Wonderful tropical secluded hideaway in fab location
We had 5 nights in this fantastic apartment/villa. 3 really good sized and airy bedrooms, a spacious kitchen-living area (mosquito screens over all the Windows which was a boon), huge terrace, large pool - all very nicely decorated and furnished throughout and very clean and tidy with so many lovely places to sit.All situated in lush and very well kept garden -stunning. Perfect! Our hosts Kathryn and Hillroy couldn't have been nicer - so very welcoming and helpful. Hillroy took us to the local supermarket and helped us with every question and Kathryn booked our boat trip and could have organised a car as well -probably cheaper than the one we'd already booked from home. Having a car is a help - just 10 mins drive to the charming, small local feeling Laborie. Just 30 minutes drive from Pitons, old plantations, botanical gardens, waterfalls and lots more. Highly recommended!

Home away from home
We spent two wonderful weeks in the Palm View Villa and the region of South St. Lucia, the more relaxed and less crowded, local area which we have chosen for our special holidays.
The well equipped and spacious appartment, the beautiful terasse with its view overlooking tropical nature and the "paradise" pool, were the perfect home away from home. Hilroy and Kathryn were always ready to give us tips and recommendations about what we needed to know and we highly appreciate the friendliness of our hosts.
We enjoyed every single day of our stay in St. Lucia and are thankful for our time beeing there.

Would love to be back!!
Kathryn and Hilroy could not have been more helpful from our last minute booking to arranging transport after our weeks stay at this beautiful home. They really had thought of everything such attention to detail to ensure we had the best time in this part of St Lucia. Big thanks to them both, a trip we will never forget. And thanks to Norbert (Nobby) for introducing us to some real cultural experiences of the locals. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to this beautiful island, we miss it!!

Sehr hübsch, günstig gelegen, nette Leute
Tolle EG-Wohnung mit 3 vollen Schlafzimmern. Drüber wohnen die Besitzer Hilroy und Catherine. Super schöne Terrasse mit Blick in traumhaften Garten. Privater Pool unter Palmen - paradiesisch! Auf Wunsch kann man sich vom Hafen (Fähre nach Martinique) oder Flughafen abholen lassen oder ein Auto mieten. Die beiden sind ganz nette Leute, die einem bereitwillig Tipps geben für Ausflüge, Strände oder was-auch-immer. Nicht wundern, wann man zum abendlichen Barbecue eingeladen wird.
Jederzeit wieder gerne!

Excellent séjour
Nous avons eu un accueil exceptionnel de la part de Hillroy et Kathryn. Hillroy nous a consacré 2 heures pour nous montrer les alentours : supermarché, banque, plages, station essence, restaurants, bars, sites touristiques... et nous expliquer la culture ste lucienne. Chaque jour, nous avions de petits conseils sur les visites que nous avions programmées et surtout le chemin à prendre. Nous avons adoré la sortie en catamaran qu'ils nous ont conseillée et réservée pour nous. Encore 1000 mercis à eux !
La maison est grande, propre et confortable, mais si vous êtes un cordon bleu, vous pourriez être déçus par les équipements de la cuisine.
La piscine est un plus appréciable dans un écrin de verdure.

Blissful, peaceful, beautiful property and location
Just a short car journey from the airport down in the south of the island we found our perfect holiday home. For the first week of our first ever trip to the Caribbean we had been on a resort up in the north for our daughter's wedding, but rather than stay on a resort (as nice as it was) we felt we would like a change for our second week and to be in the real St Lucia. Searching the net this was the one I kept coming back to - the photos with all the lush vegetation being one of the main things that drew me in - and yes, it is every bit and more as wonderful as the photos look!
The owners Kathryn and Hillroy are very welcoming (as indeed all the islanders seem to be) - extremely helpful and always on hand to ask for advice, but never intrusive. Our first evening we arrived a bit too late to do any shopping but Hillroy whisked us off to show us around and to pick up our first meal - a lovely Caribbean takeaway in the nearest fishing village of Laborie. Alas we only had US dollars which this little bar did not take, so Hillroy lent us the EC$ (as well as bought us a Piton beer each) so all was well :)
The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. As we had our 2 small grandchildren with us we were pleased to note that our section of the property was secured by a sturdy wooden gate so the kids couldn't escape or get to the pool area alone - so very safe.
As we only had a week and had to work around kids' afternoon naps we only managed a few trips (La Tille Falls, Diamond Falls, Laborie Beach, Mango Tree restaurant and The Reef bar) but the pool is so lovely it was just really nice to chill out and relax on the property - we didn't really feel we needed to be anywhere else.
Evening time was magical - after the kids had gone to bed the pool and vegetation area below is discretely and artistically illuminated and we would sit out on the verandah overlooking all of this while enjoying barbecue and drinks with just the croaking frogs and buzz of insects in the background. It truly felt like we were in the middle of the rainforest.
Will we be returning? You bet - there is so much more to see than we had time for and the perfect excuse to meet our new friends Kathryn and Hillroy and their friendly dogs again.

very good cottage by the nature.
The good activities in the nature are very very close: Piton mountains, waterfalls, volcano Souffriere, wild nature park.

Just Perfect!
We booked Xmas & New Year & didn't know St Lucia at all but we need not have worried as our host Hilroy picked us up from the airport and took us to a local beach bar and beer in hand explained everything we needed to know from banks, restaurants, beaches, sports equipment, car rental & even took us to the supermarket and explained the best things to buy. We then arrived at a large, clean open apartment with 3 good bedrooms with everything you could need, beautiful gardens, larger than average private pool set amongst palm trees.
Palm View is set in the more natural South of the Island and is within 20 minutes of many of the best activities...you can snorkel off the sides of beaches with beautiful tropical fish, bathe under warm waterfalls & empty cool ones, horse ride on Atlantic Beaches, visit sulphur springs under the live volcano, climb the two Pitons, visit lush plantations and of course enjoy all the usual water sports. There is even a beautiful beach just 5 minutes down the road at Laborie and our hosts showed us the best bars and restaurants at local prices.
Hilroy & Katherine were always on hand but never intrusive, most of the time we felt we had the whole place to ourselves but always there when we needed them for great advice - like having your own private holiday rep! Thank you to you both, it was just what we needed and we will definitely be back.

Brilliant
Just had a ten day stay and I really can't recommend Palm view enough!!! Hillroy and Katherine couldn't do anymore to make our time as good as possible. Even with electric and water cuts they did everything in their power and more to make sure we were ok. Fresh fruit almost daily and the mans a bbq king.
The property itself is well kitted out and clean.the pool is a good size and the terraces are a delight.
If like us you like walking but don't like trotting up main roads then it's perfectly sited.
Basically. If you want to stay in the south of the island away from all the expensive tourist attractions yet near enough if that's what floats your boat then you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for your great review. So unusual to get water or electricity cuts but due to the weather you had both!!! Some members of the party were third time retuners, so palm view villa must tick some boxes. You were the ideal guests, totally undemanding and went out and about every day. Glad you enjoyed your time and will always be welcomed back.

Fabulous
We stayed 9 nights and wished our stay was long. The villa was lovely, 3 great bedrooms and when the TV failed moments before the England World Cup final Hilroy quickly whisked my son down to a local bar to watch the game & brought him drinks!!
Hilroy & Kathryn were great hosts, taking us to the supermarket before our hire car was delivered (we should’ve rented the car from house) and were really helpful booking things and giving us advice.
We’ve been to St Lucia a lot and will definitely stay here again!!
