, Irena (not sure of spelling!) are wonderful hosts. Nothing is too difficult and will gather information to help you plan your stay. I have described the apartment before, it is comfortable and pleasant to use. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt at home. This apartment doesn't have a separate sitting room, if this is an issue Marina has a second apartment in the same block which does (Pile II). I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants an apartment in a perfect location with perfect hosts.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September for a trip to this beautiful city...the apartment was a great find. 2 minutes walk from the Pile gate on a quiet back street. Walk through the back streets for a couple of minutes and you can reach two beautiful bays to swim or have a quiet end of day beer away from the crowds. The apartment has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. Marina and Irina were great hosts and booked a taxi for us to the airport. We would definitely recommend this apartment...a perfect spot in this beautiful city!

Location is 1st class. So close to the old walled city yet also very quiet. Lovely clean apartment and very secure. Great bakery nearby and grocery store. Marina's daughter Irina met us when we arrived in Dubrovnik and took us to the apartment and a few days later we met Marina herself. They were wonderful hosts and we would definitely book with Marina again when returning to Dubrovnik. Thank you for your hospitality.

We were happy with our stay here. The apartment is just adequate for a couple, thoughtfully equipped and clean. Best is its location just outside the Pile Gate! The owners responded immediately and were very helpful. We found the AC noiseless, and effective, unlike some other reviews.

We booked a last minute holiday to Dubrovnik and we were so lucky to stumble across this delightful apartment to rent. It is in the perfect location and is great value with everything you need for a base to explore this beautiful city. We decided to spend our money on trips and restaurants rather than a hotel room, so we were looking for a good deal and this little place is a good option. Marina and Irina are on hand before and during the stay for questions and advice. They are there if you need them but leave you in peace to enjoy your break. If you plan to eat out often in the old town (which is highly recommended as there are so many good restaurants) then this flat works very well. We loved the ease of walking home after a meal or drinks and within minutes we were back in the apartment. Quiet, safe, clean, convenient, easy to get to from airport, helpful owners and excellent value.. it’s perfect!!!

I can't say enough good about Marina and this place. It is charming, perfectly located, quiet and just the right accommodation for a couple or someone looking to see Dubrovnik easily. It is right next to grocery stores, swimming spots and the main attractions in old town. It is clean, the host is friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for more. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I return to Dubrovnik, which is more likely due to this find.

Lovely apartment. Irina couldn't have been more helpful. She booked a cab back to the airport which was far cheaper than the outgoing one. Apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean. And what a position, a couple mins walk from the Pile Gate and walk round the back to a bar with a wonderful view (Blackwater Bay in GOT)... Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

The apartment proximity to the Old Town is great. The apartment itself is fantastic and Marina and her daughter Irina cannot do enough for you to make your stay perfect. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We are already planning our return visit in May. Cannot fault it.
