Beautiful spacious house with fabulous swimming pool. The location is also good for exploring the island and Sam is a great host.

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und perfekt ausgestattet. Gerade der Wohnbereich ist sehr viel grösser als die Fotos vielleicht vermuten lassen. 2 grosse Glastüren führen zum Poolbereich. Jedes der drei Schlafzimmer hat ein vollständiges Bad. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. In 5 Minuten Weg ist man an den wunderschönen Cliffs für kurze oder lange Spaziergänge. In 20-25 Minuten Fussweg ist man an der Zitadelle von Victoria, die man Abends als Kulisse von der oberen Veranda sieht. Michelle und Sam sorgen sich liebevoll um jedes Detail. Obwohl wir nach Mitternacht ankamen, kam Sam zum Hafen, damit wir das Haus auch sicher finden und es war alles für ein erstes Frühstück da - Danke!

The villa is located in the village of Sannat, it is a very peaceful location. Sam and Michelle’s villa is the BEST I have ever stayed in, the pool is perfect in fact all of it is perfect, the kitchen is well equipped, especially great to have beach towels. Sam and Michelle had left us a welcome pack of ham, wine etc it is a great touch. Sam met us from the ferry even though we were delayed. Gozo is a great place to visit as nothing isn’t really any distance, we hire a car but if you were on a budget you could do buses. We visited most tourist attractions, the Cittadella is definitely worth a visit and only 5 euros to get in extra if you want to go into the cathedral. If you are snorkelling please remember beach shoes essential if you want to swim in the blue hole! Absolute paradise is the pool at the villa a great size, my kids loved it. We cannot praise Sam and Michelle enough for their thoughtfulness and property. Our stay on Gozo was most excellent and the property exceeded our expectations. Not only did Sam meet us off the ferry (even though we were late - plane delays) there was a welcome/breakfast assortment of foodstuffs that was greatly appreciated. To sum up, we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed four nights in this beautiful golden stone house in the village of Sannat - and wished it had been a lot longer! The property has been lovingly and thoughtfully designed. Every detail has been thought of, for comfort and convenience. It is light, spacious,and clean, with beautiful furnishings - a lovely place to relax! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, and also the view from the main balcony, looking out to the Citadel and the hills beyond. We used local buses throughout our stay (the 7 day pass is valid on both Malta and Gozo and extremely good value). There's a bus-stop only a few minutes from the house, with regular, reliable buses into Victoria. From there you can catch buses all over the island - nowhere is very far away. However one of our favourite areas was only 20 minutes' walk from the house: the amazing sea cliffs nearby. The coast path was bordered with flowers and we saw plenty of butterflies too. Our host Sam met us off the ferry and is one of the kindest and friendliest people we have ever met. He "rescued" our transport plans at the end of our stay, with tremendous generosity, putting himself out way beyond what we could ever have expected, so that we could reach home. Sam and Michelle had thoughtfully provided supplies on our arrival, and Sam drove us round to point out shops, the bus-stop and lots of other useful local facilities. We found people in Sannat very friendly and welcoming. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended. If we could give it SIX stars, we would! Thank you so much, Sam and Michelle. We had a great time at Ta Berta house. Is a very beautiful traditional house,with a big pool.The house has 2 floors ,upstairs there is a spacious terrace with a magnificent view of the Citadella.The town is very quiet and it has a beautiful church next to 3 restaurant where you can eat quality and cheap food. In the morning when you hear the sound of the car you should know that is a car with fresh fish for sell.We felt like we were in our old friends house even if we didn t know them because Sam and his wife were wonderful hosts.

Sam y Michelle son unos excelentes anfitriones. Sam nos recogió en la estación de ferry y nos acercó a comprar comida. Además nos indicó tiendas y sitios para comer y hacer otras compras. La casa está super limpia y es ideal para una vacaciones relajantes. La piscina espectacular. Sin palabras. La zona es perfecta para desconectar de todo. Recomiendo reservar tus vacaciones en Ta Berta por que no os arrepentiréis. Sam también nos acerco en el ferry para volver. Muchas gracias por el trato recibido, ha sido espectacular.

Villa was beautiful more than expected, sam and michelle were great and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, nothing was too much trouble. The villa had everything you would need was very spacious and the kids loved the pool. There was a lovely balcony we could sit at in the evening watching the fireworks over Gozo and the beautiful lights in the towns and the Citedal was beautifully lit up at night. We had a really relaxing week, thank you sam and michelle for the use of your beautiful villa.

We enjoyed our time in Sannat, as all reviews say - Sam and Michelle were very helpful and kind. The villa spacious and well equipped, lots of towels and decent linen. The welcome touches were welcome, and local knowledge useful. Sannat is quiet but with a few bars and a couple of small supermarkets all your needs are catered for. Gozo has some fab places to visit and nowhere is too far. You have to do some research to find places off the beaten track and away from all the tourists, but they are there (that's what we like) and worth making the effort. The pool was lovely, adult 'children' enjoyed film watching with the TV, playing music and using the WiFi. We cooked in but also ate out at various places/villages. Do eat at the local football bar, excellent food and reasonable prices, always seems busy. The villa is across the road from a 'pigeon fancier', we watched him let the birds exercise in the evenings - so beware if you have a thing about birds as there are quite a few! We had a lovely relaxing holiday, stayed in swimming and reading, or drove around Gozo sightseeing and having lunches. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we needed no more.

My family and I spent a delightful five nights in Berta. Originally we had planned to go for day trips around Malta, but found sunbathing and swimming in the pool far more appealing! Sam and Michelle greeted us with such warmth and hospitality, making our trip truly special. My family and I have made some wonderful memories here that we will forever cherish.
