This apartment in a Hernals district old building (1881) was recently refurbished, with a large most comfortable bed and 2 armchairs.The dining table is a bit small,but OK for 2 people. The lack of a TV was no hardship as there is a lovely music system with CDs to suit most tastes. The bedside lights looked very authentic and provided good light for reading. The shower/toilet room is a bit cramped with a very unuser-friendly small sink,but there was always plenty of hot water. Breakfast basics of bread,butter,milk,cheese, fruit, tea and coffee,and even 2 cold beers were provided. A good cut price store is only 5 minutes away,so limited cooking can be done on the 2 ring hob,if desired. Ines,the lady in charge,who lives on the next floor,was most helpful and pleasant at all times. The apartment is near both the underground station and the tram stop.We bought a weekly transport ticket,available in kiosks or underground stations for 16.50 euro per person,which covers all transport options for a week, and even entitles you to a reduction in the train price to the airport from Praterstern underground stop. You buy your train ticket in the BCC shop in the station for only 1.70 euro each for a good half hour's travel. (35 euro in a taxi !) Vienna is a wonderful city and this apartment will suit those who like history and old buildings.

Our hosts greeted us with a generous refrigerator of food, warmth and an enthusiasm to make our stay as memorable as possible. Very useful advice on transport was forthcoming, particularly in regard to linking up the components of the city's integrated transport system. Effective use of tram and Metro meant that our apartment was much closer to the city than it had at first seemed. In fact, we were able to walk comfortably from the Old Town to the tram without resorting to the Metro. The apartment itself was spacious, spotless, well-equipped and secure. The bed was most comfortable and the furnishings excellent. It comes as no surprise that the apartment was an Art Nouveau award winner. Great hosts, great apartment and a wonderful stay.

This apartment is 25 minutes walking - or 5 minutes by tram - away from the center of the city. So the location is very good, quiet neighborhood, with free street parking 300 m away from the building entrance. The host makes you feel at home, we had cold beer in the fridge, fruit, a lot of CDs with classical, blues, jazz, rock music- take your pick. The apartment itself is clean, with art nouveau furniture and the whole atmosphere is bohemian.I would strongly recommend this apartment.

I have rented the property for my parents, an elderly couple and was a bit uncertain due to the stairway needed to pass to get the apartment located on the 1-st floor. Actually it was not a problem at all. The property itself is nice and have a great location close to a stops of a various means of public transport. The owner, Ines was, very helpful and responsible doing more than anyone can do to make your stay nice and easy.

Because of the noise in the hotel, i left the hotel and found this little apartment, and i could sleep so long i wanted. The location was very near to everything and the refrigerator was full and there was beer.

We stayed here for a week.Pros, very nice hosts, close to an underground station from where easy to visit most of Vienna City and plenty of supermarkets nearby.Cons, staircase is a challenge especially with suitcases and for elderly, quite noisy with ambient traffic , and very hot this time of year absent any fans, also we did assume would have a tv.

The apartment is one living room with a small kitchen and bathroom in a quiet residential area very convenient for the metro. It is furnished in the art nouveau style There are a couple of supermarkets and a few bars/restaurants close by which are good value. The fridge was very well stocked and the wifi was excellent. There is no tv which didn't bother me, it is on the second floor with no lift which could be tricky for some but it has character and felt like 'real' Vienna rather than a sterile holiday flat. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Good value. If I go to Vienna again I would definitely stay here.

This apartment is in an old building which is conveniently located near 2 tram lines and a train station. It is furnished with antique furniture and has many personal touches such as a sound system with a collection of CDs, a large library of books and living pot plants. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the fridge was stocked with eggs, cheese, butter , milk and jam, bread and coffee were also provided. This was great as we arrived on Sunday and there were no shops open. Our hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable and answer our questions about Vienna. The kitchen space was limited but workable. There was no TV or washing machine. The apartment was on the second floor and accessible only by windy, stone staircase which was a challenge with luggage.. Overall we had a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

The Art Nouveau apartment is located within 5 min walking distance from U6 station Alser Strasse; thus it takes no longer than half an hour to get to most of the central places of interest in Vienna. A lot of shops, supermarkets, bars and places to eat within easy reach as well as a large market just a couple of blocks from the apartment, which we visited on Saturday. The antique furniture and numerous plants create a unique atmosphere. The bed is large and very comfortable. We enjoyed listening to jazz CDs on the old-fashioned stereo system. The kitchenette is small but contains everything you might need for cooking. The hosts – Ines and Gokhan – are very friendly and helpful. They indeed made us feel like home. They arranged flexible check-in and departure, provided the fridge packed with fruit and snacks on our arrival and also helped us with all the numerous requests we addressed them with during our stay. We would definitely recommend this apartment to those who prefer to experience a little piece of real Vienna rather than staying at a hotel.

Inès nous a très bien accueillis, l’appartement est exactement comme on le décrit et le quartier est correct – dans une rue latérale près du Gurtel et à proximité de plusieurs stations de métro et de tram et à côté des magasins dont un marché très intéressant dans la Brunnengasse. L’immeuble est typique des immeubles viennois du 19e siècle. Le studio convient parfaitement à un couple pour faire la cuisine, se reposer et dormir. C’était un plaisir de faire la connaissance d’Inès et elle s’est très bien occupée de nous.
