Fantastic house and location
Had a brilliant half term break at this amazing property with three generations of our family. We were met on arrival by the owner who made sure we had everything we needed. The house is spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The setting is spectacular and we enjoyed time relaxing and admiring the stunning views. The property is a good base for exploring the area - we visited Glenariff waterfalls, the Cushendun caves and the cliff walk above Cushendall - all within a ten minute drive. Also there is a supermarket and takeaway 2 mins away in Waterfoot. Would definitely recommend Applewood Heights and would love to visit again sometime.

We had a wonderful stay in Alasdair’s house over the August bank holiday where we used the house as a base to explore the north coast. The house itself is huge and the beds are so comfortable! Everything was spotless and well organised. Loads of crockery and pots/pans etc- everything you would need! There was also some food and drinks set out for us which was v kind and a welcome touch. Alasdair couldn’t have been more helpful - he took time from his Friday evening to meet us at the house after our flights had been delayed (kept him up post midnight!) which we were v grateful for and he organised a taxi for us last minute (as a tip, we would suggest you ask him for taxi details when you arrive because there aren’t many/any in the local village). There was a small problem with the heating which meant we didn’t all have hot water but, as it was summertime, it wasn’t too cold and many of the showers are electric so we weren’t really impacted too much. Alasdair was really quick to respond to our questions about the heating and helpful as always. Thank you Alasdair!

Spacious family accommodation with beautiful views
Applewood Heights is a very spacious house with wonderful views across the glen. Just a short drive (one mile) to the local beach and the beautiful Antrim Coast. There are restaurants at Cushendall, a picturesque coastal village just two miles away. We visited the Giant's Causeway, Belfast Castle and the "Dark Hedges", walked one of the many trails through Glenariffe Forest, and the children enjoyed the local beaches. We would have liked to have explored Carrickfergus Fort but ran out of time. It happened to be the Cushendall festival week while we were there, which was a bonus. Our family of eight (three generations) thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Bedrooms were ensuite and were very large, and most importantly, the beds were very comfortable! Re parking, we hired three cars and there was ample room for more. Alasdair gave us a big welcome on our arrival and actually prepared tea and biscuits for us all - something we have never experienced before. There was fruit and various groceries to hand - we had arrived by plane from England and this was much appreciated after a tiring journey. Our holiday was only for one week but we all wished we could have stayed longer. I would thoroughly recommend Applewood Heights to anyone wishing to explore the Antrim Coast and all its treasures.

That view!
Great family break away! This house met all our needs. It was very spacious and had the most magnificent view. Every bedroom in the house comes with an ensuite. In the main bathroom there is a jacuzzi bath, the kids loved it!

Spacious accommodation, Great Location
We used this as a base to visit the treasures of the Northern Coast, Giants Causeway, Carrick a Rede, Dunluce and Kinbane Castles to name a few. The Glenariffe Forest Park and waterfalls are spectacular and really close by. All rooms having ensuite facilities is a great bonus. There is still some work to be done on the house but Alasdair made us very welcome, especially accommodating our arrival outside of normal hours - thank you. We will look at booking again next year.

The Best New Year Ever!!
We stayed in this amazing house in the most stunning of locations for New Year Celebrations with friends. The owner Alasdair was extremely welcoming and helpful. The house was very well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay! The group we were with were a mixture of adults and children and I can honestly say we all loved the house and have wonderful memories that we all cherish xxxx we will definitely be back

Excellent place to stay
Very well position house on the glen hillside with stunning views. All rooms large with ensuite bathrooms Alisdair the owner went the extra to ensure all was right for our stay

Home away from home!
Alasdair was a wonderful host, I felt like I was visiting family! He made special accommodations to fit my family of twelve's sleeping needs. The home and bedrooms are spacious with a bathroom in each room. The home is equipped with everything you could possible need and an incredible view with lambs baaing you to sleep! You are 5 minutes from the heart of Cushendall, a quaint town with several pubs, shops and grocery. I would highly recommend this home, it won't disappoint!

Great spacious property for families to stay
Great host alister who welcomed us nad made sure we were settled before he left. The property was perfect for our needs as a family with space for living eating and sleeping. The bedrooms and en suite bathrooms were perfect for family and friends. Really handy location for us only 2 miles from cushendal. The views of the glen was really a bonus Northern Ireland hospitality and accommodation at its best. Th owner is still working on the property inside and out but it's one of the best properties we have stayed at in that area we would highly recommend a stay here!
