This lovely, stone semi-detached house dates back to 1790 and is in a wonderful position overlooking the Harbour with spectacular sea views. The house is refurbished yet retains charming original features including beamed ceilings and open fireplaces. The 'cottage style' lounge, dining room and bedrooms all have stunning sea views and are comfortably furnished in traditional style. A beautiful new rear extension offers a modern Kitchen and Breakfast room with French doors to the patio. A 3rd garden bedroom again offers French doors to the patio and lovely views of the garden. A stunning new Wetroom completes the latest additions to the property. The lovely enclosed organic garden has a lawn, and borders, garden furniture and barbecue. An allowance of £30 for Heating and electric costs is automatically included in the booking price together with a starter skuttle of coal and wood.
Over and above this a basic heating charge is added at 14p per kWh for daytime "Heatwise", (ordinary electric radiators, etc). and 8p per kWh on the overnight storage heaters.
Meter readings will be on display on your arrival and taken on your departure. You can monitor these at any time.
Any monies owed will be deducted from the damage deposit.
The Isle of Whithorn is a small picturesque harbour town with fabulous views all around. The village offers spectacular walks within 3 minutes of the house. There is a lottery funded cafe, offering breakfasts and lunches which also sells a small selection of food items including bread, milk and newspapers. A fish van visits the Isle once a week at tea time and blows its horn to announce itself! <BR><BR>Whithorn itself, a 5 minute drive away, also has a wider range of food provision shops and other outlets such as cafes, gift shops and a chemist. As does Wigtown which is well worth a visit.<BR> and is the famous booktown with its many bookshops and Festival.
