Hop Cottage is our beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage with private gardens and Hot Tub located on our small organic farm a stay here provides is an oasis of peace and tranquility in the heart of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are surrounded by fields, ancient woodlands and wildlife. Our cottage is ideal for getting together with friends, families (with kids), and anyone who just needs to unwind. The Hot tub is exclusive.

Don't think you could improve on anything
Hop cottage felt like home from home from the moment we arrived, Nigel and Wendy were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Everything about the cottage is excellent, spacious , modern and comfortable. Our grandson loved feeding the horses and was very safe playing in the private garden.

wonderful stay, enjoy by us all.
We all had a great stay at Hop Cottage.The property overall was great, clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The outside area was a great for our young children to explore and play in. The added bonus of beautiful sunshine completed our holiday.

Wonderful spot of Kent!
We were 4 persons: my parents, wife and me.
Before getting there, I received from Nigel (the owner of the cottage) a full detailed documentation about the area, places to visit, places to eat out, a shopping list with prices, and detailed information on how to get to the cottage. I told Nigel the time of my arrival by mail the day before the departure from Italy, and again on the landing in Luton (but probably he never received that text message because I was wrong with the prefix of the phone number). Nigel and wife welcomed us and so did Monti and Dylan, two very, very, very, lucky dogs consuming their legs running as crazy horses back and forth in the endless prairie... by the way... there are also real horses, many birds, squirrels and wild rabbits (one of the rabbits lives just at the first corner after the entrance gate), and fishes in the swimming lake very close to the cottage.
Very big, nice, conservatory.
You cannot miss it if you love being in touch with the nature and/or relax.
No problem for vegetarians like my wife and me: everywhere you can have meals for carnivores :-) and vegetarians. (I enjoyed the "The George Inn" very much).
Summarizing: wonderful place, wonderful cottage, nice owners
What else to say... you must see by yourself.

Relaxing and highly interesting stay in the heart of Kent
Our vacation at the Hop Cottage Landews Meadow in October 2012 started with a nice hallo by Wendy and Nigel. We entered the lovely equipped wonderful cottage. A tasty cake was standing on the dining room table.
The situation of the house could not have been better. The surroundings were first-class and we have enjoyed a nice rest which never would have been equal relaxing at our home.
Already at the evening of our arrival day we went to Canterbury and strolled through the snug lanes and enjoyed the impressions. We later also visited the cathedral. This is really a very impressive building together with all its history. If you travel around in Kent, it is to be recommended to visit the Historic Dock Yards. We could view a submarine, a warship, the shipyard were the Victory, Nelsons ship, was built and the historic ropery. Honestly the guide at the ropery was really extraordinary.
We have gone to see a lot from south east England. To walk about the White Cliffs of Dover was exciting and thrilling.
If you are in Kent do not forget to visit Leeds Castle a nicer castle than this, nobody of us had ever seen before.
We have visited many places; we purchased at Sainsbury's and strolled through the wide area of the Outlet Center of Ashford.
Nevertheless, a highlight was the ride with Teddy and Jasper. It has given pleasure again to be able to do horse riding and even the weather has joined in perfectly. Both horses have properly become dear to us.
Hop Cottage Landews Meadow, located in the heart of Kent is greatly suitable to stay central and reach out exciting targets in short times. Many thanks for everything! The vacation was wonderful, witty, interesting and thrilling.

Relaxing stay in a wonderful cottage
I rented to cottage for 2 nighte before my wedding day, firstly to be closer to me venue and secondly to relax with my bridesmaids for a few nights.
What a beautiful cottage it was! Plenty of space for 6 females to get ready for a wedding, and no arguments over the bathrooms as there was 3. A very well equipped kitchen meant that we could cook whatever we liked. The Wii was a nice surprise too for our evening in.
The location was perfect, very quiet and tranquil, with views across the downs and shops just a short drive away so that you didn't feel cut off.
The owners were very nice, very quick to respond to emails and also very nice when they greeted me at the cottage. Their chickens were also very friendly and paid us a visit once or twice!

A fantastic first meeting with the Garden of England
A superb cottage in the middle of meadows, forests, towns, castles,....
Everything you need is there in the cottage. There's a foodshop is nearby: the barn shop and in a 15-minute drive you have supermarkets,... Nice towns to vist. Fantastics woods to go walking, biking,...
Even with the bad weather ( snow, rain) there's plenty to do.
Chatham Dockyards is fantastic to vist for all ages.
Next year we'll surely go back.
Very friendly owners. We would recommend to everybody!
Nigel sends loads of informations by mail whiwh is very helpfull to plan your trip.

une belle maison dans un beau paysage
Nous sommes partis à 4 adultes et 4 enfants dont un bébé.
The property is very cute: lot of flowers, the garden is very well-kept. It's possible to eat outside ( garden furniture, barbecue). La maison est située en pleine nature, on peut voir beaucoup d'animaux : chevaux, faisans, canards...). La location est très bien équipée (four, four à micro-onde, lave-vaiselle, il n'est pas nécessaire d'emmener ses draps et ses serviettes de bain. Une prise Iphone bien pratique quand on est français à cause des prises! Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Avant de partir, ils nous ont envoyé un mail avec toutes les visites à faire ainsi qu'une description détaillée de la route. La location est très bien située: à 20 minutes de Canterbury, à 20 minutes de Leeds Castle (le plus château du monde !)
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour !

La casa rural mas bonita y acogedora que nunca has visto
La mejor casa rural que nunca he estado.
El entorno espectacular de la campiña de Kent, la casa amplia y acogedora, los dueños simpaticos y muy amables, el jardin espectacular con mesa de pingpong, barbacoa, mesas..., el lago con nenufares de cuento de hadas. Ubicada en una lugar ideal para excursiones al castillo de Leeds, la catedral de Canterbury, los acantilados de Dover, las playas de Hastings... muy bien comunicado con Londres con trenes cada media hora. Un lujo de vacaciones con una excelente relacion calidad/precio. Muy recomendable para familias con niños.

FANTASTIC!!!
We could not find any fault with the cottage, everything was there and we want to say Wendy & Nigel so helpful and thankyou fo a lovely weekend. Us busy mums came back totally relaxed and we felt like it was our own home! so chilled out.
We will definitelt be going back for another stay.
