I also went for my 50th... we had a great time and were very well looked after by the owners- they couldn’t have been more helpful. They sorted us out with renting a car and booking a great catamaran trip, which was really useful.
The apartment was very clean and there were no problems at all with it. The bed was very comfortable.
The beach right outside is very beautiful (lovely sand and very unspoilt), and we had it to ourselves pretty much - although some of the other beaches might better for swimming as the waves can be a bit lively - the kite surfers were having a great time though!
The local bar, Surfers Bay, (about 1 minute walk) was fun and the food was good, and there are a couple of local shops you can walk to to get supplies. You can also get the Van into town for $2.
We took up the offer of airport transfer and this went very smoothly.
Wifi was reliable.
I did not get any mosquito bites at all (and I usually do!), as there was a breeze coming in off the sea. You get a nice outside area where you can sit in the shade and look at the sea with your rum 🥃
Highly recommend!!

Wow can’t wait to go back
Our holiday to Back rbados was a very special treat also to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were greeted by the lovely Stephano and his wife Isabella on out arrived. Our taxi had also been organised for us which included a guided tour round the supermarket to get everything we might need. The gardens were blooming with stunning flowers and was all very well kept. There were wooden stairs leading up to the apartment where it sat with its own balcony and table so we could sit outside and listen to the sea as it was also right on our doorstep. The area was very quite, not touristy, maybe slightly remote for some but nowhere is far and we much preferred it that way. If you didn’t want to walk to the closet town you could get a bus or a taxi as they were abundant. The apartment was light and airy with ceiling fans in both rooms. Air conditioning was available. It was nicely decorated and very colourful and had just about everything you needed. The floors were tiled and the windows all had net screens. There was plenty of room with a sofa bed in the kitchen dining are and a huge double bedroom which was very comfy with lovely crisp cotton linen which was changed regularly for us along with the towels. For us it was perfect, the beaches were just a stones throw away and very quiet in hurricane season. We stayed for three weeks and did not want to leave. It was perfect. I would very much love to go back and hope that one day we may be able to return.

Una festa di colore • 5 *****
Siamo stati a Yellow Bird Apartment nella seconda parte della nostra vacanza e dobbiamo fare i complimenti a Elisabetta per l'ottimo gusto nell'arredamento e nella scelta dei colori, indovinata e veramente uguale alle foto del sito.
L'appartamento è dotato di tutti i comfort, compresa l'aria condizionata, che in certi giorni è stata provvidenziale, pur essendo lo stesso orientato alla brezza dell'oceano,
Grazie per l'ospitalità, ci rivedremo l'anno prossimo, inshallah....

Great place to stay for couple or small family
We had a great time at yellow bird apartment, everything was as described on their web site and Stefano is a very friendly and helpful host. You can see that he loves Barbados and wan'ts to share his enthusiasm with his guests.
The location is excellent, it's easy to get to some very nice beaches, Bridgetown, shops and tourist attractions. If you are into water sports it's all very close.
We have a toddler and is was fine for him but there are stairs to the apartment so next time we'd book the downstairs apartment that has a small garden out front.

Surf em Barbados
Ficamos 2 semanas em Barbados, lugar lindo de gente amistosa e alegre. O apartamento Yellow Bird, da Blue Ocean , que alugamos superou muito as nossas expectativas. É lindo, amplo, arejado, com decoração de muito bom gosto, com deck onde podemos ver as condições do mar. Fica a alguns metros da praia e 10 minutos de alguns dos melhores picos de surf da Ilha (Surfers Point, Freights Bay, South point). A cozinha é completa, com todos os utensílios para o preparar café, almoço e jantar. Os donos Stefano e Elisabetha são muito prestativos e eficientes. Dispõe de espaço para gardar os equipamentos de esporte, pranchas de Surf, Kite etc.. e fica a 2 minutos caminhando do Surfer´s Bay, melhor restaurante da Ilha, no estilo soul surf.. lugar para quem quer relaxar e nao fica distante dos principais points para quem quer curtir a vida noturna também.. Recomendo e com certeza, voltarei!! excelente custo /benefício.

How accommodate the family of a windsurfer
The place has a fabulous logistics for windsurfing and kite. Zero stress if you decide to rent the equipment from Stefano who is very competent and kind. With the taste of Elisabetta Yellow Bird is well furnished with all amenities for cooking and living relax. The relationship between rates and quality of the apartment and the services offered, justifying the excellent feedback.
Recommended for: Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Excellent
I stayed 3 weeks at this beautiful place. The apartement was great and is next to the sea. Some really beautful beaches are around with pure white sand. A rental car is absolutely needed to get to the supermarkets and to other beaches.
Stefano, the guy who rent the apartements is great. Whenever i had questions or something was to arrange, he was there and offered help. A really friendly guy
I can absolutely recommoned this place and would go there again. I really enjoyed my holidays.

Perfect place to stay
We (three persons) stayed at the Yellow Bird apartment in January for two weeks. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need in your vacation. It was beautiful to watch the ocean in the morning while eating on the porch. You are olny few steps away from the next beach and a great bar. It is recommendable to rent a car. Stefano and Elisabetta are very friendly and they always helped us if we had some questions and needs. We can really recommend this apartment and we will surely come back there some time.

Outstanding Barbados accommodations
The apartment far exceeded our expectations! The management was top notch and very helpful. The entire experience was outstanding, from reservations, to arrival and our departure. The view was amazing! The apartment was very spacious, well-equipped and very clean. The location was great, close to several nice beaches and the ocean view was amazing from the porch. I hope to return soon. The south coast is def. a hidden gem in Barbados, truly wonderful! It was quiet and peaceful. Rooms were very open, spacious, great ocean breezes, fantastic hospitality!

Una vacanza meravigliosa...Grazie di esistere yellow bird !
Questa è la mia terza volta in Barbados.Ho soggiornato con moglie e bambina di 10 anni.Posso dire di conoscere gli standard abituali dei cottage e residence appartament di Christ churc.Ma yellow bird è stata una autentica e piacevolissima sorpresa...Appartamento cottage ubicato in una delle zone più belle di Christ churc, vicino alla famosa spiaggia di Silver Sands, metà di Wind surfisti e Kiter. Stefano ed Elisabetta gestori italiani, gentilissimi, ospitali, e sempre prodighi di consigli ed informazioni sui luoghi da visitare.Pronti a soddisfare le vostre necessità. L'appartamento si presenta pulito oltre la media, elegante, ordinato, in cucina abbiamo trovato tutte le stoviglie possibili ed immaginabili.Piccoli elettrodomestici per cucinare compresi.Yellow Bird colpisce al cuore per la sensazione di pace e tranquillità che sa offrire...
Vista mozzafiato sul mare che con il frangersi delle sue onde vi dà un piacevole risveglio.Stanza da letto direi quasi perfetta , per chi come noi è attento ai dettagli.Ambiente fresco e ventilato.Bagno pulito e ben strutturato.Cucina perfetta.Di rilievo il deck esterno all'appartamento per rilassanti colazioni alla mattina con vista sul mare.Yellow Bird si trova in Zona Silver Sands a 4 km da Oistins..dove si trovano Banche, Market molto ben forniti, ed il famoso mercato del pesce dove tutti i giorni troverete pesce fresco .Di Yellow Bird ci è piaciuto tutto...e di più..e per chi come noi è attento ai dettagli , bene allora viva Yellow Bird.Nessuna nota stonata, tutto sole e relax.Grazie Stefano.Grazie Elisabetta.Un saluto affettuoso.Sperando di poterci rivedere.
