We stayed at the property for a week and found it to be peaceful well kept with plenty of room. There is a canoe that can be used on the lake for the adventurous. The drive way down to the house is quite steep and care needs to be taken when driving down it. The owner is very helpful and is easy to contract. Overall it is a very nice house for a stay in Rotorua.

We stayed here November 2019, with 2 children and 4 adults, there was so much room with an expansive kitchen, two living areas, dining room and two bathrooms. It was so spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The spa was beautiful, it is situated just outside the dining room door. Lovely to sit in at night with a drink. The large room with all the DVDs and Netflix was great to relax in. The frount deck area has a BBQ and nice outdoor setting to sit having dinner overlooking the lake. The laundry was good, with a washer and dryer, heaps of towels available and ample bedding. There were canoes and a tinny that could be used on the lake, our kids loved this, life jackets and oars/paddles were also provided for use up in the shed, although the lake is not deep at all; around waist level right the way across. The gardens here were so beautiful, so many flowers, and these huge bees, which were quite different to the ones we see in Australia. There were toys for the kids, and literally everything you could think of was in the shed and secure carport (clothes horse, buckets, all sorts of things). If I were to be nit-picky, the bathrooms could do with an update soon - although the hot water was great - and although the beds were comfortable, the queen mattress in the frount room could do with replacing soon as it has indents in each side that you fall into- small things though. Overall a great stay, we loved it.

Such a lovely home away from home. Perfect for my large family annual Easter holiday. Thank you Kerry for your lovely home. So much to do and the amenities are endless. The highlights for the kids are the Kayaks in the beautiful Lake Rotorua. Lovely well maintain garden, native trees and bushes. We all had a relaxing stay.

Thank you Kerry, We were a mixed group and the sleeping arrangements were perfect to accomodate us all. The 10 runners were over the moon upon arriving. They were out kayaking on the lake, relaxing in your beautiful gardens, and easing away aches and pains in the spa. Haing two lounges really worked out perfectly for such a large group. This house has plenty of space and is well equipped with everything you could possibly need including over 1000 DVDs. The location with lake frontage is magical and the gardens are superb. It was lovely to meet our host Kerry who met us on arrival and informed us of everything we needed to know about the property. The house is clean and tidy but does lack the female touch and could use a bit of TLC in the bathrooms. (I'm very fussy) Despite this minor gripe our group of 4 adults enjoyed our time at The Willows and would be happy to return some day.

Five adults, one toddler and a baby stayed in the house for a week. The two lounge areas allowed for we grandparents to escape for some quiet time. The great kitchen that overlooked the lake made cooking dinner a delight. We appreciated the BBQ and the spa. A nice touch is the grocery items that are left in the pantry by previous tenants. There were spices, curry powders, oils, flours, custard powder, rice, pasta, sugar, tea, coffee and lots more. Kerry, the owner, checked that all was well with our stay but certainly was not intrusive. We have already recommended Lakes Edge to friends and family.

there were three of us, stopping in rotorua for a couple of nights on a slow drive from auckland to wellington. the willows more than accommodated our needs. the house itself is huge and would be the perfect spot for a family or even families. there's two large living areas, a dining area off the large kitchen and bedrooms aplenty. there's also an additional self-contained large flat above the garage which could accommodate a third family if needed. we spent one night in and cooked in the kitchen and it served our needs excellently. there's a large 56" tele in a living room with possibly the largest DVD collection you've ever seen. you can chill out in the hot tub on the back deck or sit on the front deck and take in the views over the lake. the view across the lake is towards rotorua and you get a great aspect of the steam clouds rising up in various pockets. you'll need a car if you're staying here and it's a short five minute drive into rotorua. being out of town though means it is whisper quiet at night, which is ideal for ensuring a great nights' sleep. the house has central heating which was welcomed by us and would no doubt be essential in winter. kerry really has thought of everything with the willows and you will not be disappointed.

It was a fabulous place for families with children, by the lake. Our grandchildren had a great time.the kitchen was great, it was new. The bathroom was a bit dated. We would stay there again with family. The DVDs collection was huge. The view of the lake was lovely especially the sun rise.

Kerry thanks for a great stay. What a place. Kids loved the DVD selection. Plenty of room for our group of 8. Great location and easy access to north and south roads. Would we ever stay here again. YES. I wouldn't ever bother looking for anywhere else. Thanks Again.
