Una villa comodissima, spaziosa (8 letti), ben arredata, silenziosa e con una piscina fantastica
Villa Colognola è in un villaggio (Colognola frazione di Piazza al Serchio, LU) che conosco da sempre e dove vado in villeggiatura da anni. Le gite che si possono fare da là sono tante: le Apuane, il lago di Gramolazzo, l'Orecchiella, i boschi con ristoranti favolosi, villaggi medievali autentici e ben tenuti da scoprire, sagre gastronomiche e feste. Anche se la Villa Colognola è talmente comoda e piacevole che ci si può passare una bellissima vacanza anche senza muoversi...

What a gem! 5 stars
Fantastic stay. Great villa everything as per your description. Wonderful swimmingpool, 4 great bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you need. The nearby mountains are great for a hike of varying degrees of difficulty. We enjoyed days out to Lucca, Florence and Cinque Terre the local train station is a great option if you don’t fancy driving. If you are looking for peace & relaxation with the easy option for day trips this is the place to stay

Tuscany at it's best
Beautiful spacious house with an amazing pool
The house was ideal for our large family, we have teenagers so the lounge downstairs allowed us to all have our own space. Set in a beautiful part of Tuscany, having travelled to many parts of Italy I can honestly say this really does deliver on the true Tuscan Retreat away from it all. Piazza Al Serchio has a number of really good Pizza places and restaurants and don’t miss the market on a Tuesday. Train service is great to get to Lucca and Florence too.

Good value house and great area.
Great pool and comfortable well equipped house - equipped for living as opposed to luxury. It worked for us as a adults and kids group of 9, but layout isn't ideal with kitchen up narrow stairs from our preferred poolside eating area. Top floor room can be very hot. Local eating, drinking and activities great value compared to other parts of Tuscany, but too far and dangerous walk to local town. Very narrow and steep drive unsuitable for wider cars.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are glad you enjoyed the house and the area. We agree, prices are fantastic for eating out and the food is good quality... Re the layout, the owners are putting a second fridge in for next year which will be on the same level as the second eating out area, so there will now be facilities beside both zones.

Mooie woning, in rustige omgeving
Heerlijke vakantie in een authentieke omgeving. Mooi zwembad, zeer ruime kamers, enig minpuntje is dat de keuken op een ander verdiep ligt dan de tuin en het zwembad. Het zou aangenaam zijn als er een frigo in de zitruimte aanwezig is.
Voor de rest heerlijk terras om 's morgens te ontbijten, en eentje voor in de namiddag en 's avonds.
In het naburige dorpje is er een warenhuis en een echte bakker aanwezig. Hier zijn er ook meerdere restaurants en pizzeria's.
Toscanië op zijn best !!

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We are really glad you enjoyed this beautiful property and the stunning surrounding area! The owner will consider your idea of putting an extra fridge in on the ground floor - thank you for this suggestion. In the meantime, for the benefit of future guests there is an outddoor eating area on the same level as the kitchen even though one has to go downstairs to the second al fresco dining option close to the pool. Thanks again!
