Arriving at the apartment proved to be a bit cumbersome: no dedicated parking, a very tiny elevator (or a climb up the stairs to the fifth floor). But then, the advantages prevail: well equipped, a spacious living area -- we recognized that the owners were actually living here, too. With the two balconies (each with shades) on opposite sides of the building, it is always possible to find (or avoid) the sun -- and that far above the street, the air is fresh, too, and there is not too much noise: only the sirens from an ambulance passing by can be heard from time to time. The beach is nearby (5 min), and even closer, there is a small supermarket and a bus stop with a good service to Savona. Apart from swimming, we enjoyed some hiking tours in the surrounding area. The owner even offered us a folding bike (which we did not use, because we brought our own). The biggest item on our wish list (especially for the kids) was the missing Wifi Internet access -- so we went for a stroll to the public library from time to time. The kitchen was a bit small, but quite usable (preparing the meals for two families takes some space). Most of the time, we ate outside, on the balconies, but there is also a large table inside the apartment. All in all, we really enjoyed our three week stay here in Celle Ligure.
