Great home away from home for a holiday trip. Everything you'd need (it was never cold enough to use the fire) in an great location. Plenty options for pubs/restaurants within a short walk and close to tram/metro for heading further afield. Excellent communication with owner prior to arrival.

Moderately sized apartment in average location. Apart from a gassy smell from bathroom the apartment was overall satisfactory and an ideal complement to a short visit to Budapest.

Due to changes in our itinerary, we had to change our dates. Vadim was very helpful with this and met us at the apartment upon our arrival, explained everything in good detail and made sure we were set before leaving. The apartment itself was really large and gave our young son a chance to stretch his legs out with runs from the bedroom all the way to the kitchen. Though it did get hot in Budapest for a couple of days we stayed, leaving the windows created a nice through-draft and it never got too warm in the apartment itself. Extras in the area: good playground right across the street, large supermarket a couple of blocks away and public transit (trams, buses) all within just a few minutes walking distance. All in all, great apartment!

Sono stata in questa abitazione per il periodo di Capodanno. Comoda, pulita e spaziosa. I divani letto non erano il massimo ma per 5 notti si può fare. Comoda per raggiungere i punti di interesse della città. Il proprietario disponibile e ha risposto sempre molto velocemente. Consiglio.

Vadim great host, good communication on leading up to visit, very informative. Apartment good location, short walk to Hero square and Keleti train station. Spacious apartment with large main bedroom, well equipt kitchen and shower room. Can accommodate 8, but comfortable with less with lounge / dining area giving resting place. Would recommend to friends and use again. Great location for supermarket and a tasty chinese takeaway at the end of the street.

Our first time in Budapest and this apartment was located so perfectly! Vadim provided us a beautiful apartment and helped us so that we could see all the wonderful sights in Budapest! The location is centrally located within walking distance of EVERYTHING! There were 6 of us and we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay immensely!!

Apartments in old real Budapest house, not in touristic place. Here you can watch and see how real budapest lives. Bakery on the corner, small shops with fruits & wine and some other local things. Place was amazingly big rooms and comfortable kitchenette with all necessary equipment. Owner of this place, Vadim, came to Budapest about 10 years ago, so they very helpful in terms not only what locals want, but what real tourist explorer need. Really like this place, hope to came back

We just returned from Budapest and loved our time exploring the city and enjoying the comforts of Fireplace Holidays! Vladim was a great host, taking his time explaining the apartment and surrounding area to us, giving us great tips for things to do with kids (trampolines in near-by City Park!). The apartment was spacious, very clean, and in a great location; about 15 min walk from City Park that contains the zoo, circus, a duck pond, szechenyi baths, and Hero's Square and about 15 min walk towards the river and Parliament. The apartment is down the street from a Spar grocery store, about 5 min from 2 subway stops, and borders a square with a playground, and another one about 5 min walk distance. Totally recommend this welcoming place!

If you're thinking of staying in Budapest with some friends on a self catering holiday then this is the ideal option. Its a short walk to anywhere of interest and very close to the tram lines and Metro. There's a bakery, deli and supermarket just across the road for breakfast. I would really recommend some of the local Ruin Bars. Corvin Teto and Instant are great for a dance and Szimpla is one of the nicest bars i've been to. All of which are very local. The flat very easily accomodated for three of us but I'd imagine you could comfortably get 6 people in (if you dont mind sharing double beds). It was everything we needed - warm, comfortable, plenty of hot water and a good kitchen complete with all necessities. Vadim (out host) was VERY helpful throughout, from showing us hot spots on the map to organising a Taxi to the airport for us. All in all this was an amazing holiday made infinitely better by this great (and money saving) apartment.

The apartment was beautiful and well equipped. The location of the apartment is good, in the centre of town with easy access to public transport, restaurants, shopping, entertainment and sights. The kitchen is well equipped and everything worked great! We truly enjoyed every minute of our time in Budapest. Sometimes the pictures on the website can over-state what the apartments actually look like, but the apartment in Budapest was even better than I expected it to be! The building itself is an old Hungarian building with an interior courtyard, but the actual apartment is modern. Vadim is lovely and so helpful and provided a very good service, host was incredibly understanding when we had changes in our schedule and he took the time to make sure everything was OK. I just adore this apartment and would absolutely stay here again, only wish I could have stayed longer!
