Six of us came from the US and rented the house. We had planned 10 days of sightseeing but were quarantined by corona virus after second day. If you have to be quarantined, Casa del Tesoriere is a good place! Comfortable. Love the sunny garden. We had been to Malta many times before but never stayed in Mdina. It is quiet and makes you feel like you landed in a different century. Joanna was a wonderful hostess, though she couldn’t meet with us in the house after we were quarantined. Andrea helped us with planning before we arrived. We will stay there again.

It's hard to overstate how amazing this property is. The house was the former residence of the treasurer of St Paul's Cathedral and clearly that was a job worth having! My extended family and I stayed here earlier this month (10 adults, 2 young children and a baby) and with a group ranging from 6 months to 81 years, it was perfect for everyone. The property is huge and even with a large group such as ours, it never felt cramped. It was a real privilege to stay in such a magnificent property right in the heart of Mdina. The property is literally a stone's through from two great restaurants (Coogi and Fontanella) and is across the square from an ice-cream parlour which went down well with adults and kids alike. You're a 5 minute walk from the city gates where a regular and wide variety of buses will take you all over the island. The owner, Joanna, was incredibly helpful, arranging airport transfer, meeting us on (a very delayed) arrival and even leaving us a starter pack of groceries to allow us to hit the ground running. Admittedly it's tricky to find a bad view in Mdina but it's hard to imagine any other property being better situated or more impressive within. We had a great experience here and it's one I hope to repeat at some point in the future.

Perfect location and wonderful hosts! There is no better place to stay in Mdina and all the other tourists will be jealous. Each time we stepped out of this gorgeously maintained Palazzo, tourists were snapping photos of the house. We felt like celebrities! The palace - for that is what it truly is - has 5 bedrooms, several large salons/dining rooms, a big kitchen, and best of all, a beautiful walled garden. The garden has a small pool, not really a swimming pool but nevertheless perfect for cooling off after a long day under the sun. You can float on your back and stare at the stars. The hosts were so helpful, always responding very quickly to our questions. Outside the front door is Malta's best gelateria, and the town also has many other nice restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend this wonderful, historic and beautiful palace!

We made Casa del Tesoriere our base for Eurovision week and it could not have been more perfect. The location was wonderful with amazing views out across the valley just outside. We also had some great restaurants within walking distance and ventured to Valletta a couple of times which was really easy by public transport. I'd highly recommend this property - it's beautiful inside and out - with its lovely garden and small pool. It truly is a jewel in the crown of Mdina. We learned that the house is quite famous and it was great to see people's faces in restaurants when we casually mentioned that we lived there (for a week). Andrea the host was also great and her hamper of essentials and more was most welcome as it took us a few days to find a local store for provisions.

Spent a week with friends in this gorgeous house. The property is in the heart of the Silent City and perfectly located for great restaurants and the sights of the city. The quality of the accommodation is outstanding and we felt privileged to be allowed to stay here. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. We made use of the generously proportioned jacuzzi and relaxed in the private walled garden - it was like being on an island in the middle of a city. The host, Andrea, was very welcoming and friendly and we felt relaxed and completely at home from the moment we arrived. Hopefully we will return and enjoy this special property again - it would be a great pity not too.

My friends and I stayed here for 8 fantastic nights. The property is set within the picturesque town on Mdina which has many fantastic places to eat and drink on your doorstep as well as many amazing places to visit. We could not fault the property at all, in fact it was a privilege to stay in such an historic and grand building. Our host Andrea could not have been more helpful organising transfers, advice, recommendations etc - very friendly indeed. We also made use of the taxi service recommended by Andrea, even booking a full day of excursions and taken to different attractions, islands - which we could not have done on our own. I would not hesitate to stay again and are already discussing a return visit. This was truly an amazing property to stay whilst enjoying our first visit to Malta - 5*

Me and my 7 friends stayed here for 7 full nights. The place is just like the pictures lovely and full of character. Nice sun trap in garden if want to chill and small fountain was like a pool to sit in if wanted. The location was right in centre, so perfect and close to transport. The owner was in communication if you needed anything and responded straight away. I recommend you let her do transfers so easy and reliable and helped with keys to house. Also I have to say a massive 5 star to the taxi service they recommend you felt like you had your own chauffeur, we used them most of week and they always were free and on time and good price and very friendly great people. The town was lovely the food was great and prices were very reasonable indeed. We recommend a nice small friendly place called Adelina. (Service food great the best all week). Fontanella (view and food) and Coogis were great and within a stones throw. Finally was all quite hassle free owner was very friendly and lovely person well recommend from us all. Mdina itself is a truly picturesque town. It is a very unique place. Andrea and Joanna's palazzo is gorgeous. We worried that without a car, it might be inaccessible but Malta is small and public transport gets you everywhere. We were so thrilled that we had chosen Mdina as our base. It is so silent and majestic! Great restaurants. The house itself is on two main levels with several roof terrace areas. The kitchen is well equipped. Joanna was helpful in every way and welcoming. Don’t be fooled into thinking there isn’t plenty to do in Mdina and Malta - we could have stayed another week and still not had time to do & see all that Malta has to offer. Staying in Mdina showed us a world unexpected - it’s like a film set. Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed here for 8 nights and have absolutely no complaints. In fact, we can only speak positively about this amazing villa. It is set in the most beautiful town of Mdina just steps away from many restaurants and multiple places of attraction. The house was spotless and had all the necessary amenities we needed. To top it all off, the owners were extremely helpful - organising an airport transfer for us, and facilitating a very late arrival. They helped us with everything we needed! I highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to visit Malta, and to experience living in a Medieval town. You will not regret it.

If you’re looking for unique accommodation in Malta that offers style, history and modernity in a superb setting, then look no further. We recently had the privilege of staying in this magnificent palazzo. Located in Bastion Square, Mdina with its superb views across a large swathe of Malta you also have access to a number of very good restaurants, all within a short walking distance. Public transport to all parts of Malta and taxis are also well catered for, again, all within a short walk from the palazzo. The owners of the palazzo (Joe and Joanna) met us on arrival and we’ll never forget their graciousness and kindness, nothing was a trouble to them. The palazzo itself is truly grand, stylishly furnished but with all modern conveniences. We particularly liked the classical furnishings, the high ceilings, the enormous rooms and beautifully appointed bathrooms. In quieter moments it was a real pleasure to make use of the rear garden to relax and watch the world go by. We were very reluctant to leave this very special place but we’ve already began the conversation concerning a return trip in the not too distant future.
