This was our first visit to Sansepolcro and we enjoyed a delightful stay in Louise and Franco's Garden Apartment.
The ground floor apartment is comfortable, spacious and well appointed making it ideal for a short or extended stay.
Located just outside the walls of the historic centre, with safe and convenient parking, it is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful countryside with its many attractive towns and villages.
Sansepolcro itself is a lovely, vibrant little town with excellent markets, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all located just a few minutes stroll from the apartment.
Louise and Franco are excellent hosts and we have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

Perfect in every way
We couldn't have asked for better hosts than Louise and Franco, or a better place to stay in beautiful Sansepolcro. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable, well-stocked, and just a short walk (5 minutes) to shops, restaurants and delightful cafes. Great central location right across from the city wall. We feel so lucky to have discovered this wonderful place. Great wifi, beautiful garden, enormous dining room, all the comforts of home. We were visiting our daughter who was studying abroad in Sansepolcro and felt so comfortable at the apartment that we hosted a dinner party while we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a lovely meal for entertaining, plus Louise had placed wine, oil, garlic, pasta, coffee, and more in the kitchen before our arrival. Two large supermarkets are within a 10 minute walk. SO much better than we even hoped! Highly recommend this place and these super people.

Very high standard, comfortable, welcoming and great value. If you're looking for a central location with parking nearby and instant access to the shops and restaurants you would be hard pressed to find a better place.

Wonderful stay
As my daughters wedding loomed in Tuscany I had to make a decision on accommodation in Sansepolcro, the nearest town to the wedding villa. Having searched the net for suitable accommodation I could not help returning to the warm welcoming apartment that Louise and Franco advertised. It was the best decision I could have made.
We arrived in Sansepolcro after a hectic two weeks of touring in Spain and Portugal and desperately needed a spacious, comfortable home away from home, to recover and enjoy the wedding.
As with most advertisements I expected the apartment to be somewhat smaller and less than I had anticipated. You can imagine my surprise when we realized that it was actually larger and more spacious than the photographs. I have never been so pleasantly surprised.
With delayed flights Louise was incredibly flexible as our arrival times changed a number of times in one day. When we finally arrived at ten oclock at night they were there welcoming us warmly and making us feel at home instantly. We were also thrilled to find all essentials in the fridge and pantry, milk, bread, butter, jam, cereal,coffee, tea and more. What a pleasant surprise! The bed is large and very comfortable, the solid stone house sound proof, the towels, the linen, everything so welcoming.
Louise and I bonded instantly over a cup of tea and apart from being a great hostess and fun company she also very generously offered to accompany me and my daughter to the bakery and the florist to organize the wedding cake and flowers. I couldn't have done any of this on my own as neither shop spoke any English. I will forever be indebted to Louise for helping us finalize all the little extras and guiding us to the best shops to do so.
So what can I say about this apartment? We didn't as much rent an apartment as stay with friends in the most stylish little town called Sansepolcro. If you want a genuine Tuscan experience you cannot go past this place. You can rent houses but they are isolated, you can stay in hotels and trip over your luggage or you can stay with Louise and Franco and for a short time feel like a local.
I cannot wait to return and use this place as our base for further travel. I adored the host and hostess and loved being introduced to their friends and share Proseco, cheeses and olives over a warm Tuscan sunset in this magnificent Medieval town, Sansepolcro.

Revisiting the magic of Sansepolcro
Though this was our first stay at Louise and Franco's wonderful house, it was our third visit to Sansepolcro. The garden apartment was spacious,comfortable and quintessentially Italian and though the March weather didn't lend itself to our using the garden, it was easy to imagine what a blissful spring and summer setting it might be. The location was a perfect springboard into the delights of the Tuscan countryside: the legions of small idiosyncratic villages and the majesty of Assisi, Cortona, Siena and so much more.
As much as any of these places though it was the generosity and hospitality of Louise and Franco that made our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge and advice was invaluable.
Sansepolcro manages to retain its magic and we can never discount a fourth visit perhaps to renew the aquaintance with Louise and Franco.

Outstanding!
This spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable garden apartment is ideal for a couple seeking a base for an extended, relaxing stay in a genuine Tuscan community. Louise and Franco will welcome you into their impressive home but you will enjoy privacy and exclusive use of the garden and outside dining furniture. The full-sized kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with the basics to get us started. The beautiful pastries and wine were greatly appreciated.
The apartment's proximity to the historic centre renders a car unnecessary but, with safe and convenient parking, a car permits you to explore the surrounding towns and countryside at your leisure.
Our week flew by, but with more to explore and experience, I'm sure that we will return.

FANTASTICO!!!
Abbiamo soggiornato dall'8 al 13 Giugno 2015 in questa splendida casa. Eravamo due persone, andate in quel di Sansepolcro per un corso di aggiornamento di lavoro.
Le foto sul sito web rispecchiano perfettamente la casa e la descrizione sul sito è completa e molto dettagliata.
La proprietaria, Louise, è molto gentile e disponibile.
La casa è completa di tutto l'occorrente necessario, ma anche di tantissime altre cose (stereo, dvd, gira dischi, tantissimi libri, mappe di varie città).
La cucina? Non è attrezzata... di più... c'era tutto!!!
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Ottima posizione e vicinanza dal centro di Sansepolcro.
Ottimo il fatto di avere di fronte a casa un parcheggio gratuito.
... FANTASTICO!!!

Couldn't have been better!
We completed a 2 week Tauck bus tour of Ireland and wanted to spend 2 weeks in Italy exploring Tuscany on our own. We arranged to rent a car at the Florence airport and spend 2 weeks at this villa. Louise, one of the owners, couldn't have been more helpful when I sent her emails requesting information prior to our trip. She and her husband were friendly and helpful during our stay. We were glad to have a few days to rest, wash and make plans for our excursions. There were many books, maps, etc available in the villa to assist us. The villa is attractive, spacious, wonderfully located. We especially enjoyed the table in the garden where we enjoyed many meals. We highly recommend you make a reservation for your trip to Italy!

Sansepolcro:a special place in Tuscany, close to the Umbrian border.
We enjoyed a 2 week stay in Sansepolcro, near Arezzo in Toscana. The apartment was ideal for a couple but it was also very spacious and so would comfortably accommodate more. We loved the garden, too, where we enjoyed many of our meals in the pleasant weather. May is a perfect time to visit Italy as the weather is usually warm but not too hot.
Our hosts Louise and Franco were perfect hosts and were helpful in all respects. As we were without a car, Franco very kindly drove us into Arezzo for a day visit and to the bus stop when we were leaving. The local bus was reliable for visits to some small towns, notably a magnificent hill town called Anghiari which was a five minute bus ride from Sansepolcro. There is also a local train line that is quite close to the apartment which travels to Perugia(the capital of Umbria), with a few stops in between.
Sansepolcro is a friendly town, with quite a few restaurants and bars. There are street markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays and there are still some alimentari in the Centro Storico which offer an authentic Italian shopping experience. If you want more variety in your shopping, there are three supermarkets within walking distance.
Oh yes, and when you've had enough of "la dolce vita", there is an excellent museum which includes works by the artist Piero della Francesca,who was born in Sansepolcro.
We highly recommend this apartment for a relaxing Italian holiday.
