In the hamlet of Oro which is just above Bellano there is a stretch of the Sentiero del Viandante (the Wayfarer's Way). This is the ancient mule track running north from S. In Bellano, you can also visit the Orrido, a natural gorge carved out by the Pioverna torrent whose waters have modelled gigantic potholes and evocative caverns. You can catch sight of characters, who recall those from Andrea Vitali's books, walking along the alleyways and small piazzas of the medieval buildings and if you peep into the courtyards and entrances of the medieval houses, you can hear old women gossiping.
