This pretty, rustic, cosy, well presented cottage is located about a mile up the mountain from the village of Los Ramones, so a car is essential. Everything we needed for a self contained fortnight stay in winter was provided: lots of heating when we arrived but had to turn it off because the weather was fabulous throughout our stay. It really was one of the most well equipped holiday home we have stayed in. The garden was totally secure which was perfect for our dog and he loved playing with the owners dogs and lots of space to run. The owners live up the track from the cottage and Paul was so kind and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We loved staying here, it was so comfortable and met our need to rest and recuperate in a secluded in such a spectacular, natural environment. Highly recommended!

Wat een fijn welkom van eigeaar paul. Echt een top huis en van alles aanwezig. De uitzichten zijn prachtig. De weg ernaar toe was de 1e keer best spannend. Maar dat wend snel. Zeker een aanrader.

Absolutely stunning views of the mountains, whitewashed villages, valleys and the coast! The villa is beautiful and provides everything you need to ensure a relaxing stay, with a pool to cool you down on the very hot days!. The owners Paul and Gabrielle are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them - Paul even took me for a beer (or two) down to Los Romanes on one of his quadbikes, the views from the back of the bike really are stunning - next time we are going on a quadbike safari of the area around Lake Vinuela. Los Romanes has a couple of fantastic restaurants, shops, bars and a hotel. The villa is also the perfect base for seeing other parts of Andalucia. One of our best holidays ever, Thanks Paul, Gabrielle and family and the dogs.....

Dear Paul and Gabriella, If I could award more than 5 stars, I would.This was exacly what I wanted.I found the villa immaculte and catered for all my needs. I expected the pool to be a little chilly, but still used it. After having a hectic year of working non stop, I deserved this break. The restaurant in the village " el charco" was exeptional and also I had the facilities to cook at home, I choose the easier option- not lazy honest............ The views were fantastic (understatement) and as I told you next time I will bring my husband. As we discussed Paul- we will be booking next year- maybe 14 days to give us more time to explore. and will remind you of our "frequent guests" discount. I really enjoyed the BBQ- tank you again! The villa is in a location with terrific Views, ideal I would think if you were a walker.The villa is certainly secure as the owners have a very large very friendly dog who approaches every new arrival.The villa is about 2 mile from the village up the steep and not to wide country tracks rather than roads as I would describe them.The villa is in need of update and maintenance, and a shortage of any external sun loungers or recliners,which was a chew as we went to Spain in part to sunbathe. There seemed to be dog kennels about 100 yards away which can get noisy.

If like us you like to be in the countryside and far from the maddening crowds this could be the place for you. Delightful spacious 1 bed property with all mod cons & with well equipped kitchen should you like to cook, it is pretty much home away home making for a comfortable stay, we couldn’t fault it. We found it to be a 6 min drive from the meeting place, venta el charco, 5 of which are off the beaten track on a good surface, we had a little fiat 500 which managed fine. We ate out every lunch in the many local eateries which offer fantastic food, to retire at the villa and chill for the rest of the afternoon. You will hear dogs barking but for the most part it is so very peaceful. The view of the surrounding countryside is never ending, with everything pretty much spread out below you. We particularly enjoyed watching all the little villages and towns light up at night and spent every night on the terrace with a good supply of wine star gazing. We did our main shop at Torre del Mar where there are the big supermarkets, and topped up at the two smaller ones in Los Romanes. A big thanks to Paul for getting in a few supplies as we arrived quite late & to Gabrielle for showing us the way back into the town on our first day. They were on hand if required, communication faultless throughout with respect for our privacy. In all a totally relaxing chilled out holiday bliss! J&G

My husband and I have had a fabulous stay at villa verman. Paul and Gabrielle were on hand if we needed anything and equally respected our privacy. Paul was extremely helpful beforehand over email which meant we relaxed the second we got there. The villa is lovey. My husband is in a wheelchair and it was perfect for our needs. Totally accessibl with a wet room type shower, no steps anywhere and thoughtfully done. The views are lovely and we enjoyed whiling away many an hour having a beer and taking in the vista. The local village has everything you could want and there are bigger shops nearby too for a larger shop. The restaurant, venta el charco is superb. Great quality food and good service. We can't fault the villa and our stay. It's been perfect. Thanks Paul and Gabrielle

diese unterkunft war etwas mehr als wir erwartet hatten.hier konnte man sich wirklich wie daheim fühlen.alle erforderlichen küchenutensilien zur selbstversorgung waren vorhanden und natürlich auch intakt. die ruhige lage des ferienhauses in einer höhe von ca.635 m mit einer fernsicht zum meer und sonne von früh bis spät (im dezember) auf die herrliche terasse war für uns wunderbar. da das haus erst seit etwa einem jahr vermietet wird, ist es noch ein geheimtipp. auf grund unserer rundreise waren wir leider nur 8 tage dort, man kann es auch als langzeiturlaub empfehlen. der pool war kurz vor der fertigstellung. SEHR EMPFEHLENSWERT!
