Converted roof space giving very light and spacious accommodation. Beds comfortable. 4 mins walk to S barn station. 3 day group tickets seem best value.
We hired a car at Airport and this allowed us to visit Berchtesgaden and another day the Schlösser At Schwangau. also Dachau before taking up accommodation.
Suggest SatNav as no roads go in straight lines.
Accommodation near to shops. Also in December local Christmas Market. Suggest you take 2 1/2 hour walking tour, 10.15 from Marienplatz. Gives you bearings as well a learning more about the sad history of Hitler legacy you will see and gain more information than trying on your own.
Go to Hofbrauhaus, where Hitler went and spoke, for a real Barvarian time.
Host very discreet and affable. We had no problems but I am sure they would have helped in any situation

Perfect for us
My 18-year-old son and I spent 6 wonderful days at this clean, comfortable apartment outside of Munich. Such a welcome break from hotels! We had several rainy days during our stay and it was actually nice to just sit and relax in our temporary little home rather than be feel forced to be on the move, all the time. dodging maids and other guests.
The owners are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all (we saw them twice) and speak excellent English. The apartment is very near an S-Bahn stop so it is very easy to get into Munich, and also easy to head the other way (South) and enjoy the Bavarian countryside, especially if you have a car, though a car is certainly not necessary. Perlacher Forest is nearby for easy walks and biking. Nice restaurants and grocery stores are also an easy walk away.
Best of both worlds - you have easy access to Munich from a quiet suburban village. Highly recommended.

Mancava solo un imbuto
Tutto quello che si può trovare in una casa vacanze. I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili, otima zona, con parchi e negozi di ogni genere ragiungibili a piedei. Ben servita da trasporti pubblici, con la S-Bhan siete in centro in 15/20'.
L'appartamento è pulito, spazioso, silenzioso e attrezzato (mancava solo un imbuto).
Scherzi a parte credo che ci soggioenerò ancora quando tornerò a Monaco.

Unterhaching is located at the southern border of Munich. The apartment is quiet but nevertheless very central. All shops, restaurents, bus and the station (S-Train S3) are just a 3 minute walk away. With S3 or car you reach downtown Munich (17 min), the central station (21 min), the tradefair (18 min) as well as the airport (40 min). Die Autobahn is just 5 min away. The Bavarian countryside with the alps, lakes, nature and the river Isar is just minutes away. Bikeways are in great condition.
