An ideally situated terraced cottage located 400m from Weymouth Seafront. A 5 minute walk takes you to the beach and town with its shops, restaurants, coach and rail links and leisure facilities all nearby.
The whole family can enjoy all that this beautiful Georgian seaside town has to offer and also the many places of interest nearby such as Durdle Door and Lyme Regis.
Isambard Cottage was built in the mid 1800s to house the growing population of railway workers for Isambard Kingdom Brunels Great Western Railway, part of Weymouths rich historical past.

Great cottage!
Well this cottage was just perfect for me and my partner and our little dog. Close to the town, close to the beach and harbour. Small outside courtyard perfect for us.
It had everything we could of needed.
Can’t wait for our next visit in may!

Just a few things that let the cottage down
Cottage is in a perfect position, close to beach and the shops.
Big bonus having the parking permit, we have been able to park outside the cottage all week.
Cottage lovely and warm.
Living room and bedrooms very nice, but the kitchen needs a few repairs, metal trim fell off first day and the bottom drawer for the pots and pans sticks.
The bathroom could do with a soap dish holder and toothbrush holder .
It is such a shame that I have had to say this as we have enjoyed the week very much.
With a few small changes I would have given the cottage top marks. I would not write this in the visitors book .

Thank you Maureen for your review. I am so sorry that the kitchen metal trim fell off, we would of course have come and mended immediately had we known. We also werent aware of the problem with the pot and pan drawer unfortunately.
re the bathroom your requests have been noted and we will certainly consider putting both of those items in. We are very grateful you have taken the time to review the property and take comments very seriously and rectify immediately. Family Holiday Home
We Stayed at Isambard Cottage as a Family of 6 . Two Adults & 4 older Children .
We struggle to Accommodate a Family of 6 for a Reasonable Budget , but this Cottage was extremely Good value for Money .
The Cottage was Perfect for us , with everything we needed eg all The Home essentials , microwave , Toaster , cooker , fridge. etc .
The location was perfect ,only a short walk to sea front , shops, Restaurants , Local pubs, Harbour etc . Would recommend & would stay again ! X

Great location
Me and 3 friends recently stayed at the cottage for a three night weekend away. The cottage was lovely. Nicely decorated, very comfortable and had all we needed. The location was perfect. Short walking distance to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

Everyone catered for.
There were 4 generations of us taking a break at Isambard Cottage, the youngest 4 years old, so it was quite important to be as near the seafront as possible. This cottage is tucked away up a little street just 5 minutes walk away from the seafront and ideal for families. It is fully equipped with everything except Towels. Very comfortably furnished too, a top floor bedroom with twin beds and a lower floor with a double bedroom and another twin bedroom on the same floor as the bathroom/toilet. All the bed linen was very fresh and beds comfortable. The kitchen equipped with everything and leading out to a small patio area, furnished with garden furniture and Barbeque, We would definitely consider returning to Isambard Cottage, though it has to be said, parking on the street outside is not advised! You do park at your own risk however, and unfortunately, our car (only a year old) took a couple of knocks while parked on Bath Street, incurring some expense, making it an expensive break! We noted that there are a couple of Car parks in the vicinity and would recommend anyone spending a break here use the them and not risk parking o the street...they were not built for today's traffic and as such we have to accept that. We enjoyed a lovely break at Isambard Cottage and we will definitely go back and recomend it. Something to consider though, is that both staircases are steep, and not suitable for elderly and infirm.
