In fact one could say it has the best of both worlds!  A scenic 15km drive from the house brings us to the ancient coastal village of Sant Martí d’Empúries, home to a sprinkling of beautiful sandy coves which stretch from the original Greek stone harbour wall (VI BC) to the remains of the Greco-Roman town of Empuries (II AD).
