This delightful cottage rests in Killeavy and can sleep five people in two bedrooms.Katies Cottage is a pretty ground-floor cottage, nestled in the village of Killeavy in Northern Ireland. Made up of a super-king-size bedroom that can be arranged into two singles and a triple bedroom that can be transformed into a super-king-size and one single upon request, this charming dwelling can sleep up to five guests. The house is serviced by a family bathroom, kitchen/ diner and sitting room with a woodburning stove. Off-road parking is available for three cars. Live memorable moments with friends at Katies Cottage. Please note : This property accepts a minimum of 7 nights.

A perfect cosy Irish getaway
We are a family with 3 children and were so happy to spend a few days here near Newry in Katie's Cottage. On the lower slopes of Slieve Gullion, the location is pretty and serene yet a short drive to a great EuroSpar that sells all you may need. Its also right beside a very interesting old monastery site and graveyard. Inside are very comfortable beds, a claw foot bath, lots of hot water, lovely furnishings and a kitchen with all you need to prepare meals. Surrounding walks at Slieve Gullion, Kilbrony Forest Park, Giants Lair kept us all active and delighted to have discovered this gem of an area.

Very modern, spacious cottage in a beautiful part of the country.
Katie's cottage was everything we could've wanted. We had a long stay at Katie's Cottage as we were working remotely.
The location was absolutely perfect for us. We were in the countryside with lots of beautiful walks and hikes around in the Ring of Gullion. Camlough mountain was our favourite. We found ourselves walking to Synge and Byrne Cafe at Slieve Gullion Forest Park cafe on most weekends to eat breakfast while looking out over Killeavy. The cottage is also only a five minute drive from the nearest shop and pharmacy.
As for the cottage itself, it is clear that Malachy has put a lot of effort into making it a great place to stay. There's so many nice touches that make the cottage feel more homely. Inside the cottage is great. It is very modern. Everything we could have needed was in the cottage. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is very powerful and all the essentials are there for self-catering needs. We found ourselves lighting the stove every night as not only did it give out loads of heat, it made the cottage very cosy.
We were working remote and the internet was perfect. Both of us would be on Zoom calls all day and we had no problems with it.
I would definitely recommend Katie's Cottage, it's a fantastic spot.

Lovely cottage with amazing views
We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Katie's Cottage. The host, Malachy, was really helpful and suggested some great places we could visit in the area as well as leaving a welcome hamper for us. The cottage had everything we needed for our holiday and was an excellent base for exploring this part of Ireland. We loved it.
