We absolutely loved staying here! The location was great as was the view! The greenery and flowers on the terraces and stairs were beautiful. The villa itself was very spacious, clean, WiFi, tv, a/c, kitchen with many amenities, washing machine and drying rack provided. Each room has its own bathroom with great showers and water pressure. Our host Gaetano was great! He responded quickly and even let us into the villa a little early. We got married at the town hall and there is a set of stairs very close that take you directly to the entrance of the town hall and he agreed to let us having our reception dinner at the villa (as there were only 7 of us) and let us bring in our own chef to cook us dinner. We recommend staying here! Bonus they have a really friendly cat!

Positano was unbeleivable beautiful, great place to see
We go to the Villa on July 15th and met Gaetano he was so very helpful. Gaetano showed the two villas we had rented and went through everything as well as giving us the local spots to got to like Spiaggio Fonillio. We hit a lot of restaurants in the area, you have to go to Tre Sorrellas on the Grande Spiaggio. All of the other restaurants we went to had great food, so fresh you can't go wrong.
Forget about the gelato its everywhere and good. There is one place you have to go to La Tagliata it is in Montepertuso, they will even pick you up, you will not be disappointed but you had better bring your appetite because the food keeps coming. Although we were not close to the beach you could walk there by stairs or by road, I would recommend taking the bus.
If you decide to go the villa is in a good spot for viewing Positano, there are plenty of places to do food shopping for the villa as well as a laundromat.
Everyone speaks English so don't worry about a language barrier.
I had my entire family there 9 of us and an infant and the villa met all our expectations, just be prepared for the hills and stairs after all it is on the side of a mountain.
We would definitely go back

Great Place To Share With Great Friends
My five friends and I came to Positano to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We could not have picked a better Villa for our stay. The interior was very clean. Each one of us had our own bedroom as well as bathroom. It is spit level if you are renting the whole villa (all 6 bedrooms). There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor and 2 bedrooms on the first floor. There are two laundry facilities as well as two kitchens with all the amenities. There are also two balconies with the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. It is on a main road but we didn't mind the sound of cars going by. I barely heard them going by at night. The location was perfect. There is a hotel practically next to the Villa called Gabrisa, where we would get our morning cappuccinos. We also ate dinner there one night and the food was wonderful. We were very centrally located to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. Positano is located in the hills. I do not recommend this area if there is anyone in your party that has trouble with steps as there are literally hundreds of steps up to grocery stores and down to the beaches. The city of Positano is amazing. It is so clean and has so many shops and restaurants. There is something for everyone. Gaetano (who lives on the top floor of the property) is very friendly and knowledgable about the area and can suggest many things to do. He can (and did) arrange for any activities you would like to experience. He can arrange anything from transportation to and from the Villa to making reservations for dinner or to visit the local towns including the island of Capri. One restaurant I suggest you try is II Ritrovo. They will send a car to pick you up and take you back to the Villa, for free. I was a bit skeptical of this restaurant as it seems like it might be very touristy, but the food was amazing. If you decide to try II Ritrovo, I would suggest a reservation. All in all it was an amazing and wonderful vacation made all the more prefect by staying at Villa Maristella

Breathtaking
We spent a week at Villa Maristella and it was truly wonderful. The villa is huge for Positano standards. The villa was impeccable, well furnished, 4 bathrooms with showers and a balcony overlooking positano that is just unbelievable. Gaetano and Anna are great hosts and readily available if ever we needed. Highly recommend villa maristella.

Great place to relax and enjoy Positano.
We traveled with a group of 7 adults and this villa had ample bedrooms and baths for everyone to enjoy their privacy. The balcony overlooking the town of Positano and the Gulf of Naples is breathtaking. The accommodations allowed us to relax after 3 weeks of traveling throughout Italy. The hospitality shown to us by Gaetano was beyond our expectations. We will revisit this wonderful villa when we return to Italy.

more than WONDERFUL
Gaetano is a special man he will do whatever you need to make you stay as comfortable as possible. He will handle whatever trips, car service, etc you need.
The location has a great view of the beach and sea.

Delightful Villa in Positano
A fantastic villa and very helpful owner!!
We have no negatives about Gaetanos fabulous villa in Positano. It really was perfect for our needs and budget.
Booking was easy and Gaetano kept in regular contact regarding our pick up details and plans for the first few days. He was a tremendous host. He organised all our transfers, excursions, a great restaurant on the first night and even dropped in some fresh figs from his garden!
The Villa was spacious with an incredible view of Positano over the large balcony that none of us could take our eyes off.
The house was air-conditioned and came with all standards mod-cons, satellite tv, wifi etc. The rooms were clean, tidy and big enough for all of us, with 3 clean and tidy bathrooms.
It was situated just 5-10mins walk into town, but do make sure you're prepared for the hike back up the stairs when you leave town. You can also jostle for the bus which drops you conveniently close to the villa for a euro or so, but it can get a bit... full-on, in peak times.
Only thing missing would be a small welcome pack of teas, milk and cereals so you don't have to head to the shops straight away.

Positano Perfected
Only one complaint and that is that we had to leave. Everything was wonderful and no words can explain how gracious, helpful and friendly Gaetano was. He was like our personal concierge. Loved, loved, loved our entire stay. Magnificient!

unbelievable - you will love it
this property is everything advertised and more. Wonderful location, spectacular view, gracious owner who lives upstairs. We've rented several apartments in Europe over the years, and this was our favorite. Can't recommend highly enough

Home Away FrThere is om Home!
Let me begin by stating that this was my third year to visit Positano and my second year to stay at the 4 bedroom Villa. there is no way to adequately state how much we have loved staying at this unit. Let we begin by saying I am a senior with a knee issue. My first year I took my daughter and her family and we stayed at a lovely villa but unless you were a mountain goat would not be a good choice. So I searched last year for a more easily accessible unit and I was fortunate to find Gaetano's lovely villa. Seniors take note, Positano is on a mountain and you need to be able to walk and climb steps. The vistas are worth the effort. This unit is about half way up the mountain and has easy access to the main center. My advice is to go down the connecting flight of stairs to the lower level and enjoy the walk to grocery stores, shops, beach and restaurants. Take the bus back up! It stops across from the unit and will make your stay more enjoyable.
Now for the important part. Gaetano and his family are the most gracious, kind, generous and caring people that I have met in my many years of travel. We had two medical issues and Gaetano went out of his way to provide assistance. He arranged a car service to Castellammare dialysis unit when a unit we had failed to operate with the converter. When another of us also became ill, he arranged a house call from the local doctor! A house call!!!
Now to top this all off, his lovely wife cooked and presented us with the best meal we had on our entire trip and believe me we ate at some amazing restaurants. From the Bruschetta to the Tiramisu is was outstanding.
To sum up: Gracious host, two large master bedrooms and two smaller, well appointed kitchen and breakfast area, comfortable living room and TV with cable and English stations. Magnificent Views on a lovely terrace. You would not be disappointed.
